I'm dedicating 9 Gs of RAM, but when I look on the debug screen it tells me Minecraft is using only like 5% of it.

Maybe, I should update to FTB Unleashed, which runs Minecraft 1.5 instead of 1.4.7?

posted a message on Applied Energistics and Forestry Bees
    Hello Minecraft Forum,
I've been playing around with bees, that are introduced in the Forestry mod, and automating my apiaries with Applied Energistics. I am running FTB Ultimate by the way. So, here is the system:

So, the bees get piped out of the Ender chest (that is connected to my Bee Base, where all my bees are stored), and into a regular chest. That chest is connected to an ME Import Bus, so my ME Network sucks out all the bees piped into the chest.

My ME Network is then connected to some ME Export Buses that are connected to the apiaries.

So, in theory, bees that come into my ME system will be exported into the bees respective apiaries (decided by the labels I have given to the Export buses, right? No, and that is the problem I need a solution to. :) It seems like the only bees that get exported into the apiaries are the exact ones I used to label the Export Buses.

This apiary is connected to the same Export Bus as above, but has no bees in it, even though the same species of bees are in my ME Network.

Thanks for your help guys! I now we'll think of something. :)

That's surprising, but I do know that mods, especially big ones, can really weight down your system.

Yeah, and even more so with those huge mods now textured with HD textures.

Thanks for the responses guys. :) I just downloaded Sphax and the FTB modpack patch and merged them together. But, when I ran my game with the texture pack active, it slowed down to 2-6 frames per second. I guess I can't run it. It must be all the HD mod blocks the game has to load that slows it all down...:( I guess I'll just scale down to 64x. Thanks for your help though guys. It's always appreciated. :) (By the way, I am running with Optifine installed)

    Hello Minecraft Forum,

I have been playing Feed The Beast for a long time now, and am getting tired of the default textures. I have seen some videos of people playing FTB with Sphax and suddenly got hooked on the cartoony feel, so I was wondering if my computer can run Sphax PureBDCraft (http://bdcraft.net/)128x. Here are my computer specs:

Processor 3.1 GHz Intel Core i7
    Memory 16 GB 1600 MHz DDR3
Graphics NVIDIA GeForce GT 650M 512 MB

    Thanks so much guys. :)

I can't wait for the update! Love this mod. But wont the Optifine incompatibility cause some lag? Just wondering.

Hi, I tried Optifine, and it works pretty well, but I am still wondering about the RAM thing (look at above posts). If anyone has any ideas, please feel free to post them.:)

Usually the problem with Minecraft isnt the RAM, its usually the graphic card or the CPU. What you could do is lowering the render distance a little, since it eases up a lot of the burden on the system, OR you can install the Optifine Mod(if you arent using it), to better your fps by a decent amount.

OK, well, I'm still wondering why FTB only uses 4% of the RAM, even though it would run better with it. Is there a way to set the minimum RAM?

    Hello Minecraft Forum,
I have been playing FTB for a while, using Sphax PureBDCraft 64x (http://bdcraft.net/) and have been enjoying it very well. My Apple computer has 16 gigabytes of RAM, 3.1 GHz, and Intel Core i7, and I have allocated 9Gs of RAM to FTB in the launcher settings. But, I am still running Minecraft with 30-40 frames per second, and the debug information (by pressing fn F3) says it it using only 3-4% of the allocated memory. I would like to run it a little smoother and maybe even try higher resolution texture packs, considering how much RAM I have ^_^ . Thanks for your help guys!

There should still be a forge log in the tekkit folder that would help diagonse the issue.

    FML doesn't give one either.

    Thanks guys,
I know it's not a ID problem and I'm not sure the permgen idea will fix it. I've tried using older versions of forestry, but that didn't work either. What's weird is that the modpack Feed The Beast uses Railcraft, Thaumcraft 3, and Forestry together, and it still works perfectly... I'm starting to think its a problem with Tekkit Lite itself... Thanks for your help guys! Hopefully this problem will be resolved. :)

Unless I'm mistaken, Forge dumps a log in your .minecraft folder called ForgeModLoader-client-0.log. Check for any errors in there :) And in your test, you added them to the Tekkit Lite pack or ran them by themselves? Just to be clear.

I added them into the Tekkit Lite pack.

    Hello guys
I recently have been trying to install other mods into Tekkit Lite. In the long run, I wanted to get these mods onto my Tekkit Lite server, but thought it would be smart to test it on a single player world instead. So, the mods I added are; Railcraft_1.4.7-6.17.0.0, Thaumcraft3.0.3, and forestry-A-2.0.0.10. Railcraft and Thaumcraft both worked fine together and separately. However, when I start up Minecraft with all three mods together, it boots up fine and I can start the world without any trouble, but when I open my inventory (by pressing "E") the game slows down to like 1 fps, then says "Shutting down internal server..." and stays on that screen forever. Unfortunately, I cannot provide a crash log because Minecraft never goes to the crash screen and FML doesn't give one either. :( Thanks for your time!
