posted a message on Tinkerer's Table

If you read my other posts in this thread, you would know I don't. I'm against having a redundant menu.
Commands and command blocks should be made easier to work with and customize, instead of adding a block that does the exact same thing as a command can do.

Than make your own suggestion. You keep saying it's redundant and fix it fix it but it's just mindlwss spam at this point. You're not even bringing any counter arguments to my previous posts. Almost every post in this thread is yours or a reply to yours. You wanna see change than start by putting the idea out there.

Completely agree with you on that one, commands are a pain to work with. But the solution to that problem should be to improve command blocks and command inputs, not to add an unnecessary block that does the work of a command block, but simplified.

It doesn't have to replace the command block. The only thing that would make the commblock better is if you could type:

Give @? A Potato with Sharpness X, Looting XXX, Flame V and Knockback VII.
And be able to translate that into command language with the press of a button.
Also let's talk accessibility. How many kids, teenagers or even adults are gonna be able to understand commands besides the basic gamemode change? It just benifits everybody to make it simpler for everyone.

I like the idea, but this is a strange way to implement this. If we didn't have commands I'd be on board, though the name Tinkerer's Table is a bit goofy in my opinion. Neutral stance.

I would actually use this, but I think this idea would land better if it was in the form of a Creative Mode menu, so you don't have to craft a strange table and then do what you want.

You could only get it in the Misc Creative mode menu. No need for crafting.

But why have the commands that are already in the game be available if an item can do the same thing.
This isn't hard to do at all for an experienced mapmaker. It doesn't even require any third party tools, like you need to do when editing NBT tags, all of this can be done in game by executing one/two commands.

Really, it's already pretty simple. All you need is a knowledge of commands and NBT formats, both of which you'd also need to properly work with this table of yours.

Of corse. Much simpler than placing an item and then changing everything in the table's UI.

Instead of this as an item, I suggest you turn this into a menu that you can open after pressing E only in Creative mode.

    Other than that,

    FULL SUPPORT

    That could work.

All of this can be done through commands, apart from changing the AI of a passive mob to hostile. But even that could be done easily be having the mechanics of the Chicken Jockey be applied to all passive mobs, making them hostile when ridden by a Baby Zombie.

But the rest of this thread is pointless, it can all be done by using commands or command blocks, so this item has no reason to be in the game.

The point is to simplify things.

    The Tinkerer's Table

Ever wanted making a map to be easier and more simplified? The Tinkerer's Table will help with some of that.

Only accessible in Creative Mode The Tinkerer's Table has 3 Tabs.

    1. Custom Mob Spawning

You can create a spawner with any mob with anything in an armor slot and anything as a weapon all with any level of any enchantment.

You can make passive mobs aggressive and you can edit their drops and their drop rates.

Once done press create and you will have a custom spawner.

    2. Fully Custom Enchantments

Give any item a custom enchantment of any level. Imagine Fortune or Looting at 3000!

You place the item in the slot and select an enchantment and the level.

    Press confirm and you're done!

    3. Custom Item Stats

Wanna change the damage and other stats of an Item? Wanna give yourself more speed or Jump boost while holding an item? Wanna inflict a potion effect via damage with an item? This tab is for you. You take the item and put it in a slot to change it's stats. Then Press Confirm or Undo. then you're all done and you can continue with your mining and or crafting.

Notice the last two tabs can be used in the first one.

So that's the suggestion. Thoughts? I want to see your ideas for more tabs to add before I post to Reddit.

I'm hoping to get this in game.

What is and isn't allowed? (More specificly greifing related.)

Are there any limits on what you can say?

These things should be in the OP. I too often see people leave out these details and wonder why nobody is coming onto their server.

Think about it. If they add an update as big as the ones in Teraria then the updates would take longer. Also Almost every ore in Tararia has tools and weapons for it.

A reminder that HP does not equal one heart. And there's a difference. One heart = 2 HP added with the fact that you can ue armor to protect yourself the rain isn't bad if you're prepared. (Which you should be anyways.) I will edit the OP in a bit but right now I've got a date with the Eater of Worlds. I figure first i'll have him lunch on my sward and then I will shower him with gifts of shurikens to the face. Afterwards I think i'll style him up with some accessories, namely arrows. See ya!

Not needed. Lava rain is definitely not something I would ask for. Would you even really want that? sure it sounds cool

but how often are you gonna keep coming back to or anywhere near the nether if this were actually added. How many deaths?

how many burnt tools and resources would be enough to get you to finally say enough and never go back until

they remove the feature that you suggested.

    no support

What I don't expect people to get is it adds a much needed challenge into the nether. Also when did I say it would burn up your tools? It doesn't. I don't get how you could possibly get confused into thinking actual blocks of lava would fall from the celling. I clearly stated how much damage it does. much less then actual lava. Either that or there's a bit of confirmation bias going on..

I for one like the suggestion but it's still a bit vague. So it's uncommon, right? That's good, I can deal with that, but does it spread? Can you prevent it from being in a block?

Also another little addition I would suggest is adding an immunity to its effects if one has a helmet of a certain tier, or maybe a special helmet.

Im trying to not make it too wishlisty but I will do something. Nice idea!
