*finally sees what you mean* Dude, just because your not use to details doesn't mean everyone else isn't also. A story is a story and if you don't like it, don't comment.
I never said I don't like the story.
I said I couldn't read the story. Space your paragraphs out, and it will look more appealing. Add some simple colours that are easy on the eyes, and it will be even more appealing. But just writing a wall of text is extremely unappealing and people won't want to read it, nor comment on it.

Honestly, an amazing idea. I am a coder, and i know that you can change a block to allow/disallow a current with 'right clicking it'. I do not know how to use items though because I am a small modder. But just a start
EVery tick, just check if the block has the items required inside it.
If it does, delete the items, change a variable. (So people can't somehow hack their items back.)
If it does, check if it's recieving redstone signal.
If it is, send redstone signal.
The difficult part would be making the item to actually take the 3 items, of different amounts. Not that it would be difficult.. I would make it myself, but I really am not a good modder. I'd rather just go and make a game from scratch. Minecraft code is confuzzling.

I'm VERY POWERFUL XD , modders aren't 'powerful' they are just human like you and me; they just have lots of experience with java . Also cna you give a wee lil hint into what category this 'celestial' mod goes?
How did risugami respond?
Also I find it very disrepectful to other suggestors and quite show-offy of you to tag this thread 'best request' there have been MANY great requests over the years, no matter how epic yours is it is mean to say yours is better then all others.
I didn't even notice he claimed it was a best request.
Gosh, you gotta love when people feel their opinion is the right one, without regard to anybody else. I want to know what this mod is now. With any luck, it'll end up being some weird mod that only he likes.

With Enough time I could re-write this so it doesn't feel so short and spur of the moment.
That's like telling J.K Rowling.
"Hey, you screwed up. I'm better than you, so I can redo it for you!"
Apr 19, 2012HEY! HEY!Posted in: Literature
IT'S ROMANTIC, ISN'T IT?
Don't worry, I won't play out the romance sub-plot too much. But it will be the main sub-plot. Bet you didn't see that coming! Ohhhhh, suprise!
Thanks for reading it guys, stay tuned for Chapter 5 comin to you soon! As well as a neat little adventure map that is hand created by the map generation system. After all, it is a story based on a guy stuck in Minecraft, it's gotta be made by the same system.. Lots of secrets, and additions, and a lot of the natural scenery is actually man-made.

You have absolutely no idea what your talking about, adding this stuff to Minecraft would NOT make it an "adventure RPG," and completely change the game they are just additions to the game. What is wrong with new ideas, anyway? Nothing, your just a being a ***** who thinks whoever doesn't agree with you is an idiot. That just comes to show how naive you are. I'm glad you can agree with me on some things, but calling me an idiot, just because I don't agree with you is just uncalled for and stupid.
It would make it an adventure RPG. If you can't realize that, you seriously need to understand game genres more. Right now, this is a sandbox RPG. Meaning you can play through however you wish to, but in the end there is no proper way to play. There is no true end to the game, nor is there a true beginning. It will keep repeating itself over, and over again for as long as Minecraft lives on in our hard drives. What you are doing is asking for there to be a peak, a point to which we can not surpass. If you really wish that to happen, work on the mods yourself. That is an adventure RPG. One where you the object of the game is to either stay in one place, and build up your own life, such as in real life. Or follow a strict day to day movement, where you go between cities. It would turn it into an adventure RPG, rather than the sandbox RPG it is now.
Single player commands would mean total control over the game, It's pointless to have to download it when almost EVERYONE has that mod on their Minecraft game. I mean, are you serious? SPC is one of the most used mods in Minecraft. If you want less control in your game than your very different from other people.
There are 25 million registered users. How many people use SPC? Point for me.
World edit would be for creative mode only, why the HELL would you want to place hundreds of THOUSANDS of blocks SINGLE HANDED, when you could have them placed in 2 seconds with world edit, especially if you have to repeat the same thing OVER AND OVER AND OVER AND OVER. If you actually want to do that, your just insane, and have no life. I like to build on Minecraft as a hobby when I'm not HAVING A LIFE. It's a fun way to express creativity, not spend 2 years on ONE Megabuild with vanilla Minecraft.
MCedit, Worldedit, install the mod. I don't want world edit, and many other people don't as well. I personally despise world edit just for the fact that it is turning Minecraft into a pixel-art program.
I posted this because I'm tired of their being AMAZING mods and not being able to get all of them because:
1. My computer won't let me mod (I have tried for 2 months and still am when I get new ideas)
2. I can't add half of the mods I actually want on my game.
3. I want new things added to Minecraft.
1. Your computer does let you mod, you just can't.
2. Yes, you can add half the mods you actually want on your game.
3. That's great. We all do, but you don't see all of us demanding our own personal opinions are put into the game. I respect your opinion, but that's just it. This is your opinion. All of these are great mod ideas, yes. But most of them do not belong in vanilla minecraft. A few of these desperately do need to be in Minecraft, but not all of them. Just as you are looking at me saying it's just one guy with his own opinion, many look to you with the same perspective. It's not a one-way road. It isn't all about you, and what you want. Make a more mature topic, and say something along the lines of "Udates you'd like to see in Minecraft?" and you'd get a far more mature discussion, as well as people actually contributing. But just blatantly saying "I am god. This is what must happen." Makes people angry.
You say amulets and rings would make it an RPG? Do you even know what an RPG IS!? This game is turning into one slowly whether you like it or not! What the hell do you think EXPERIENCE is? What do you you think ENCHANTMENTS are?? Jewelry would add style, interest, and more things to collect, or even enchant, THAT'S IT, it wouldn't "transform the game", it wouldn't make it an "adventure game," it wouldn't change it at all! It just adds something to the game. Why the hell do you think their adding things to the game?? How about just NEW IDEA's that are simply NEW IDEA's, not game transforming revolutions. Same with Gems.
No, I didn't say amulets and rings would make it an RPG. I said they would make it an ADVENTURE-RPG. Two different genres entirely. RPG is a general genre, Adventure-RPG is a specific genre. Minecraft already is an RPG, as I said before. But it is not the RPG that you think. I can see your perspective, as somebody who hasn't genuinely designed a game before. It's tough, and at first you just want to add everything you can into the game. But it isn't that simple, it's an extremely tough thing to do. If you add too much, it will be unbalanced. Don't add enough, and people won't like it. And absolutely nobody likes an unbalanced game. well, we all do. But it's not an enjoyable game with replay value. Before coming and trying to improve on one game, write up a game design document and get it professionally reviewed. I doubt they would even read past the first 15-20 pages of it before deciding whether they liked your idea or not. (Keep in mind, proper game design documents have approximately 100-200 pages.)
Game design, which is essentially what you are doing here, is not just "This is cool. This should be added." It's "This is awesome, but would it fit? Yes, it would, but would it unbalance other features? Can I balance those features properly? How would I do it? Would it make more people happy than angry? Could I even change previous features to balance new ones without drastically changing the game?" and then a series of questions pertaining to even more questions you ask yourself.
And the single most important thing about game design, is the genre. And not just "RPG/Boardgame/Racing" 99% of games have TWO genres combined together. So "RPG-Racing/Boardgame-Racing/Sandbox-Boardgame/Sandbox-Racing" Many are unsuccesful from the start, but very, very few games have one single genre.
With minerals, (you might have missed them because I change the most every once and a while) I was actually talking about metals, if that's what you meant. If this is a sandbox game and there should be more minerals and metals like you said, why can't their be other new additions also?
I meant items like copper, tin, things like that. And I believe so because they fit the vanilla Minecraft. They're just more ores, that are common in the world. Other things are not so common. Copper, Tin, and those things would just be more tools, building blocks, and other assorted things. They're definitely needed just because the game is very black and white without them. More ores = more random oregeneration = more suprises while mining. Adding onto existing features properly, such as ores, creatures, etc, that's fine. It keeps the feel of Minecraft. Adding new features that have absolutely nothing to do with anything in Minecraft, obviously does not.
Banners would purely be a fancy little addition to the game for building. What is the point of it being outside the game? Seriously, THERE IS NOTHING WRONG WITH THAT. It wouldn't even effect the gameplay! If you have to download the mod you have other problems with compatibility with other mods and version issues.
Waste of space, many people would complain, what are there use for really? I don't care either way. I'd just see it as another item in the game that I'll rarely use. It could be in, or not. But it's not "desperately" needed.
More stairs would just be for architecture, like turning and flipping stairs, different fences would be nice too (not very many but a few).
Stairs, no. But more decorative items, yes. Carpets, would be awesome. Redpower 2 slabs would be absolutely fantastic.
With traders and currency I can partially agree with you. But, it's not completely necessary, It's just an idea for now until I can develop the idea more, but it would be a lot like the Millionaire Mod probably. It wouldn't really take away the rarity, because it would use new items, make you feel wealthy, and NPC's would make it feel less lonely. Lol.
NPCs that you can actually talk to, hell yes. It would feel less lonely, but trading would put an imbalance in the game. Minecraft wasn't developed to trade items, and it shouldn't be implemented for such reason.
Villages are almost enough, but cities would be a nice inspiration, and they would be just be fun to look through.
Cities, no. Those would be industrial. Villages, and bigger villages. Minecraft isn't technologically advanced, so cities can't exist.
Mo' Creatures mod is just a spotlight because it has a great perspective on a better Minecraft ecosystem. It could even have more food or animal products. (just an idea)
I entirely agree with you.
More weapons would be awesome for multiple reasons which I already explained in the topic.
No. Although, I hear dual-wielding is being worked on anyways.. Ugh, more space being taken up on my screen, with very little benefits. -.-
Your opinion on player abilities: Umm, WTF?
I shouldn't even have to comment, but I suppose I will.
Minecraft has never had anything to do with magic. Nor should it ever. That would ENTIRELY ruin Minecraft. Millions of people would leave.
Red power 2: YES.
Yes, Red Power is an epic mod. Yes, parts of it should be included. But Red Power 2 has bad parts. Redstone on walls is a go. Slabs are a go. Machines, are not.
More complex AI: They say they are but obviously they aren't doing a very good job because I don't see any differences with the older mobs. The Iron golem is the only thing I can see that has true AI.
So why comment on it? You already admit they're doing something about it.
Would you like if you were working on something, and as you were working on it somebody walked up and told you to do it better, cuz you sucked at it? No, you'd probably be pissed off and unmotivated to work on it anymore.
I'm through discussing this topic with you. I have no intentions of menial chatter with you.

Bad way to go about it.
You realize a mod can add a new item to the game, right? Why not just make a box, or something else.. Instead of just modifying a chest.
Apr 18, 2012Two broken items = one item with combined durability. Works with vanilla minecraft items.Posted in: Requests / Ideas For Mods
However; yes, there are mods that allow you to repair broken items. But how can they repair items from mods, when it's an entirely different mod? It's possible, but nobody will put that much time into it.

Apr 18, 2012I've decided what I'm going to do. Heading out to meet a friend right now, but when I come back.. I'm going to answer the insufferable question of "What the hell does Dawn have in mind?!"Posted in: Literature
Chapter 4 will be completed tonight, it was a difficult decision but I have thought long and hard about this. And I hope I can make it work well. Check back tonight for chapter 4! I'll probably be home within about 7-8 hours, and spend another 2-3 working on chapter 4 after that.
