Bearnye (Mikey) decided to do that a few months ago with Don't drop the soap, and although it had 40+ players in the first few weeks of the launch, it dropped to 0 after 2 months, which forced him to eventually close the server for a second time. Most probably, not many new players will be really interested after the relaunch of Convicted, and the majority of the players would just be veterans and people who have previously joined the server.

I really hope the revamp of Convicted to be a successful one in the long term. But with the changes in what most people want, it has definitely proven to be a grave problem.
