    Minecraft should in my opinion have a little bit of everything. Whats wrong with having technology in minecraft? I like minecraft should have everything, machines, magic, potions, guns, RPG style bosses, RPG style dungeons, RTS style pet and mount control, time travel, portals, aliens, spaceships, demons, ghosts, angels, gods, mobs, gardening, shopping, battling, wiring EVERYTHING.     More mobs: Tigers, Snakes, Lions, Bears, Turtles, Lizards, Birds of MANY colors, Vampire Bats, Rams, Deers, Giants, Dwarfs, Horrific Demonic Mobs 100x more scary then endermen, Skeleton Mages, Skeleton Warriors, Wither Skeleton Mages, Wither Skeleton Archers And many more.

    Dogs: You could get many types of dogs from poodles to hound dogs to siberian huskies. You would have a chance of getting them when breeding wolves. Some would have more health then others and some would do more damage and some would be faster and some slower .

    A Better Cat System: Add lions, tigers ETC. and have a chance of getting various breeds of cat when breeding them together.

    Machines: Industrialcraft mod style machines with some differences to fit in minecraft better.

    More Types Of TNT: Fire TNT, Nukes, Charged TNT, Dirty Bombs ETC.

    Flying Pets That You Can Ride: Dragons, Gryphons, Giant Dragonflies, Ghasts ETC.

    Magic: Staffs, Wands, Spells, Buffs ETC.

    Changed Potion System: Allow potions to be renamed and dyed in an anvil thus hiding its effects (Be fun on servers to make a poison potion look like a speed potion ETC.). Allow Multiple Effects to be put on a single potions. Allow more levels of potions, Like for instance speed 5. Allow potions to stack to 64 and splash potion not to stack because it could be OP.

    More Potions: Nausea, Water Walking, Water Breathing, Jump Boost, Aqua Affinity, Haste, Blindness, ETC.

    More Enchantments

    Well Optimized Cubic Chunk Format that would thus allow for a sky limit at about Y: 11, 000 and an underground generation limit of about Y:-1000 (Though As you went deeper everything would just be lava) (In order for caves to still generate it might be a good idea too make diamond ore a little less common as caves at diamond level would be much easier to find and be much larger. If you got about say Y: 7500 then you would be in space and you're breath bar would deplete as if underwater. Respiration enchantment can slow this down.


    A Pet Bed That Pets Can Respawn at. (Not working in hardcore mode of course)

    Don't you get bored when you have everything in seconds? When I made my first Matter Fab, I instantly went GT. I don't like the game to be easy, but challenging and fun.

    No. I just wanna get to endgame so I can get back to doing super mega-builds.

    For me challenge and fun conflict with each other. They are opposite.

    I just love how asheral or whatever his name is stopped responding to me. Looks like I won. Shame I didn't change him though. Because of the next post he made it looks like he just couldn't stand to have his view changed so he instead just flicked the argument away and continued his rampage of horse-bashing and being OCD.

    Also THANKS finally nerfing Soul Shards. I would like to know if there are going to be ''Upgrades'' to the mana ball as of how fast it can refill itself, or how big it can be. Or maybe a higher tier of Soul Shards like killing 5000 enemies to get a High tier mana ball.
    Oh well, ANYWAYS, thanks for the update and keep doing a good job man :)

    Why do you want it nerfed? Why do you WANT the game to be harder. I like my cool super mega fast mob spawners. Please dont break them :(

    But some people WANT an "abusively fast" mob spawner that they dont have to keep replacing and maintaining. Sure it should be expensive but it shouldn't be impossible. I WANT a very fast crazy mob spawner that doesn't have to be tended too or whatever constantly. Expensive is fine. Impossible isnt. Make the recipe require a freaking stack of diamond blocks for all I care just make it POSSIBLE.

The more powerful a sphere the longer a cage will be able to run before it's mana sphere is empty. If a mana sphere runs out of mana in a cage it(the mana sphere) will be destroyed. This means you'll want to set your spawn rate only just fast enough that the mana sphere is able to recharge to keep up, or set up a system to remove/replace them.

    Various features will likely cost additional per spawn mana such as being able to power the cage with a redstone signal, the mobs spawning even if the player isn't close, and POSSIBLY mob equipment.

    What all of this means:
    You get to choose how quickly your mobs spawn!
    Vile swords won't be necessary any longer.
    No more farming certain mobs for HOURS for ONE spawner that gives nothing but bonemeal.
    More customization!
    Easier for me to update. (I hope)

    But it is possible to get a spawner that runs as fast as a tier 5 spawner now that DOESENT have to be constantly fueled right?! Just as long as you have a powerful enough mana sphere to keep it running?

    There are exceptions, as almost-always. Minecarts with TNT have a pretty cool bug where they're stronger than intended, for example. Minecarts have a place in some redstone devices. However, on the basis of logic, and by the logic of min-maxing, their purpose as transportation has come to an end.

    I realize that I risk sounding like something with green blood and pointy ears, but math will always win. Yes, in a game, everything has to be balanced - at least, ideally. Something can not be balanced if something is better than another thing at a lower cost, less effort, and more freedom. Balance is not present when an old thing is useless - the fact that it's neat that it is there is meaningless.

    For example, how many people use pigs, legitimately, as their primary form of travel?

    Minecarts are now pigs.

    But seriously games are for entertainment. LOGIC would dictate that if minecarts entertain you more you should use them. Which is why not everything in a game has to be balanced.

    For instance, It would be more efficient for me to do one thing in minecraft. But since a game is for entertainment I MAY do another because it entertains me more. Logic is good. Logic can be everything. Math is good but it isn't everything. (Despite how some "robots "tend to say its the language of the universe) It fails at the human element and a certain degree of logic and common freaking sense. Perfect optimization is good for technology but not for entertainment and is an attitude that should NEVER be supported by ANYONE.

    Playing games to be 100% optimal and not actually have fun (AKA Entertainment) IS an OCD mental problem. That would be to play minecraft by building a dirt hut and nothing else. Because how is this "pretty" efficient right?

    The Point Of Life Is To Enjoy It And Thus Be Happy. Happiness=Fun=Entertainment which is why hard-cold math rightfully gets left out in the cold when it comes to playing video games.

    An "efficiency-obsessed luxury survivalist" having OCD mental problems is not my or the games fault. Minecarts are still automated. I will still use them from time to time. I would still rather minecraft have a good portal system. Of course at an expense. Maybe use gold blocks as the frame and use diamonds in a "portal key" recipe. Not everything HAS to be balanced. There can be a better way of doing something. Even if the old way is useless its still neat that it is there.

    Sorry, I REALLY hate Min-Maxer's. That sort of behavior should NEVER be supported in ANY way by ANY game,movie,sport, or anything else EVER! That suck's the humanity right out of society and turns people into freaking programmed robots.

    The only problem I have with updates are the anvil getting harder to repair the more you repair an item. That's so silly. But seriously everyone on the forum only sees the negative in things. That was my examples. I would love creeper spawners. But we cant have them because people whine about OP gunpowder farms. I don't like using minecarts as it is. Too boring. I think horses are more fun. There is nothing wrong with giving people a choice between what they want to use. Not everything they add has to be something new. It could just be an expansion on what already exists.

    Dont nerf the soul shards or the spawners themselves! I dont want my mob farms to break ):! Just make it a little harder to obtain if you absolutely have to.

It let you travel vast distances quickly without the loss of hunger from sprinting, whilst also providing a fun an unique means a land transportation. On the flip side, with an awkward control means (that often didn't work) pigs enlightened the fact that players needed to work hard to achieve luxury transport. Pigs represented the fact that mine-craft was not going to conform to the typical game conventions (such as mounts).

    Pigs were never meant to be a replacement for walking, the were simply there for fun and for those who could invest the time to make effective use of them. Horses however do replace walking...

    ...It really does saddens me to think pigs (and all they stood for) are now nothing...

    The ethos of the game has begun its downward spiral... for a game about mining, crafting and building... there sure isn't a lot of it...

    You may have different opinions about this (and you are most entitled to them), fair enough... For certain I don't want to see horses removed

    ...but the game-obsoleting integration...

    This is what is wrong with the minecraft fanbase. GOD FORBID the game diverge a little bit from what it originally was. GOD FORBID players relax and enjoy the game instead of it being OMG hard and frustrating.

    The issue about horses has a simple solution ¿Why not make horses being scared from caves/depthness also the nether? Its realistic and adds some balancing.

    PD: I like variety, but DISLIKE this being converted to "World of Minecraft" and seeing all people annoying arround with mounts and PETS.

    Is the soul shards mod ready for 1.5.1 yet? Please. I LOVE this mod. I know some find it imbalanced but I like it. I dont wanna lose my tier 5 creeper spawner trap when I update to 1.5.1 etc.

    On topic, I use a modpack that isnt updated to 1.5.1 yet so I have actually built anything with it just yet.

    I have four towers, with one for each element (Fire, Earth, Water, And Air). I first made the air tower out of wool, glass and redstone lamps but it looked like crap so I destroyed it and will rebuild it with quartz when I get 1.5.1
