I think you misunderstood. I don't think you should be able to switch at all. Puts things in a different perspective when you know you can't switch. Survival becomes about survival instead of whenever you get in danger, just switch modes and fly away.
Don't forget those people that ay they build something in survival and in reality they built it in creative.
If i recall right theres a text telling you to wait some hours until it gets updated (incase you are uploading an own skin the first time.)
EDIT : It says 1.7.8 downwarts but it might still take a while
I play 1.7.10 for now, 1.8 lags a lot and waiting to see if OptiFine comes out anyway, is this a 1.7.10 skin?
Alright, So I made a skin and it shows in single player, but in an LAN game with my brother and on the only server I play on (a 1.7.9 server), they see the default 'Steve' skin.
I think I did everything right, uploaded directly to minecraft.net and chose the "Uses Steve model" but nothing works.
Also the site below shows that I never changed my skin and states "XKJGX91 must use default skin"?
The Xbox version is too far behind and lacks soo much that I will always say PC. The biggest problems I would say with the Xbox version are No mods , limited worlds and paying for skins and texture packs.
if it is showing ingame and you can play it, you have bought it. thats for sure. maybe the servers of these websites are not up to date? ill have to check that.
wait a moment.
Edit:
Well...my skin isn't found too. and considering that i bought it 3 years ago, it maybe that you have to upload your skin to that website to get the skin to show in their databanks.
try that.

My brother (JGARD93) and I (XKJGX91) just got minecraft 2 days ago. We both made our own skins and uploaded them to minecraft.net. I wanted to use the animated avatar viewer at mcskinsearch.com but it keeps saying User Not Found. I also tried Novaskin and Skindex but nothing. It's like I haven't bought it...
Just like Owen just said, why not to try the demo? its the same game with limited content, but has just enough to show what the game is like.
That's just it, it's limited so you can't really see if the game can run on your computer (if that's why some get cracked, like I did and I went out the next day to pay for a real game)
Doubt that would happen, Minecraft is already out on PlayStation and even though PS is Microsoft's competitor they would still receive revenue from Minecraft PS edition sales.
Plus, From IGN.coms article about the deal,
As had been reported, the PC, Mac, Xbox 360, Xbox One, PS3, PS4, Vita, iOS, and Android editions will continue to be supported and developed as they currently are, despite the deal.
So, hypothetically, if Microsoft decided to charge Sony inordinate amounts of money in exchange for regular updates of Minecraft on PlayStation systems, what would happen if Sony turned them down? What if Sony decides that it's just not worth it to keep Minecraft on their systems when they now have to send giant checks to their biggest competitor?
Once special effects are moved off the bow and onto the individual arrows, even in 1 case... then people are going to push for more... arrows of slowness... arrows of weakness... arrows of sharpness... flaming arrows... arrows of invisibility... etc etc.
And then, combinations, poison + weakness + slowness, flaming + sharpness, etc.
Now I can fill every available slot in my inventory with different arrow types and not have any room for anything else at all...and the quiver isn't doing anything for me EXCEPT to make it so my bow stops working when I run out of one type of arrow.
Granted, that's a bit of an exaggeration... but I do it to illustrate a point.
I generally just don't like different abilities (like enchantments and potion effects) granted to ammo that is largely consumed upon firing.
But the point is not other types of arrows, but poison tipped arrows, and I like the quiver idea!

This is the skin I'm using, or trying to use. If someone could look it over and see if it looks okay? Same one as my signature and avatar.
