posted a message on Beardless Notch?
Well, the problem here is that by personal experience, if you've had your beard for a while and then shave it, you feel so fresh and clean that you always feel tempted to not grow it back, which in Notch's case would be a loss for humanity...

I play in hard difficulty all the time... If I switch to easy now, it will be like switching to peaceful... play hard and crap your pants a few times, after that, easy won't seem scary at all...

posted a message on Minecraft Seeds Pro - Manage Your Seeds Like a Pro
I'm sorry to say this, cause at first I really liked it... But right now it's become an unregulated mess, where everyone posts the most mundane and boring run-of-the-mill seeds you've ever seen.

Also, it seems the people that are submitting the seeds either know NOTHING of Minecraft or are EXTREMELY new to the game.

People are taking pictures of their monitor screens with an external camera (you can imagine how crappy that looks) instead of taking in-game pics... People are digging out old Beta 1.7.3 seeds out of Google from what it seems to look cool or whatever (seeds that obviously will never work on the currrent MC version) and then posting their Youtube channels to get hits....

    For this to work:

    1) Seeds need to be regulated so that they conform to at least a certain level of quality and tested before they go in the app to tell if they are legit.
    2) The spam needs to be controlled, as it is right now you can see miles of people just spamming AAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAA in the comments like retards.
    3) Seeds need to be able to be classified by game version, as it is, you can't tell what version they are for.
    4) Some standards need to be enforced, like freaking coordinates! People just say "kul seeeed I's foundzz!" And a bunch of pics of the monitor with random areas you can't tell how to see or get to...

All in all, I'm happy I tried it out with Installous before I wasted my money on it...

If it gets better, I'll definitely buy, but as of now, the forums are a MUCH better source for seeds.

posted a message on AWESOME MINECRAFT SEED PLEASE SEE!
    Well, Mr. Boomhog...

First off, this is the wrong forum section...

Second, those two worlds are VERY run-of-the-mill everyday Minecraft seeds... Don't see anything wonderful or unique about them...

Third, the second seed in the video is just a corrupted Minecraft.jar... with a crapload of chunk errors, so no one is getting that world...

If anyone is interested in the seeds for some reason, they are:

    chrome

    ostrich

But the second one was corrupted in the video, so who knows what you'll get...

posted a message on Dive bombing-creepers... YAY!
Can't say I've seen this one in the patch notes, but at least for me in 1.4 pre, creepers now dive bomb at you from higher ledges.

The little green blastards don't even hiss when doing it either... they blow up the instant they hit the floor...

I just crapped my pants like 20 minutes ago, while walking around at depth level 10 in the bottom of a ravine on top of (thankfully) an obsidian layer... And happened 3 times while lighting up said ravine's bottom, so it's not a one time thing...

I always play with headphones on, which only makes matters worse in this case. Way back when, mobs would walk off ledges while trying to reach you and kill themselves, so they patched them with a new AI that would make them find a better path to you that would not harm them, if there was no path they would just stand there and stare...

Now, those green little sheets will kamikaze dive-bomb you from higher up with no warning, there is no hiss, NOTHING!

Hey I personally like it, cause Minecraft is kinda easy, let's be honest...

But dammit! No warning at all that this was going in and you are merrilly walking along...

*creeper drops right in front of you from off sight ledge above*

    BOOM!!!

"AH!! SONOFABETCH!!" <--- Me screaming at the top of my lungs while I soil my pants at 3AM while my wife is sleeping in the next room...

It doesn't help marital/gaming relations i tell you...

posted a message on Need to get rid of this "Always server" Singleplayer
How can some people in this thread not understand it?

It used to be you could kill a creeper just standing still and spamming your sword, now you have to hit the creeper, run backwards, hit again, rinse repeat until creeper dead.

That little bit of lag makes it so that sometimes you cant avoid a creeper from exploding and that sucks in a cave where you have no room to move sometimes.

This happens with all mobs, not only creepers... Spiders hit you before you can do anything since they jump at you, endermen are a pain in the ass, cause they always hit you anyway. Basically there is no way to avoid getting hit by enemies because of that little bit of local latency, no matter how good of a player you are.

Also, mob traps behave weird, redstone now has a delay, you can't break blocks from max distance to speed up mining time anymore...

It essentially messed up single player for everyone... Single player now behaves like multiplayer (which is legendarily known for how damn bad it is) and single player got nothing useful in return...How people do not notice this is beyond my comprehension as it has NOTHING to do with your internet connection, playing offline or how awesome your pc is...
