I'm definitely interested to try out more 3d models - I just have to be careful about what I change so it doesn't make things already using those pieces look weird.

Supporting arches sound really cool though - I'll have a look at what I can come up with and see if they can still look decent when used in a normal roof too.

    Thanks for the feedback! :)

    Update 3.5 is up!

Full changelog is in the OP as per usual although now the OP looks a little different. Much neater looking imo. You might notice the lore section has been removed and the mods section now has no real contents. This will change soon. I plan on actually finishing up the lore for the pack and updating the addons+improving them to add a few more things.

    Enjoy! :D

EDIT: Might need to wait for curse to verify the download - planet minecraft page will be fixed up soon enough too!

Yup, nether is now like a big old BBQ! :)

For anyone who's curious btw, I'm currently just (finally) working on the OP so there will be pictures, new banners, new title and a new layout. Should hopefully look a lot nicer than the current mess! All textures for the next update are done though so it's just ready to go once I've taken some pics.

Welp, I've spent far longer fiddling around with the netherwart block than I'd planned but I've come up with something I'm happy with. It's very... Organ-y...

I tried a lot of variations with the current netherwart colour but I couldn't come up with something I was happy with so it's going to be returning to a more vanilla-esque fleshy colour. I'll hopefully have it all done and ready to upload just a little later tonight. :)

Another update: Got a bit busy the last few days but I've managed to finish all the textures except for the netherwort block. Going to have to do a little experimentation with it as it might be necessary to make a new netherwort texture too (or at least change the colours up a bit).

Pretty happy with the new blocks so far though, fit in well with the other blocks but still bring something new for builders and adventurers!

Got started on some new textures.

I'm currently going for a bright pixel art look, similar to Siikikala's Vividian and Steelfeathers' Pixel Daydreams; would you say that my colours are too desaturated?

Looks really nice! The cobble lacks a bit of the depth of the other textures there but it's still very nice. Good colour choices too.

Damn, those birch leaves look fantastic! Really love the leaf style you've gone for there.

All the other new stuff looks really good too, particularly liking the new bricks shading. Got plenty of depth and variation but still look like they tile well. Nice work, mc!

Excited to see what you'll do with the new polar bears, Sheep! I bet they'll be adorable :D

    Thanks guys!

And possibly, not sure adorable polar bears is what I should be aiming for considering how scary they can actually be though! ;)

    Would make forests more interesting!

Just wondering, does pc version have the fallen over logs with mushrooms on them in the forests now? I know we have parity with a lot of the pocket edition features now but I'm not sure about this one yet.

Also @prophecy_wrecker, looks really good. Absolutely what you did with the different glass so far. Can make so many mechanical type structures with that!

Okay, here are some metal textures and some palettes. I'll add in some other palettes a bit later but it's 2am now so this will have to do for the time being.

3x zoom for those who are curious:

    Cheers MCza!

Starting to get quite a nice collection of paintings now. Only the really big ones left to convert into proper pixel art. :)

Yea, 1.10 didn't add too much but it had some cool stuff for map makers and more mob variation is always welcome as far as I'm concerned!

Haven't seen any of the fossil things that were added so I can't really make any judgment on them yet. I'll need to find one to check my textures for the bone in-game though.

Also I enjoy beer and video games too much to show off by going to the gym! :P

Anyways, here are the new pictures I added for the upcoming update as well. Just working on the last few things now.

Sorry, I'll post the actual files in just an hour or so (with all 10 textures and palette), just had a lot to do the last couple of days so I haven't had time to finish them off!

Just got back from the gym and have the evening off to work on a couple of 1.10 things and the last two metal blocks though so it shouldn't be too much longer.

Also I've decided what to do about the 1.10 update situation. I'm gonna finish the blocks for 1.10 and then do the 3 mobs in the next update so you can all get playing with the new version asap rather than waiting longer for me to finish the mobs as well. :)

You're so talented and friendly. I don't use mods but great textures ^

About the update, how much time will it takes for a complete 1.10?

I can wait. Anyway I'm sure it will be pretty quickly and well done. :)

Well the blocks will not take very long to do, I'll be able to have them done by tomorrow. The polar bear, husk and the other mob I've forgotten will take a little bit more time but can still be done in a few days after that as I won't be too busy this week.

Alright everyone, the wither is done, as is everything else I wanted to do for the update apart from just a couple of touch ups. What I'm wondering now is if you would like an update now with those few new things or if I should hold off the update and get the 1.10 stuff done?

Just let me know whichever you would prefer. I'm thinking of just doing a quick update for 1.9 so you have something new to checkout while waiting for me to get onto the 1.10 stuff!

Also for you two that were wanting some metal textures, I've only got a couple more to do I think. Not sure how I feel about them but they're just there as something for you to rearrange and turn into other blocks I suppose and it's a lot better than nothing!

Let me know if there's a specific type of block you'd want me to make like an engine or computer block or something and I'll quickly chuck one or two of those in as well. It's a lot easier to design specific blocks than just a wide range of general blocks imo.

I'll finish off those two on the right and then also include palettes for different types of metals so that they're easy to recolour with colours that you know work well with my pack, you can keep all the same types of metal using the same colours between different mods and it gives you something to draw from in the future if you need to. :)
