    Maybe a chemistry set for separating out the liquid components of a potion? How about a magic-fuelled "uncooker"?
    Plus you could always add in a pseudo-deconstruction recipe for cake that would take cake + 3 empty buckets and give you back the initial ingredients, or you could just decide that they can't recover the milk and give back the wheat, eggs and sugar.

    Edit: Also, how does this mod work with recipes that produce multiple copies of an item, i.e. signs, empty potion bottles, slabs, etc?

    You really need to start reading the post you're commenting on. I have gold nuggets, I've placed them everywhere, and I've also tried disabling the need for extra resources, which you'd know if you bothered to read before replying.

    Short version of my post: This mod doesn't work for me. I've tried everything. Why not?
    Reasonable reply: What does "everything" include?
    Answer: Read the long version of my post.

    Way to short-circuit those people saying "have you tried X?" where X is something I've tried: List lost of details for what I've tried in case somebody wants to be nice and help. You obviously don't want to help and didn't even read the post, so kindly refrain from commenting.

    Thank you. I hadn't noticed that there even was a slot under the scroll bar, because it's invisible (at least on my machine). All I saw were the two slots on the left.

    Like so many others, I can't seem to get it to enchant anything (details at the bottom of this post). I've fiddled with the settings and the only thing I can find that will let me actually enchant anything is to turn this mod off entirely. So I have a couple of questions and suggestions.

    1) Does the current version of this mod actually function (in the sense of allowing people to enchant items by selection)?
    If yes, please post a workaround in the OP for the problem with being unable to use it. I think enough people have asked that this warrants and answer.
    If no, please say so in the OP.
    My suggestions here are entirely about communicating with your audience. I understand that rewriting a mod from scratch is a difficult and time-consuming activity, and that you (I assume) have a life outside MC modding, but writing a sentence or two in the original post to alleviate the confusion of what appears to be dozens of people seems like not an unreasonable request.

    2) Is there some indication of why the enchantment ability is not currently available to me?
    If yes, could you make it more clear?
    If no, this might be a good idea to implement in future.

    3) Am I simply being stupid/unobservant?
    If yes, I would greatly appreciate someone pointing out the obvious to me. Sometimes I need it.
    If no, why does it feel like I'm missing something obvious?

    Details of my problem:
    I am using version 1.14.3 installed fresh (in fact a fresh install of Windows as well).
    I've got 10 bookshelves around the enchanting table, and it does recognize that.
    I can place items in the slots and select enchantments just fine.
    I am level 51.
    I have been trying to enchant an undamaged iron pickaxe with silk touch (and nothing else); this should take only 7 levels according to the table.
    B:StrictEnchanting=true (I have tried it with false, no help)
    B:UseMod=true (I have tried it with false, it turns off the mod)
    B:needBookShelves=true (I have tried it with false, no help)
    B:needToUnlockFirst=false (I have not tried it with true as there is no indication I can find as to what "unlocking" would actually involve)
    B:needsResources=true (I have tried it with false, no help).
    I have read back to the post in this thread where a 1.5.1-compatible version is first announced (on page 37), and have found nothing that was suggested to be helpful.

    AznaktaX: Actually I've had those and more problems with the iron boat in this version. Sorry, but I don't know how to fix them, I think it's a result of my not understanding the client/server thing. Until this version I avoided that by just making SSP-only mods, but now SSP uses the client-server model as well, so I wouldn't be surprised if one or two of my mods just broke, and I think this is the one.

    I'm a modder who's been around for a little while but I've hit a bug in the newest version of MC with my mod End Glass (adds an explosive-resistant glass block and door). I'm having three problems with my end glass door.
    1) The door does not respond to redstone signals at all.
    2) The door (and the end glass block) take forever to break, even when using a diamond pick. They drop correctly, they just don't modify the amount of time it takes based on what tool is being used.
    3) When I walk through an open end glass door with a pressure plate in front and in back and solid blocks on either side, sometimes I get stuck jittering at the edge of the door. This is easily worked around by walking backwards, then reapproaching the door, but it's annoying.

    If anybody has any ideas about what might be going wrong with any of these three, I'd be grateful for the help.

    I work with MCP, so if you're unfamiliar please bear with me.

    My BlockEndGlassDoor class extends BlockDoor and only overrides a few methods; it overrides the constructor to use my own material (yes it calls the super's constructor), it overrides idDropped (this works correctly), it overrides getBlockTexture (this works correctly), it overrides getMobilityFlag (untested) and it overrides blockStrength (I think this method is deprecated).

    I haven't tested or changed the PML in quite a while, it should still use coal, redstone dust, or gold ingots for fuel. It's possible that MCP changed the name of one of their deobfuscated methods causing the activation for the PML to simply always fail - that's something I'll need to look into in the next day or two once real life leaves me a break.

    All mods updated to 1.4.4. Sorry for the delay to both of my loyal users, real life gets in the way.

    IDList has a minor change to allow for lots of subtypes of an item/block and InstantDecay has been discontinued, otherwise all the mods are unchanged.

    Yes, it's actually fairly simple. What you want the block's instructions to be are:
    water+lava
    (replaces water source blocks with lava source blocks). It will still remove non-source water blocks entirely of course, but that just lets the lava flow into its new shape after a few ticks.

    water+11
    since you can't replace something with just a material.
