Quote from FredFredrickson»This is just baseless, emotional garbage.
If you've paid any attention to what Microsoft is doing these days, you'd know that they aren't a Windows-only company any more. They aren't stupid - they know that minecraft is a success because it's everywhere. They aren't going to kill it by trying to make it Windows-only.
Sure you could you could just have steve mining, building, and killings zombies. Sounds great I would pay 15 dollar to see it in the movie then pay 30 for the blueray...Quote from BrokenEye
I love Minecraft, but there is literally no possible way they could successfully turn it into a good movie

Sorry about that! I wrote the article but the title I submitted said "Curse.com Reaches 500 Mods!". I didn't even notice that it was changed when Sacheverell posted it. XD

You are confusing Curse.com and CurseForge.com. Curse.com is where users are supposed to go to find released and beta mods. So, while CurseForge may have 1001 projects, half of those are in alpha stage, don't even have files yet, and/or are experimental, while Curse.com finally reached 500, roughly 506 now. If you read the article, we explained how Curse.com and CurseForge.com are different and we're trying to educate the public about those differences.
Curse.com = Download Released and Beta mods. Where USERS should download them.
CurseForge.com = Project hosting site for AUTHORS to upload mods.
As for filtering by the version the mod supports, it's tougher than you think. Most mods stay up-to-date with Forge, and mod authors are continuously updating from version to version. If there is a mod that you like, I suggesting taking the extra click or two to see the "Other downloads" tab on Curse.com. It'll list every version of that mod and if it's a popular mod it's bound to have the version you are looking for.
Would you have it sort it by the latest updated version? That's seems like a feasible sorting method, but if you want to sort them just by version compatibility, that's when it gets tougher due to most mods supporting many different versions from before.
Like I said earlier, most mods try to stay up-to-date with Forge, and it seems the majority of users want it this way too, and as a result, Forge has continually kept up-to-date with Minecraft.(except recently with 1.7, as it changed so much they are really behind)

There is a mod (not sure what one) that uses the "o" button to open up more options when in the options menu. You can not change the key conflicts in game and have to use the config files to set them up. This is not an issue with a mod but a modpack. If you look up two post above the one you made I already talked about this issue.

Not a problem...though would you concider releasing a beta version? Most mod packs are moving over to 1.7.10 now and I would love to start my new world even if there are only a handful of biomes right now. They are saying that in 1-2 months forge will be ready for 1.8.

Also if they did use ideas from youtubers they would not pay them a dime just like they do not pay mod makers or minemap makers for making a basic game engine into a fun and playable game.

I think it would be fine if Mojang donated even 10,000 dollars to some of the main mod makers that have been around for some time...with all they made they can afford it give like 200,000 but nope. If not donate to them then they could at least put out the mod API that they promised years again even.

Really did I understand you right? I just open a texture pack delete the couple textures I do not like? But then how can I load One pack that i like the blocks and gui but deleted all the items and load a pack that I kept only the items?

But not for 1.6.4? I thought that 1.6.2 to 1.6.4 was a small change.
