if you want mods, i'd just buy the pc version, or, wait for the new Ouya console to be released, and mod minecraft as you please on it.
im actually a hell of a lot more excited to try out minecraft on that console than i was for the xbox.
(also, please god dont try start a flame war because i mentioned another console)

Well it works for me on both PC and Xbox. Just make sure your house is well lit and try again.
If that doesn't work, try the bed in the middle of the house or something until the next patch.
May 9, 2012They wouldn't be able to handle infinite worlds, but they would be able to handle quite big worlds.Posted in: MCX360: Discussion
I'd just give the devs a little more time, now that they don't have to try and rush anything, I'm sure they will be able to make them much larger than they currently are.

4J has gone too far...Cutting the map size by 1/10th I could deal with but why on earth did they have to do this?!!!!
Christ, I thought this game would be somewhat descent, I was even planning on buying this for my friend too but now there is really no incentive to do so.
Minecraft is a game all about creating massive structures that take hrs upon hrs of accumulating resources and placing blocks. So now that town that you and your friends spent a day building will be all for nothing if the host quits the game. Tell me 4J, what happens to the town we built when the host takes a vacation or runs out of xbox live gold for god knows how long, what then?
I was expecting at least some sort of save feature to allow anyone in game to save the map, but alas, we are presented a game about making worlds that does not even implement a feature where worlds can be shared, even halo 3 got this right....
Minecraft isn't a game where you jump on and build a new town every other day, it is a game about building in the long run and seeing your creations out to fruition after long periods of time.
They confirmed that you could save the world you are playing on, idiot.
Stop jumping to conclusions.
