You could also consider an AMD lano it would get you a cpu upgrade and a GPU upgrade but you would need new ram. Obvously it would be better to get a better gpu then the one in the apu but your cpu will bottleneck any good gpu and if you dont have the money lano is the cheapest way to get a gamming computer

It can get 42 fps on high in Wow it should get more today with driver optimizations that have been released sense the review.

While it is a low fps but this si metro 2033 at a higher res with medium settings.
But in its price range it is a lot better then the phenom2 or intel i3

posted a message on I Have A Terrible computer and I would like to record game footage!!!!
Get a capturecard that is the most lagfree way to record.

but if you use DVI you won't get audio
you would have to run a different audio recording program at the same time to get sound.

Also what are your computer specs. That 150$ might be better spent on a upgrade to the computer rather then a capturecard.

Ipad2 are much more expensive from the sound of it you don't have the money for that.

    http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16834209002

Moto has always had good build quality in there phones.
Tho they are coming out with a new tablet but the xoom is still a very good tablet.

    http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16834214356

Very similar to the xoom tablet spec wise.

The Toshiba tablet is new and not reused. Also has twice the amount of storage.
The xoom is a bit thinner then thrive.
Both got the same resolution same cpu same gpu.
    Both of the same weight.

posted a message on What do you think of my $1269 new build
They are just backing out of the highend desktop segment. AMD lano is selling in massive amounts the highend desktop is a tiny market compared to the budget lano segment.

Also no company as shown wanting to bring ARM into the desktop segment. TI is the largest ARM manufacturer that i know of and they have shown no desire to move into desktop.

Plus ARM would probably get crushed by x86 the designs are much more mature. Plus I don't think any one has ever tried to get arm to scale to desktop cpu size.

OEM does not restrict you from reinstalling.

It does however mean if you switch motherboards you gotta call microsoft because OEM is tied to the motherboard. Then you gotta tell them your old one died and even then they might not let you use it on the new one.

Well just looked it up Todd Howard said that they do use dx11 But much in the same way World of Warcraft they don't use it heavily like crysis 2. Mostly just used for optimization and a few visual tweaks.

"Basically, it's mostly a DX9 game in terms of [how the] shaders work," Todd told AusGamers. "When it comes to DX11 there are things they give us for free in terms of performance gains, and that's really what I meant.

"So we get performance gains out of it, versus an older version, and there are specifics that DX11 does like tessellation and that kind of stuff; we aren't taking advantage of that right now. But that doesn't mean we won't in the future, we just aren't right now."
    Todd Howard
Clarifying earlier statement regarding usage of DX11.

Good point, however i would expect there would be a patch or something that would birth a 64 bit version, along with fully utilizing direct x 11. Its kind like what crysis 2 did. When it came out it didnt really use dx11 very much if at all, and than a few months after release they patched it to use DX11 quite heavily.

And as for the acusation of my rudeness, i apologize, it was meant more as a friendly taunt rather than a malicious insult. I was really just kidding around. Although i do find your complete lack of respect for my pimping ambitions to be somewhat anoying.

Crysis2 had a 64bit exe and already had dx11 support in it the settings were turned off. The download was a few shadder settings and highres textures.

You couldn't patch the game to 64bit you would need the source code and hope the code wont be screwed up if you decide to compile it to 64bit but I doubt Bethesda would ever release the full source code.

Skyrim uses dx11 currently i believe tessellation is even used on the faces.

lol you cant just make a blankey statement like that. It isnt impossible it all that it could use more than 4 gigs. infact its probably likely that it will use more eventually. Maybe it wont be for a long time or maybe it will be soon. Some of the largest ram realistate occupiers are textures. So it stands to reason that eventually if we get some really nice super hd texture mods that it could easily use more than 4 gigs.

It is a 32bit program it was compiled in 32bit it will never in the world use more then 4gig ever and that is using the LAA workaround and that is in a 64bit os it would be limited to 3gigs in a 32bit os.

User-mode virtual address space for each 32-bit process

2 GB with IMAGE_FILE_LARGE_ADDRESS_AWARE cleared (default)

    4 GB with IMAGE_FILE_LARGE_ADDRESS_AWARE set

    Straight from Microsoft.
There is not work around as far as i know even in linux a 32bit program on a x86 arch will never use more then 4 gigs of ram in a 64bit OS.

i am aware, however till the construction set is realeased before i mod my skyrim heavily.

Still does not matter no matter what skyrim will never use more then 4 gigs.
Using 16gigs is a 100% waste for gamming plus having that much ram can limit overclocking should you ever do that.

Skyrim is a 32bit program with LAA flag it still will limit at 4gigs. The normal exe maxes at 2gig.

The tablet has 256mb of ram and I cannot find any information regarding the processor used in it but if it has that amount of ram in it probably a low end cpu to go with it.

I doubt that low end of a tablet is ever going to run it.
You could load up a aosp rom and try to overclock it, may be your best bet
