posted a message on (Solved) Right Click Scoreboard doesn't work?

I actually think, like in the same way you can set a score with the criteria of minecraft:used.carrot_on_a_stick and so on, you can do minecraft:dropped_item, which works on ALL items.

    But I'll try both!

I think I'll just use dropping items then, makes things easier!

    Thanks though...

posted a message on Custom Death Message Help #2 (Triggering)

This is half-related to a post I did a few weeks back, but it's a different problem.

I am making custom death messages for my Kit PvP Minigame, and I have it so that when someone gets a kill, it triggers a tellraw command like:

(Player with 1 kill) defeated (Player with 1 death).

    Or something like that.

That all works now, but now I want to add in single messages for people who, say, die of fall damage or something. Like:

    (Player with 1 death) fell.

So, how do I trigger a tellraw command when a player has a death, but NOT when someone kills someone.

    Does that make sense?

The problem I have at the moment is, someone kills someone, meaning someone has one kill, and someone has a death, it shows both the kill message (Player was killed by Player), AND the death message (Player fell).

How can I trigger this when someone has one death, but also when no one has a kill?

(Please tell me if this makes sense).

Um... so I may have the idea of this mixed up, but what I thought you could do was this:

Set up a scoreboard objective, e.g. Click, with a criteriatype of minecraft.used:acacia_fence.

Get acacia_fence in your inventory. Right click it. It sets the score to 1...

Meaning you could now select the player with a Click score of 1.

Am I understanding this wrong? Because it doesn't seem to work...

Is 'use' right click? Or something else?

posted a message on Can't Disable Slots in Item Frames (1.13)

Pretty much, I've got an item frame with an item in it. I don't want ppl (in adventure mode) to be able to rotate or take out the item.

I've looked around, and everything seems to be for 1.12 and lower. I've attempted to modify the data, making it invulnerable and such. Attempted to Disable Slots, but that doesn't seem to exist.

    How do I do, please?

For me, at least, I love adventure maps. They tell a story, and often, very well. I THINK that's what I see most ppl doing, but I'm not really that sure...

    I believe it would have to be something like: /title @a title {"text":"title"}

posted a message on Custom Death Message Help?

Thanks mate, I thought it might be something like that, but I went over it enough times to assume it wasn't.

It's both frustrating (because you've wasted so much time) and good (because it's not a bigger issue).

    Also, thanks for simplifying it!

posted a message on Custom Death Message Help?

I've been making a little minigame, where I decided to disable DeathMessages and make my own custom ones.

Pretty much, I had it working like: DMDeaths was a deathCount, DMKills was a playerKillCount.

When someone got a kill, a command would activate, and it would say Player was killed by Player. Or, @p[scores={DMDeaths=1..}] was killed by @p[scores={DMKills=1}]. That way, when someone got a kill, they would have had to kill someone (obviously), meaning someone would have a death.

So, this was working all fine until I tried to add multiple ones.

I switched this one to one that said. Player defeated Player in battle. And suddenly it didn't work.

So the commands I have at the moment are this:

In a repeating, always active command block:

    /execute at @p[scores={DMKills=1}] run setblock 1984 101 1963 minecraft:redstone_block

In an imuplse command block, activated by the redstone block of the previous command:

    /tellraw @a ["",{"selector":"@p[scores={DMKills=1}]"},{"text":" defeated "},{"selector":"@p[scores={DMDeaths=1}"},{"text":" in battle"}]

In a chain command block, following this:

    /scoreboard players set @p[scores={DMDeaths=1..}] DMDeaths 0

    Another chain command block:

    /scoreboard players set @p[scores={DMKills=1}] DMKills 0

    Another chain:

    /setblock 1982 101 1963 minecraft:air

Now. After all these, what should happen is, if I give someone one death, and one kill, it should say: Player was defeated by Player in battle. But, for some reason it only says one name there, whether the scores are genuine or not...

Can someone please help me with this?

posted a message on Making all players tracked on scoreboard? (1.13)

Or are tags the wrong thing to use?

(Okay, so I was mixing up tags and scoreboard tags, if you can call them that...)

I think I have everything working now :).

posted a message on Making all players tracked on scoreboard? (1.13)

Okay, so I've figured out the answer to this myself, but I've run into another problem which is relatedish...

(For anyone wanting to know what the solution is, use [tag=!score])

I have a repeating command block that is always active, and has the command below in it...

    /execute at entity @p[tag=!NotNew] run setblock 1975 101 1975 minecraft:redstone_block

Which, from what I got, meant that if a player did not have any score (like, not even 0) then the block would be set.

However, when I tested it, it spammed the redstone block (which activated a chain of command blocks), and got me into a loop which I couldn't get out of. (I had backups, thankfully).

I've tried various variations, such as /execute as, and /execute if, and such, but they all have the same result.

(The command block chain, by the way, does a heap of stuff to any players without a NotNew score, and then sets their score to 1. Several commands, in particular, use /tellraw, like "Welcome, <Player>", and if I don't have any NotNew score, it says my name, but if nobody doesn't have a NotNew score (everyone has one), it just says "Welcome, " and spams that...

How can I rig it up so that it only sets the redstone block when there is a player without it?

posted a message on Making all players tracked on scoreboard? (1.13)

I'm trying to track all players who join a world (I don't know who they will be, so I can't just add them myself)... But I can't quite figure out how.

I can't just give all players a score of 0, because I want people to be given scores and so on.

What I mainly what to know is, is there a way to select a player WITHOUT a score? (NOT with a score of 0).

I'm pretty sure there was before 1.13, but can't figure it out now...

posted a message on Binding II not working in 1.13?

I guess that'd work, but I have a LOT of items, and doing that to each of them'd be a real pain...

I saw the Binding II thing HERE, and when I tried it in 1.12.2, it worked on my items as well... But now it doesn't?

    Thanks for the help, anyway.
