I absolutely love the look of the new caves with the last snapshot and I really can't wait to get in there and start building some nice cave dwellings and dwarf halls. I scrolled through the whole thread and a couple predictions have come true: Stronghold generation from what I've seen is pretty messed up. There's definitely gonna have to be an overhaul to get that all sorted out. I really wonder if they aren't gonna revamp and move strongholds to the deep dark and let the wardens be the single guardian of the portal. I know Mojang said they weren't end-related, but that kinda counts, right? Also actually loving the way mineshafts look now. So many of them have bridges that just pass from one wall of the cave, over a giant chasm, and then right back. It's gonna be so much fun exploring those now.
As for my other thoughts: I'm glad the glowsquid won, it was one I originally voted for. I figured it was gonna drop some kind of glowing ink. It's a squid after all so that was pretty much a given. I really didn't want another hostile, I feel like the game is just littered with those at this point. And the moobloom sounded pretty boring. I just hope that the glow sac gets fully implemented as a dye in the future, making it possible to use with anything that can be dyed like armor, sheep, wool, and maybe glass and concrete and all that. Having a structure that you can see in the dark would be so cool.
And finally, I'm with a lot of people when it comes to archeology. I don't mind it overall but don't really feel like the purpose of making clay pots is worth it. The brush texture will also really need to be changed. If it looked a little more basic I might be a little more inclined to it
I would say yes and no. To someone who knows nothing about it the game doesn't provide much tutorial. That was one of the nice features about the legacy consoles is that they had tutorial worlds that helped you with the basics. When I first started I dug dirt with my hand and hid underground at night until I knew better.
Then once you know the basics (food, how to craft, what each tool and armor does) then I'd say the game is a lot easier and straightforward, especially with the recipe book. New players would probably build a little house and explore and then the learning curve is a lot less steep. Sure there's a ton of little features and items, but knowing the basics makes it a lot easier to learn on the go.
These are the various changes that were supposed to accompany the combat update. Although 4J has skipped and will probably never add the full changes to combat, the game had been made a bit more difficult for us anyway
i have recently herd that the update TU46 has come out so i jumped on Minecraft (xbox one edition) and realized i didn't have the update. what could i do to fix this
Check your network connection. It's possible that you've disconnected from the internet and can't download the update.
Otherwise, the update might have downloaded on its own without you realizing. Try loading up the game and looking for a few new features. For example, load a world in creative and see if there are End Crystals in the miscellaneous section of the creative menu.
Has the difficulty increased? I'm getting slaughtered by skeletons (is this due to their bizarre strafing behavior) and even in full iron armor a single creeper blast takes me out. Or is this buggy too?
Also, villager AI seems more broken than ever. I lost 80% of a village because they simply refuse to go indoors at night. They will stand in front of doors, but not go in and they will run around within their wandering distance, but when night falls, they just stand around like they have no idea what's going on. Could this be related somehow to all of the lighting issues going on? (I had full daylight at about level 20 in a cave, despite being no where near open sky).
You can actually respawn the Enderdragon using craftable end crystals and get a maximum of 4 different End Gateways in one single end. I've heard, but not yet confirmed, that one of these gateways is guaranteed to lead to a city.
I'll have to take a look for myself. I've only tested out two different end gateways, both of which had plenty of chorus forests, but no cities. Reading on the wiki, looks like both End Cities are completely randomized. There are several different rooms that can spawn next to each other, randomized each time. The islands themselves, in terms of shaping, is randomized in the same way all terrain is.
If you're wondering why you get such random results, it's because each end island is a sort of seed in and of itself. The primary end island has it's own barriers, so the end cities that get loaded in afterwards are their own subdimensions that uniquely generate. The same seed can get an infinite number of different end city variations.
Hope I'm understanding your question correctly, and hope this can provide some insight.
Probably as hard to find as ocean monuments are. Looking through a bunch of classic sized seeds, you really only get a temple from one of 10-15 seeds, so I imagine that the same will go for the mansions.
I've recently being trying a weirder style of building with acacia fences. Not impressive in words, but they huts look pretty cool when you see them. I'll attach a screenshot if I remember

Amplified worlds are a PC feature as well

Unfortunately, you have to reset the End for this to work.
Even if you didn't have to reset it, the dragon can destroy blocks and might destroy your castle. Sorry to be the bearer of bad news![:( :(](https://media.minecraftforum.net/avatars/0/17/635356669596699902.png)

Forgot about those. But the terrain isn't changing, just getting a new structure. You could igloos to generate on unloaded chunks

Sideways slabs would create an even create problem. I support this idea, but I'm also wondering how this would even work

I don't know, because it's fairly easy to build a golem. I wouldn't mind seeing villagers wield tools and armor though

Does it have to be a survival find?
