Ya, I think it is. I probably goofed up the config. I'll see what I can do to fix it tonight- baby is being.... cranky. xD
Yep. I set 'crops drop seeds' to true. I didn't realize that would STOP them from dropping produce... odd xD Ok! Update is all set, fixed on both the client and server, and updated BExChat while I was at it :3
Ok. Finally after MUCH tinkering all morning, I had finally managed to get the crystals to LOOK like crystals. Just for future reference, if you ever find yourself wanting to change it down the road, it's much easier to color the base texture and then use the overlay at partial transparency to make the shine. Tell me what you think! :3
I really really like your textures Also yeah, I actually changed the GUI buttons to be different in the next version. I like the tabs a lot, but unfortunately too many people use TiCon's API for that so I will just go with my own thing, you know? I feel like this is better for everybody At least for me it's better, because people can access the jewelry inventory easier XD
Ahhh ok! Glad to hear you plan to fix it ^^ And I'll see what I can do for some textures :3
Not offended I am aware that some of the textures are, well, not the best. I am a developer, not an artist. I was hoping Mr Compost would help me, but he's quite busy atm, but I do hope to get an actual texturer soon. But whenever someone says they'll help me they seem to suddenly start a new project or help someone else and end up like "Oh sorry, I am busy right now". But I hope to get a whole re-texture of most of the stuff (especially the shadow block XD I'm not fond of it at all).
I can see about making you some alternate textures ^.^ Example of my work:
Also! I wanted to let you know- when this mod is installed with Custom NPC's, the 'tab' that shows up above the player's inventory is invisible. It looks like Custom NPC's and your mod both use the same slot for that tab, because Custom NPC's tab shows up, but when clicked, it goes to your jewelry tab. Might be something to look at if you have time
I don't know if that makes me happy or sad :), btw does this version of Ancient Warfare has gates?
Ya.. I didn't really WANT to remove custom NPC's but until I can chat with the author of Jewelrycraft to move that tab, I decided to just remove it. Players can't get the item to create the NPC's in survival anyhow, so if you were playing a legit game, it was just a mod that was useless.
And yes, this is the version that has gates I'm not 100% sure how to use them.. but they're there xD
Also! Just finished recording the Server Setup and Optifine Setup videos.. hopefully I'll have time to edit them and clean them up tomorrow, and then maybe have them posted on my youtube by the end of the week. :3
Edit2: On a side note, I'm going to be pushing another update in a couple minutes. Had to remove TCNode Tracker because it was causing issues connecting to the server version of MysticBlade. Until I can resolve that, it will be left out.
Edit3: Talked to the author, and he knows about the tab conflict, apparently it does it with another mod too, so he's looking into a way to move or redesign it
Alright everyone I finally managed to get the update all set after some testing, so here it is!

I have on my to-do list two videos as of right now: The video that has to do with setting up the server, and another video on how to install optifine and shaders to the modpack. Keep an eye on my twitter and youtube for release dates!
This looks really awesome! I'm having a small issue though. It seems that your mod uses an entity with a fixed ID (3). I'm not sure what the entity is, because apparently it conflicts with another mod I have installed that also uses this ID, and I can't seem to find which one is using it and change it, so my modpack doesn't load. Here is the crash in case you are interested:
I was wondering if it's possible to have a config option to either enable dynamic ID's for this entity, or make it so you can assign it another ID? That would be amazing! (I was planning to add it to my MysticBlade Modpack once I got it working- see signature if curious) Thank you SO much! Can't wait to play with this mod!
Edit: OH WAIT. I derped~! Didn't have my glasses on! I think I found the line I can use to fix this. Going to check Unique Artifacts config right now.
Edit2: Ok! We're good. lol Sorry about that. I guess Unique Artifacts has a Golem that has ID 3, but it already has the config option to change it, so I just changed the one for that Sorry for the derpiness. Too early in the morning + no glasses = Derpy Wolf.
Just passing by to say that this modpack is "the droid I was looking for :)", you know, I tried to build a private modpack with RPG themed mods but for some reason the RAM usage always reached the max allocated, and I was only testing 10 or less mods, but your modpck with 100 mods rarely uses more than 2GB, well, anyway, I also want to ask you how to hide all that in-game information displayed, like the coordinates and the information about the current biome and temperature.
Aww~! Thank you! I'm glad to hear that so many people are enjoying it! I've put a lot of time and effort into it to make it decently stable, and it's been a very enjoyable hobby for me. In regards to removing the overlay, you can do it one of two ways:
1) Press Esc, and go to 'Mod Options'. From there, find 'InGame XML Info' (it's easy to find if you look for blue text- it's just above that). Once you've clicked on InGame XML Info, down under the mod list, click 'Config'. From those proceeding menus, you should be able to disable as little or as much of the overlay as you want.
2) You can simply remove the InGameInfoXML-1.7.10-2.8.1.80-universal.jar from the modpacks' installation folder. Take note, that if you use this method and I update the pack (which should be incoming sometime this weekend.. still testing some things) it will redownload this mod because it will look like it's missing to the launcher, so you will need to remove it manually again. The modpacks install folder should be located around here:
I realize it's a bit immersion breaking, but with the addition of Enviromine, I wanted to give the players more accurate information about the biomes they were in, especially because their survival now depends even MORE on where they are in the world than it did previously. I'll have to look into a way to possibly make it an optional install mod maybe.
Hey I want to start off saying thank you for all the hard work that you put into this pack. It is fantastic, but I have done a bit of customizing adding and removing mods but it has saved me loads of time and effort. I wanted to bring to your attention a few of the mods I added to my single player world. None of them are too large and they all add utility to the game. I hope you and others enjoy them as well.
Random- Adventure backpacks, More furnaces, zz-backpacks, Charcoal blocks, peaceful plus, dence ores MultiPageChest, Chest transporter, ender compass, gravel to clay, (update Travelers gear for Witching Gadgets), Mimicry, AM2 plant fix (found in the AM2 forum), Useful food mod, ender utilities,Warp book.
Alright! After careful review and testing, here is the breakdown of what I've decided:
TC Addons
-I will add TCNodeTracker as this is just a GUI/convenience thing, and doesn't really break or add any additional gameplay that needs balancing.
-I will NOT be adding Magistics for a variety of reasons. One, it is still in very heavy beta, two, it adds some world gen that players may need to travel VERY far or make new worlds entirely to see, and lastly, it adds more 'machines' that I really wanted to add to an RPG modpack.
-I will be adding Witching Gadgets. There are a couple "machines", but the interesting functionality it provides from a roleplaying perspective outweigh the small amount of "machines" it adds. (I use those air quotes liberally. They're not -reeeeally- machines)
-I will NOT be adding Thaumic Infusion.. I've used this before, it does has some kind of cool effects, but overall it's just fluff, and there's already a TON of fluff in the pack.
-I will NOT be adding Thaumic Machina.
-I will NOT be adding Nodal Mechanics.
Random Suggested Mods
-I will NOT be adding Adventure Backpacks for two reasons; Firstly, there are already backpacks in the modpack through a mod of the same name, and secondly, there have been several reported bugs where backpacks have lost their inventories. I do not want to be adding unstable mods to a finely balanced, "stable" mod pack. (Again.. I use those air quotes liberally LOL Seems like I break something every update..)
-I will NOT be adding More Furnaces as there are extra non-vanilla furnace type blocks added by both Metallurgy and Grimms' Fireplaces
-I will NOT be adding Peaceful Plus. This is a survival pack- it's meant to have mobs that you HAVE to fight. I don't want players using 'peaceful' recipes to avoid fighting or farming certain mobs.
-I will be adding Dense Ores; I'm actually surprised it's not in the pack, and that's a mistake on my part. I maintain a few other large modpacks that have this in it, and it may have slipped through the cracks.
-I will NOT be adding MultiPageChests, that's what IronChests are for.
-I will NOT be adding the Useful Food Mod.. that's just... too much food. Pam's already adds a TON, and if I add this in as well, there will probably be 3 different kinds of flippin' blueberries (besides many, many more). That's just too much, and Pam's is all ore dictionaried already, so I don't have to worry about it not working for other mods that add 'blueberry' recipes.
-I will NOT be adding the Warping Book. I already have Mystcraft installed, and if you really want to be able to warp from place to place (be it between dimensions or between areas in the same dimension), there are ways to make books for that.
I hope this answered some questions! Keep an eye on this forum and my twitter for updates to the pack I'll be posting in both places once I'm done with some last minute tests, and the update has been pushed to technic.
Edit: Phew. Sorry about that wall of text! *shakes her hands as they cramp up* Bed time now D:!
I've actually tried that already, because I was comparing the ports with my other server properties :(...
I think I will just check out your stream and if you'd be so generous (you obviously don't have to) could just do a general show off of the way to properly install the server... it should take about 5 minutes if total I guess. I just really love that you put quite the effort into a pack that, I think at least, fits perfectly into my way of wanting to play the game with others.
Thanks anyway, for trying to help with the problem
I will attach a picture concerning my problem as well: (attachment)
It just spams these kind of lines and yeah.. just seems like the server.jar can't seem to load anything.
Thanks in advance!
Hmm. Well, in regards to the screenshot, nothing looks wrong as far as I can tell. Does it eventually crash out, or does it just keep running and you can't connect? Also, check to make sure you have java 64bit and that you haven't allocated too much or too little RAM to the server (ie. more ram than you have in your machine, or not enough to load the world. I find that about 4-5GB max is enough w/64bit java).
In regards to the stream, I might just do that. I don't think it would be a bad idea, and 5 minutes isn't a big deal to show the setup I might even put it on my youtube just because my streaming tends to be sporadic, and I don't want anyone who wants to see it to miss it. If my husband heads to bed early, I can do it tonight, if not, probably Sun or Mon night. I'll post on my twitter when I'm going to stream, so keep an eye @Wolfofthenyght :3
I really love the mods and the work you put into this Pack and wish to play with my friends BUT there is a problem. I can't seen to get my hosting stuff done. I already tried everything in my ability, followed the important readme and checked other forums on general server hosting but just can't seem to find a way to get it done..
The problem I have is that people, including me, cannot connect to the server. It says that it's not even opened up etc.
So my question is if you could make a step-by-step tutorial for dummies like me on how to create your own server, preferably as a video.. I would really appreciate it even if it is only as a text format, but the videos always represent the true thing and don't leave anything out.
Btw. just in advance, I've hosted Vanilla and Hexxit already so this is my first asking on how to do this. Sorry
Sorry, thats probably my doing. Go into the server properties file and change the port from 25566 to 25565. Fyi, I'll be pushing out a big update this weekend and will hopefully be streaming some gameplay on beam.pro :3 Also, since Technic allows for it now, when you go to the technic page, a link to the server download will be there. As usual, you will need to add the minecraft_server.jar yourself once downloaded.

No, sadly not. I'll post here when I'm working on it again, but I don't think it will be anytime soon

It's not included due to the current restrictions on placing it in modpacks by the mod author. Long story short, it's not allowed in packs : /

Haha it is indeed! Congratulations :D!
