Hey guys, Wolf here with some very important news.

I'm stopping. Now hear me out, I've thought long and hard about this, but I don't think I can keep going on.

For one, coding this was once a habit of mine, just going back every few often. But making a page, and having to continuously update it with the latest Minecraft is becoming more tiring and something I'm starting to dread.

I don't want this to happen. Doing something I used to love, and then always doing it has just burned me out. I dread waking up and checking my email, and seeing the enthusiastic replies to this thread, hoping for the best and trusting in me.

Second, I looked over my code, and then realized something. It wasn't very good coding, and I pulled off more then I could chew. In the end, I ended up deleting many things and being more frustrated then ever.

I've been on Google, and found this (http://www.planetminecraft.com/mod/warrior-cats-mod-1617097/). Another, more active and enthusiastic person has made a Warrior Cats mod as well. I believe it would be best if this would head over there.

I'm sorry that this has come to this, but I don't think I wish to continue any longer. I thank you all for the support that you've given me for the past 1 - 2 years, and I'm sorry I have not given a single final product out from the time period. I hope you all understand and wish you all a good day.

    - Wolf

Sorry for not replying a lot, just concentrating a lot on my schoolwork + building the map.
I do, however, see all your replies via email.

Wolf, what are you working on now?

Taking a break, though I was/will be helping on building the lake territory.
    Yup.

Thanks for letting me know. Do you have a forest map?

I'm not entirely sure, since Taybama is/was working on it.
However, me and three or four other people are building the lake map.

Construction on the lake territories has started as me, Momibelle, Taybama, and wisemuffin98 set out to create a land perfect for warrior cats.

Great! What's GUI? I'm such a newbie at techie stuff...

Graphical User Interface. It's like the screen that appears when you right-click a furnace or other things.

1.How many skins can you handle?
2.How much are you done in %?
    3. What are you working on right now?

    1. Not sure, but I'll see if I can get about 20 - 30.
    2. 75 - 80% for the main part, though I'm not sure overall since people keep sending new ideas.
    3. Changing the player_api to the cat model (I've been procrastinating on this one), setting up a GUI, and kits.

Going to try to implement most of these ideas in, thanks guys!
Also, Taybama has volunteered to make a (I think forest) map, so contact Taybama for more information.

Why so long though? It's quite a lot of work for players at that length of time, why do you suggest such a long time?

If anyone joined the clan purely for the money, I don't think they want to wait that long just to see if they got a prize.
And you can shorten the time, if you wanted to.

    Hmmm

So you would suggest every couple of months?

    For what?

    Please explain

Well, if this was done multiple times, I suggest that you/we should choose the top 3 players every, say, 3 - 4 months.

Guys, I was thinking of adding a reward to the clan with my new found wealth.

The top three players would receive irl money for doing good for the clan.

    Rank 1: 15 dollars

    Rank 2: 10 dollars

    Rank 3: 5 dollars

    What do you guys think?

If this is a thing that happens uncommonly or rarely, I'd say yes. Once every couple months maybe, I don't think people who join just for the money have the patience to wait and see if they won.

We seem to have a similar mindset, I was thinking along the lines of those ideas.
    Quote from Aboveexpert

My first one being about clan choosing. With this mod, it could ask you which clan they would like to be in, upon creating a new world. So say the player chooses ThunderClan, then a ThunderClan camp would suddenly be constructed around them with dens and everything, along with all of their clanmates. The whole territory would be generated, along with the three other clans' territories. The only problem with this is that generating 4 massive territories could create quite a bit of lag, so it might be necessary to find a solution or an alternate method of creating the territories.

There is going to be a GUI which allows you to choose your clan, and I'm thinking of having a preset world for everyone, to decrease the time and lag to create the entire forest.

    Quote from Aboveexpert

Anyway, my second idea is that there could be some sort of rpg style to the mod, so you start as a kit or maybe an apprentice, then you progress through the ranks until eventually you become maybe even a deputy or leader. My thinking behind this is that your cat will get stronger and stronger as they go up ranks, unless of course, you are an elder, in which case you are about as strong as Purdy, young 'un. Anyway, so as an apprentice you would have lower health, deal less damage, not run as fast, etc. So if there were ever a time where an enemy clan burst into your camp and started attacking people, an apprentice would probably be in trouble. But a warrior would be much stronger and able to fight better. Since it would probably be extremely difficult to code for a deputy to order patrols and such, the deputy's main asset would be that he is stronger than a warrior, and a leader would be even stronger, along with having nine lives.

I'm not entirely sure how to do the level up in ranks, whether there should be a currency like system which decides your rank, or after a certain time you instantly level up. The increase/decrease in stats sound like it could work, like an infinite potion effect until they get to a certain point. Instead of nine lives for leaders and bulkier deputies, I'm thinking of buffing their HP up. For instance, leaders could have 90 hearts, or 45 if the cats all normally have 5 hearts rather than 10.

    Quote from Aboveexpert

So I mentioned that leaders would have nine lives, but what about other cats? Can't they just click the respawn button? Well... yes and no. This is my next idea. Nobody wants a careless warrior who just goes around and puts their life in danger, just because they know they can respawn as many times as they want. So I thought about it and have come up with a solution. It could be a whole Cinderpelt/Cinderheart kind of thing. So pretty much when the player dies, they are reborn as the lowest rank cat, they would lose their items and their ranking. Doing this would make it so players actually had to worry about invading cats or evil badgers or foxes, and not just be willing to throw their life away. It could also be useful for someone who is a deputy but misses the life of an apprentice, so they could throw themself off a cliff and be reborn as a kitten. However, leaders cannot simply die like that, they have nine lives. So I thought that when they become leader they could immediately get nine lives to save them from having to journey great distances. So every time the player dies, they are allowed to press respawn and they will come back again as the same cat, but they may only do so nine times. I figure if the player forgets how many lives they have, they can just ask the medicine cat, who always seems to know how many lives the leader has.

Hmm, this one sounds a little harder. I'm not sure how I can implement respawning changes.

My last idea has to do with mates. I was thinking that a system similar to what they have in Minecraft Comes Alive, where you can build a relationship with the mobs, however in warriors it could be things like bringing them fresh kill, hunting with them, that kind of stuff and it builds up a relationship with them and eventually the player would be able to request them to be the player's mate. When they become mates, the partner becomes almost a slave, the player would be able to tell them to stay somewhere, to follow, or just allow them to do whatever cats do. I think that right clicking the mate with a certain item could open a GUI where the player can select the action they want their mate to do, and then there could be a small inventory so the mate could actually hold things for the player. And of course, what would be mating without kits, right? I'm not sure going into details would be such a great idea for the mod, but maybe just have it so that in the mate GUI there is a button that says "Have Kits" or something and pressing it would send the mate to the nursery where they will give birth to kittens, which are basically the same as the mate, you can control their action and they have a small inventory for you. The issue with this is that it could be awkward for female players. Maybe when the player begins their world the game will ask whether they are male or female, and when mating commences, the player will travel to the nursery instead, thus making things easier for female characters.

I'm not sure how to do gender either, so I guess cats could be homosexual if they choose to be until further notice. I'll see how much of the mating part I can do, probably the same way with animals. Player eats/drink something special, gives mate something special, love hearts appear and a possibility of 1 - 3 kits.

Thanks all for the ideas, I think I can hopefully get it out soon.
