Me, and I'm sure many others are glad you aren't using Ex Dragonith's models, the guy is decent, but so many prehistoric mods have been presented with models 10x better. So many people tend to just use his, I guess it's just because some people are lazy...
Give the guy a rest, If you want it so bad why don't you learn to mod, just have patience, this is Lycanite's hobby, not his job, and have respect for people's work, don't try to rush it.
When you start working on the eel-like creatures, you should take inspiration from the Piranhadon from Peter Jackson's King Kong, it seems perfect for that sort of mob, it looks like this.
Nice one! I like it!I've got boss mob suggestions too!Doomclaw: A big scorpion that lives in the desert. His main attack is picking you up with his claw and pinching you. Another ability is that he could sting you, giving you slowness, blindness, and poison for about 6 seconds, and if you hit him, there is a 25% chance where a baby scorpion climbs off his back and attacks you. He looks like a large, black scorpion with red eyes, and his stinger is stained with blood.Rex: A large, bipedal, feathery monster that lives in the jungle. He is absolutely aggressive, and upon sight, he will charge blindly, knocking down trees on his way. His bite is absolutely strong, and could instantly kill you if you're unprepared. However, he could trample you when he is running, and his roar could rile up nearby hostile jungle mobs. He looks like a large theropod dinosaur, except brown feathers run down his body, and he has a grey head with demon red eyes.Crypt King: The leader of the Crypt Zombies. His main ability is to run at you and whack you with his scepter, and he is able to shoot either a throwing scythe or a mud ball from his scepter, depending on what he is using. He is also able to call nearby Crypt Zombies to him. He looks similar to a Crypt Zombie, apart from the fact that he has a red symbol on his chest and that he is slightly bigger.Deathjaw (credits to WoodsyOwl): A large leviathan that lives in the ocean. He is undoubtedly aggressive, and will pursue people who enter his territory, crashing their boats and eating them. He usually dives down to the depths and attacks from below, instantly killing you if you are unprepared. He is also able to jump out of and back in the ocean and perform a pin attack on you. He looks like a large mosasaur with deep blue skin, a shark-like tail, and demon red eyes.Sounds good?
And they would be called Threshers found in large lakes and sometimes rivers!
Right! You should do any marine reptiles of a larger scale for oceans and large rivers! They are the perfect thing to add to the aquatic mobs! They could be tameable with A LOT of raw fish, and they could destroy boats, and (If possible) they could hold you in there jaws! You should look to any Mosasaur, or Liopleurodon for reference! Here are some pictures if you are interested in creating larger marine reptiles. Mosasaur art from "Dino Crisis": Liopluerodon: Another, very large Mosasaur known as "Tylosaurus":
More than sharks? Hmm, perhaps deep-sea anglerfish that want to take a bite out of your meat, as well as big crabs that fight back and/or scavenge you? Perhaps a plesiosaur-like monster that, like the sharks, also makes things worse for you when you go boating?
Exactly....but take all of those, and add a 20...ish feet long marine reptile....then......then you have fear in your oceans.
So, you don't think getting devoured by a huge shark is so bad.
Well, sure, I like dinosaurs and all that stuff, but this mod isn't all about dinosaurs and all that stuff.
I said it would just be nice to have something similar, and It doesn't HAVE to be all about dinosaurs, but it's nice to have a touch of prehistoric in any monster mod, it was just an idea to spice up the freshwater biome, we are going to need more than sharks.
Yep it will be interesting to have Dragons flying around, they will be fairly rare, especially the big ones, perhaps they will have to be summoned somehow or spawned in a Dragon Den. I'll probably have to make a smoother flying AI for them so that they swoop about rather than float around.
Also to be technical, Velociraptors are from the Cretaceous Era which came after the Jurassic Era
You should make something like a marine reptile! Look at a Tylosaurus or Liopleurodon for reference, It would bring much fear to the open ocean.
Starting from one line again and only keeping all sounds, models and texutres! Just ask AtomicStryker how much pasta was in the mod! This will be like 2010 all over again!
