Ok, i'm not good at pvp, so i can't give you critique in that niche.
I can only respond to the 2 vids i have seen.
If you want to reach more people, you have to make your content more entertaining.
Think about voice chat (ts, discord), talk with your enemys (even better: your friends!)
Think about the audience group you want to target and what behavior is apropriate to that group.
(this might have impact on youtube monetizing)
A good example in this case is Dream. He knows how to entertain people, how to thrill!
Yes, he is incredibly overhiped and i don't mean you should copy his content.
Stick to what you like!
Emotions and music play a big role in this.
I wouldn't recommand songs with speach, also it shouldn't be loud.
In games like Minecraft it's important, that the viewer can hear the actors as well as the gameplay sounds.
Like a ghast howling or other things that might approuch you.
Aside from music i highly recommand ambient mods with reverb hall for caves.
These mods are usually clientside and don't give you any advantage over other players.
Also i wouldn't use texturepacks too often. People have different taste but in the end most of them like minecraft vanilla.
It can also be confusing, hard to follow what items you are using.
As a kickstart you could stream live on twitch and invite peole to projects. (Maybe some viewers)
The material you get from that can just be what you need for youtube.
In the end it's all just my opinion. I'm not a youtuber or streamer, i can only tell you what i enjoy and what i do not.
