They are still in the game, sheep just gave enderman a completely new texture and changed up their lore. The items are called ender cores or something along those lines.
Heya, Sheep. Maybe you've seen this before, but It's pretty nifty. It lets you change the texture of things like pressure plates and fences that pull textures from other blocks. I know you are still working hard to finish the normal resources, but it might be cool to take a look at.
I would love if you could make this character I drew into skin for me -
and if it's not too much trouble could you try using the new skin format?
Anything that looks like it should be on top of the rest: ie, the jacket and scarf, would be on the top layer. The top layer is labeled with a 2 if you are not familiar with the new format.
That new stone looks excellent to me and I love the kind of layering effect it has. I agree with MasterfulGamer, it's more than good enough to release now and then play around with it at your leisure for the next update, as ideas present themselves.I also agree, stone is such a make or break texture and I know we have stone bricks now, and in 1.8 will have the new stone variety, but I wish we had two versions of basic stone. One that you get in nature, and the refined one you get back from cobble. With a second one we could decide to have it as all sorts of useful materials from concrete to a smoother kind of natural stone that would also help naturalise the landscape. I guess it's asking too much, now we have 3 new stone types. However, there's no getting away from normal stone...it's absolutely everywhere, like sand and dirt...now why haven't we got 3 varieties of sand and dirt? Haha, it's a vicious circle lol!
But we do, sand/red sand and technically dirt/podzol/mycellium, though they are biome specific.
Hey sheep, I know you are busy with just getting the regular textures done, but I was reading around the MCPatcher thread and found this: https://bitbucket.or...m_Item_Textures
It would be really cool if you could have the item textures for swords and other tools change depending on what enchantments they have, and have them look broken when they had low durability. Perhaps even a few easter eggs when they have certain anvil'd names. Of course, this would be something to be done later, but I thought I would mention it since I had no idea this was even possible. Sounds like a neat idea to me.
Look forward to seeing/hearing more of it, you've definitely piqued my interest. If you don't mind me asking - what genre are you aiming for with this game?
It is going to be a 2D platformer. I have the smallest bit of plot development in this self-quote here.
My brother said that the song sounded a little medieval, but I don't want it to be some generic rpg style game with castles and warriors. However, I do want a somewhat traditional costume, maybe something with poofy sleeves. The plaid might work too. I will be doing this myself, but any final ideas would be nice. I am also terrible at making the shape of the body so I might need a little help with that.
Maybe he harms enemies by playing badly in the beginning, but he finds a magician that gives him a magic guitar (plot development!) that does damage when he plays well, so he adventures to become a better musician in order to master the magic guitar.
I don't want to change the topic of this thread though so I'll keep everything else about my game out of here.
On topic, I am looking forward to the new update. Maybe its just the picture but there is something that seems off about the new bricks, its probably nothing though. Keep up the good work!

The colors are pretty minimal so you can just grab them off the image.
I would also prefer to use the new Alex model.

Think of this as a free bump for all of your hard work. If anything else comes up with it, I can just PM you.

With the new layers you might be able to cook up something really interesting.
(Everything labeled 2 is the top layer)
