posted a message on World doesn't load or lags

So I recently bought minecraft and was playing it for about a week. I have slightly low FPS in general because my laptop is crap. However, just recently my minecraft worlds have been having issues. My main world, survival will take an extraordinarily long time to load on the "Downloading Terrain" screen. Once it does, it is fine. However, if I go to the end/nether or save and quit and load it back up, it never gets off the 'Downloading Terrain" screen. Anytime it does I have 0 fps and can't move. The same happens on any new world I create or any creative world I have.

I checked the output but this is all i found:

[22:52:47] [Server thread/WARN]: Can't keep up! Did the system time change, or is the server overloaded? Running 6476ms behind, skipping 129 tick(s)

I think I've found the problem, in the launcher code:

    ...
[22:45:46 ERROR]: Game ended with bad state (exit code -805306369)
[22:45:46 INFO]: Ignoring visibility rule and showing launcher due to a game crash
    [22:45:46 INFO]: Deleting C:\Users\user\AppData\Roaming\.minecraft\versions\1.8.8\1.8.8-natives-42847013952681
[22:45:46 WARN]: Couldn't delete C:\Users\user\AppData\Roaming\.minecraft\versions\1.8.8\1.8.8-natives-42847013952681 - scheduling for deletion upon exit

I find when I delete the folder it refers to, my one main world works again. But as this folder is created every time I start the game, it will eventually stop the terrain from downloading.

I'm really confused as to why this is happening all of the sudden. Any help is appreciated.

Definitely not exaggerating. After killing all the mobs in my home area, they start respawning and skeletons/creepers almost always spawn right in front of or right behind me.

Yeah well that must be a glitch then because hostile mobs are supposed to spawn 20-32 block away

On a side note, does 4J have any plans on adding the smooth stone/sandstone double slabs or written books?

Ever since the latest update, there have been several issues.

    1. The game starts heavily lagging and glitching after 2-3 hours of play. If I save, exit, then go back in, it's fine. None of my other games are lagging or having problems. I uploaded the City texture pack and it didn't change anything.

    2. No animals are spawning anywhere. My homestead area that I patrol covers approximately 300 x 200 blocks of a plain biome next to a jungle biome, and in that space I have 2 villagers, 6 dogs, 2 chickens, 2 sheep, 2 pigs, 2 cows, 2 horses, 1 donkey. Animals never spawn anywhere in my area, not even one. They used to before the update, I had cows, sheep, and chickens everywhere. They also are not spawning anywhere outside of my home turf either. I roam the map on horseback and there's literally nothing.

    3. Yet monsters spawn like crazy at night, often in big batches of the same kind. For example, 6-10 zombies will spawn within the same 20x30 area, or 6-10 creepers. Big skeleton groups are hard to fight as they all blast you with arrows at the same time, knocking you back where you can't reach with a sword or stay steady long enough with a bow. The same goes for creepers when a bunch spawn at once, as it's not possible to kill all of them if they suddenly spawn next to you and blow everything up. I also noticed that Endermen have become extremely common. I see 4-6 of them every night in my home area, whereas before the update I only ever saw maybe 1-2 every 3-5 nights.

    4. This is the biggest issue. The Nether is royally messed up. I tried to go into it yesterday for the first time since the update, and it majorly glitched like crazy. As soon as I went through the portal and appeared in the Nether, all of my dogs were with me (despite all sitting still in their kennel 30 blocks away when I went through) as well as 4-5 creepers, 4-5 skeletons, and 4-5 zombies. It was an insane explosion of dogs barking and attacking mobs, zombies and skeletons attacking and shooting me with arrows glitching and getting stuck in the air, and creepers blowing everything up along with ghasts blasting the whole scene -- including the portal. I'm glad I always save my game before going through or I would have been stuck there or killed. I reloaded my save, then went through again, and the same thing happened. Total chaos that shouldn't be there. I did it 2 more times, including trying my other portal 200+ blocks away as well as exiting the game first, and it still does it. I also switched back to the original texture from the City texture, but it didn't make any difference. Still chaos when I went through.

I took a video of the whole Nether glitch and posted it to my Facebook group. The link should work as the group and post are public:

    Any thoughts?

They're working on the lag issue, like you said saving and exiting works.

theyre working on the animal spawn rate.

mobs are supposed to spawn in groups of the same mob, however they're not supposed to spawn near you, so unless you're exaggerating then this is indeed a glitch

sounds fun I've neve experienced that

Just a few bugs that I figured out. I'm not sure if they're bugs or if they're weren't in this version on the PC. Ill check the wiki.

sandstone halfslab has wrong texture. (I've seen a different one than the one in the game so idk)

    Sanstone stairs have wrong texture

In the PC version you can repair armor in your crafting window, without the use of an anvil. This would really save me a lot of levels.

Yeah, that's been kicking around for the last few updates.

I've deduced that what seems to be happening is the mob will initially drop the item(s) on the deathblow, and then drop them "again" when they despawn. Since they are usually 2-3 blocks away (further with Knockback) the "re-dropped" items appear to jump or teleport to another location.

It's actual not a big hassle if you follow the trajectory of the killed mob.

Not saying it shouldn't be fixed though...

This is a bug still even in the computer version 1.8.1 as seen in some videos, not sure if it has been fixed as of 1.8.3 though

Yes I understand all of this but since when did sharpness add durability damage?

also, zombie villager rates are off, on hard mode when a zombie kills a villager, they're supposed to turn into a zombie villager 100% of the time. That is not the case.

    IM SORRY... WHAT????

    71. That's how many hits my diamond armor took before it broke. I was testing out some damage tables, so I gave my sharpness V sword to a zombie. He picked it up and I let him continuously hit me. After a few hits I noticed my armour was somehow damaged a lot. So I let him keep hitting me. It took him a full 90 hits to break my entire set.

Is the amount of damage mobs do Counting for extra durability loss?? Because unless the wiki page is wrong, diamond armor lasts all of about 500 hits.

Beacons still don't work in the nether, seems to be because of the bedrock ceiling since above that they work fine. The wiki states as long as its a clear view to y:127 in the nether they should work.

Idk if this is just me, but baby zombies aren't giving any experience orbs upon death by a player or environment.

walking on snow produces non sound.

stone slabs are mined easier with an axe, even to the point of adventure mode allowing you to break stone slabs with an axe

Are we unable to check the rotation of an item in an item frame? This may be a 1.8 feature I'm not sure.

also, the description for rotten flesh is incorrect:

"Restores 2 (hunger points). Eating this can cause you to be poisoned."

it should say food poisoning not actual poison, like a spiders eye.

But it's clearly a bug, because it is present in current versions. It sounds like we're literally getting everything from the PC updates... INCLUDING the bugs that have already been fixed. It was said in the TU19 thread, I play this version of minecraft because I thought, being as far back from the PC version, we wouldn't get as many of the bugs. Guess I was wrong...

If you are standing in a one deep water that is flowing you will drown without ever seeing that you are underwater, see screenshot:

I second this. And when I finally noticed I was drowning, I went move back into the regular ocean(I was mining clay) I started taking damage so fast it was like I was suffocating in a wall. Pretty annoying when I'm playing with no health regen.

Thats only partially correct, the area can be 'generated' so to speak but only for rendering reasons, however if the world actually generates it by exploring the data and thus actually calling the generate terrain (which you can sometimes see because generating causes lag), but generating for reasons of rendering is kinda different in that it only partially generates the terrain, and only top layers, this is so that we can 'see' the area from a distance so to speak.

Point is once the area becomes explored and thus its generate terrain is called and done, the area will not generate structures any further. In theory it could be done because witch huts are not actually generated by the terrain, well they are but only partially, they were and still are (in 1.6) calculated by an offset from the swamp biome, so in therory yes they could still work but again this involves a kludge (adding code that would generate structures where one doesn't exists and should, and would cause lag as its additional code running overhead that shouldn't need to be there). Or they could add a 'conversion' code that does this at load time which would compare it against some version, and if the version is older then load, and generate structures for all chunks that exists. So it could be done, but they won't magically start working once the game starts using structures, because structure data for already existing areas is missing.

Course its entirely possible that existing structures exists, but for some reason or another is not being used, which i think is highly unlikely, as if it did exists, using it would have solved all issues.

Still, I think using structure data like in the PC would help solve some of these issues. It would just need to be translated into the console. But still, there should be some amount of data used because you can toggle the "Generate Structures" option. so the game must have some coding at least for some structures that allows it to use the structure as a separate "entity" if you will. Like the reset nether option that gives you a nether fortress for old worlds... I find it hard to believe that they can code that to happen properly but not code wither skeletons into properly. Maybe I'm just insane.
