Trama Root grows on stone, by the way. Not grass, not sand, not water, and not cobblestone, but stone. Typically in dark caves to boot. To grow it at all one typically needs a dark cave-like room.
YX33A - There is ALWAYS enough room for more testers! Welcome aboard! Also - you don't HAVE to use GregTech, it was just the first mod I thought of in terms of helping to make things a bit more difficult. Use whatever other mod you can think of that amps up the challenging part of it.
~snip~
Thanks m9, but like I said, stability must be reached first.
MystCraft was the source of my lag, but now I can 'fix' this by adding other mods.
RF Tools is on my list of "add and restabilze" mods.
I plan on trying the challenge soon-ish, if you have room for another
modded tester. Gonna go Anglo-Saxon and do eet advanced mode.
I do need to stabilize my current instance first, though. Somehow it's
gotten very unstable. Lag gets bad almost instantly, and all but
unbearable shortly after that.
And I'm going advanced, so in goes GT, and while I'm at it, GalaticCraft.
So I found an interesting bug that I don't know if anyone has said before I went to put the Dispelling buff on my leggings and my game crashed and bricked my world, then I took am2 out of the mod pack to save that world, but when I put AM2 back into it on a different world the whole talents page was missing in the occulus but in a world I had already created before hand it was still there... can anyone help I'm downloading a new instance of the mod now hopefully that will fix it but I doubt it.
It's a known issue, and it's a bad one, yes. Easy enough to prevent, though; don't put the dispel buff on leggings.
Have you tried making a pool for it to draw it from?
The Neutral Nexus can, IIRC, draw liquid etherium from below it, and will trace flowing liquid etherium back to the source, and will draw from blocks near the source too.
I can disable it for you, if you like. In the next version, the cloaks will do the inverse of the MC cape setting as far as disabling (so if you set capes ON, cloaks are OFF, and vice versa). If you're not OK to wait for that, let me know and I can turn it off.
There's an addon mod that changes flower spawns, posted a few pages back (somewhere around pg 432 iirc). That might help with Tarma Root.
As for Moonstone, it only falls at night, so make sure you aren't sleeping each night away. It only falls somewhere within 32 blocks of a player, and only one can fall every 2 minecraft days.
I see.
Well, since god only know how long that update will be(and you and your protege of course), if it's not too much trouble, yes please, do disable it.
Just the cloak, mind you! Even with the UI for the particles being a touch funky(bars move without being touched if I mouse over them at all), I quite like them.
Is there any way to get affinity tomes in version 008 (apart from the NONE oine)?
I've already killed around 25 AM2 bosses but none of them dropped one. According to the AM wiki, the random tomes as loot were moved to Better Dungeons/Chocolate Quest but I also haven't found a single tome in any of the chests there (and they also don't seem to contain any mod loot, only vanilla armor and food).
I'm fairly sure they actually are no longer used.
Last I heard(which was a while ago, plus the tomes were added after this point), merely casting spells increases your affinity.
They never did seem to drop from bosses, oddly enough, and while they did occasionally spawn in chests from Better Dungeons/Chocolate Quest, that was, IIRC, quite a while ago.
I like the purified carbon idea, however I must object that it is already difficult to initially get going with your mod. My friends have enough difficulty grasping the simple math involved with matching torque and speed values, let alone adding extra steps.
Although, perhaps the extra effort put into refining before hand could improve yield?
Shifting gears here, I'm still running v22. But I noticed that the Converter upgrade Tier 2, has not gained a single microTesla for over an hour with a 3 second magnetizing rate.
At the risk of sounding elitist, if your friends can't understand the basic math involved with rads and torque, maybe they shouldn't be playing RotaryCraft but having a refresher course on math.
That said, the converter upgrade, in v22... Does the issue persist when you upgrade to v23b? Because last I checked, Reika isn't supporting even slightly outdated versions of his mods(wise move IMO).
My thoughts on using charcoal instead of Coal to make HSLA Steel? I kinda thought you did require charcoal instead of coal proper.
I've got a bit more interest in actual Metallurgy then a good deal of Minecraft players, and yes, Charcoal is better then coal in such a situation. Coal itself tends to have impurities, and in fact, it's rare to find coal that doesn't have some impurity of some kind, let alone one that isn't going to mess with the steel itself.
After all, steel isn't just an alloy of carbon and iron; it's vastly more complex then that.
...also, going to mention this on the FTB forums as well, but did the makers of PneumatiCraft and HydrauliCraft mention the API issues with your mod and theirs? IE your mod has outdated versions of one or both of their API files and the game can't even load until one trims your copies of their API files?
A kind of "Axe of Stream"-ish modifier would be great for some tools of TiC
Just double checking, what aspect of the axe of the stream? I assume the part where harvested blocks flow to you because there is no benefit of the tree cutting skills of it when we have lumber axes...
And that flowing bit would be very handy I must admit.
Most mod devs have jobs outside of modding. They have school, or family commitments, or whatever else to do *in addition* to what they're doing for Minecraft. It's been a little under 3 months. If you think that's too long, let me introduce you to EE3.
Furthermore, just because people are jonesing for it doesn't mean that Drullkus should just up and release something he isn't happy with even if it would placate some of the more impatient of the people here. Releasing buggy mods to the masses does no one any good because the general public has no idea how to make a bug report and it can only amount to frustration and an issue tracker full of nonsense.
TL;DR: Stop the doom-and-gloom vaporware crap.
Well aware, mate. Like, all of your post, I know that. Seriously, you think I'm just another tween whining because this isn't out yet? I want it, but I'm patient enough to wait. Even for EE3, and I did wait for EE3 and it's come a long way.
Just thought I'd address the reason why people are worried about the chance that this may be Vaporware. And I'll be waiting until there is a release or the project crumbles.
...And EE3? Try waiting for the next Redpower 2 release.
I don't think any of those would interfere with it. Well I'm stumped. Sorry. ;_;
I have the same issue as well. Gonna waste some time and see if I can't find a reason why it doesn't spread.
...Would adding one via NEI be a issue? Or is that not actually gonna make a difference?

I am, yeah.
Likely a hybrid of a picture play through and some live video sections since the internet here is terribad.

There is a bug tracker for AM2, isn't there?

QUICK, BATMAN! Call Superman, maybe he can help!

Sorry to pester Mithion, but any news on the cloak and disabling it?
Minecraft username is the same as my username here, if you're wondering.
...Pretty much the same everywhere, honestly.

Hello again, MC forums. I didn't miss this site, I admit.
So, uh, quick question(or not so quick), but is there a way to disable the cloak for supporters, and if so... how do I disable the cloak?
It's pretty and all, but gets in the way very often.
