    First off, this comment isn't constructive criticism and is pretty useless. Plus your statement of 'bland areas' and 'complaints about the late monument', while may be valid complaints, it doesn't define the map as 'bad'. If you want to play a bad CTM map, have a go at making your own, before making an account to shun people who try.


    Secondly, the map overall isn't bad. While the builds aren't refined and a lot of areas have boxy or redundant design choices, fundamentally, the map is pretty good. The monument being late is NOT a bad thing, as it adds an aspect to the map in making sure that not only are you getting out of the areas with the wools, but you are also transporting them safely between intersections. As a very first CTM map, I'm excited that they finished a 16-wool map complete with genuine challenge.

    In all seriousness, this is a really cool idea. I have a world that was my first ever world I ever had in Minecraft and it was in creative. It works in 1.14.4 and so have at it! I'll dm you a link.

    Actually, it has nothing to do with the map. If you somehow lose connection to the internet, you can still connect via LAN but you won't have access to your skin or your online profile. I believe what happened is you must've lost connection or simply connected with a different account. This isn't a map issue, it has something to do with your connection or your player profile.

    I'm so glad you're enjoying it! The challenges can be completed at anytime from any island. The island locations are just typically where you will find the materials more commonly. The only exception being the challenge to find the Wakan Artifact which is found in a hidden chest on the island listed in the challenges room.

    Starting to get back into the swing of things in the MC community and realized I missed CTM genre. Looking forward to your full maps and I will be playing your mini-CTM's as a series on my channel after Christmas holiday :) I also made a CTM a while ago but it's meh now that I look back on it.     It has been a while, but I FINALLY updated the map to 1.12. There were a lot of bugs with challenge submission and map completion that I tackled in this version. Here's the changelog:

    posted a message on 10 Days of Christmas Map - [CTM] - [MULTIPLAYER COMPATABLE] - [1.12.2] - [HUNDREDS of Command Blocks]

    I played through the entire map and will be uploading a video. There is a lot of potential for a really great and fun map here as the easy levels are well designed and function properly, however the medium and difficult levels were "hard" simply due to frustration, or hard because they have no real way to lead the player in the right direction or it doesn't explain the rules very well. The following spoilers list certain levels I had trouble with or I feel could improve in some way but overall I really did enjoy this map and I feel it has great potential. Update it with these fixes and I bet this would get a lot more attention. Also, there is no need to install the world to a server and run a Minecraft server jar. Dropping the file from inside the Package folder directly into my saves worked just fine. Also, I feel the starting room shouldn't have you press random buttons just to start the game. Make it clear which button to press.



    In snowy searching, this was a nice way to introduce how you would puzzle the player. However there was a slight issue where if the player steps down next to the block of diamond, they will be trapped. I had to break my way out. Other than that it was fun and interesting.



    In X,Y, and Z, in the final room I had no idea what x, y or z was due to the previous room having books that say Y and Z with "ap" and "er" in them respectively. I had no clue what the final answer was. Per inspection of the command block system, the correct answer was 1644, but I have no idea how I was supposed to reach that conclusion as no numbers were provided. There were just buttons. I also had no idea how I passed the second level as dropping in blank papers somehow built the ladder to reach the button and progress.



    In Present Hunt I truly enjoyed searching for presents and breaking them all, however some present locations were flawed or super odd in how the player reached them. Especially with the use of barrier blocks in the stairwell room. Plus, how was I even supposed to reach the present on the top shelf in the starting room? There were no barrier blocks to jump on and I can't reach it from the ground. There was nowhere to climb. I also couldn't find the 37th present for the life of me, to the point where I think it doesn't exist. I used creative and tore the building to the bare bones and found nothing. After inspecting the command blocks, my guess is either your min value of 37 was a typo or there was a bug with one of the repeater command blocks as all of the minecraft:air checkers were triggered when I had 36 presents. There were a lot of redstone blocks around the command blocks lighting the lamps of the rooms. Maybe there was a glitch where there was a BUD switch issue and it triggered two command blocks or something so maybe it's better to rearrange the command blocks away from the other redstone to prevent issues.



    In plastic land, the trades become available again so I farmed the villager with the cobweb trades I found. I never found the red glass or the terracotta and was able to pass the level. Plus at the end, there was something preventing me from hitting the button. I had to move to an awkward angle to reach the button and progress.



    The invisible maze... I'm sorry but that level can go F*** right off. The fence collision offers confusing movement in an invisible situation. Why not just use barrier blocks instead of covering the floor with carpet and using fence collision to prevent the player from walking on it? You can still have the same reveal mechanic by changing the floor colors to something that reveals the pathways without using fences and then replacing it with spruce or dark oak planks. But seriously, the maze was so bad I didn't even want to try and just skipped it completely. Needs rework.



    Finally, in the Escape Christmas level, I got to the point to where I got the concrete pickaxe and had no idea what I was supposed to do from there. There was no obvious indication of where I was meant to use that pickaxe. Plus, the pick can break the level barrier because it's made of concrete. Thus, the player can escape the level and break the wall and jump out and die using the pickaxe provided. Plus, the snow shovel doesn't work for the snow layers, just solid snow blocks. There were some instances where digging the snow then walking in the hole would softlock the map and the player wouldn't be able to escape. I didn't find this exciting at all. Perhaps the find tools to break or place something mechanic is overused at this point.


    Like I said, please don't take these personally as they are true flaws to this map that can be easily fixed. In my video that I will post later, I will prove all of these issues as they are exactly what I experienced. But I truly enjoyed the first part and I can't wait to see what else you do!


    Also, post more screenshots of the actual levels, not just the hub!

    posted a message on Save Christmas - Parkour Map [Multiplayer Compatible]

    Really enjoyed the map! Found difficulty with the gold mine parkour and had to get creative with how to beat the collapsing platform section, but I was able to beat every stage except for the last stage. Video is on my channel :3
