Barako is excellent, Mowzie! However, when I fought him, the laser that shout from his mouth did no damage to me.

I do have one suggestion for the Barakoan village though, Mowzie... could you add a Tribal Drum block that, when right-clicked, plays the Barako belly drum sound? I'd imagine it'd generate in the villages, and would be a nice aesthetic touch.

Been playing guild wars 2 recently and that's got a big ent that gets infected with parasites and drops them out when you hit them. Some infected mobs could be cool.

I think adding "infected" normally friendly mods would a be bit too much for Minecraft's simplistic attitude. Minecraft is simply a game about survival, where the natural forces of the world try to combat you.

When will this mod compatible with.........1.8.....

When Animation API is updated, which by the way it's not made by Mowzie and the person who made it has disappeared. Not good news for a 1.8 version.

Even more humorously, the API could easily be updated by Mowzie, but unfortunately he doesn't have permission and can't get it because thehippomaster is gone.

I wouldn't mind seeing a scorpion-like creature for the Mesa.

Although, Mesas are typically in American deserts, so maybe some sort of monster themed around Native American mythology?

Wow. Just fought a Barakoa hunting party.

They're completely amazing. Death animations are solid as heck, the fight is super intinuitive. Most mods would just make me feel like I'm fighting a stronger zombie, but yours makes me feel like I'm fighting actual, skilled warriors. The way that party leader circled me... amazing.

Your mod is truly the best mob mod. I can't wait for the villages + king.

They both do different things. You can't compare the two.

Tell me, do you think you could add some kind of feature that allows leaves to grow over them?

posted a message on The Sawmill - A new way to cut wood! (Crafting recipes) + (Custom Pics)

I recently had an idea for a new block while trying to think of ways to manipulate wood in Minecraft.

The block is named the sawmill, and looks like this.

(Credit goes to fic18 for this image! View his Art Gallery suggestion linked below, which is highly recommended and endorsed by me!)

The sawmill can receive redstone power from the bottom or any of the four sides. When powered, the blade on top would begin spinning, and a distinguishable whirring noise will come from it until it is cut off from the power source. While it's in it's powered state, mobs and players that stand on top of it would take 2 hitpoints of damage per second (twice that of a cactus), making it effective in a trap. Its primary use, however, is naturally the cutting of wood. When a log block of any type is present in the space above the sawmill (while it's in its powered state), the block would break after three seconds and six planks of the log's type would fall around the sawmill, thus making it an effective alternative to crafting logs into planks... assuming one is present. Nothing happens when other blocks are placed on top of it, except for wooden planks, which break into two wooden half-slabs, and sand/gravel, both of which break over the sawmill and drop as an item.

This is the crafting recipe for the Sawmill and Sawmill blade, the latter of which is required to craft the former. (The oak planks in both recipes can be any type) (The iron block in the Sawmill recipe represents the Sawmill blade) The intended use of this is to have one available in your home sometime mid-tier. If you were crafting logs at home, you would use this so that you might get more wood. However, if you were in the wilderness, or mining, the crafting grid is a much more convenient option. It could also be used to automate tree farms, I imagine, although I'm no expert on factorization in Minecraft.

So, it's a good tool for the average survival player, a useful block for the experienced tree farmer, and a brutal executioner for the resourceful trapper. I've spent a few hours thinking about this, and I've tried to make this as balanced and fitting as possible. Suggestions, criticism and friendly discussion is welcome and encouraged, and of course, thank you for reading.

Also check out fic18's Art Gallery idea, linked here. It's great and deserves much support! http://www.minecraftforum.net/forums/minecraft-discussion/suggestions/2226184-painting-stand-and-easel-50-supports-so-far
