    version:0.15

ATTENTION: Lately I've been very busy with studies and other real-life stuff, and that's why I haven't been updating the mod for a while. I'm currenly leaving the mod as a cold case. I'm very sorry for everyone who's been supporting me and this mod. As for mod pack developers, I'm giving permission for everyone to use this mod in their mod pack from version 0.15 and below, but please include my name in the credits :) Again, I'm sorry for leaving the project, but I simply don't have time nor motivation to continue modding for a while. Take care!

Don't you just hate it when you're playing Minecraft, building a house, gathering resources, killing animals, well, basically just relaxing and having fun, and then suddenly; rain. It's way too noisy. If you're talking to someone over a microphone, you can't hear what they're saying. The rain is so noisy you have to turn the volume down almost all the way. And it doesn't look any good either. It's too dark, making it extremely difficult to see, especially if it's night. As soon as it starts raining, you get the hell back to your bed, and you just hope it's dark enough to sleep. Well, in that case, this mod is for you! This is a very small mod, but will make your game much more relaxing.

The mod will significantly lower the volume of the rain, and the rain has a different sound too. Instead of sounding like a hurricane, the rain will now have a calm, relaxing sound. This mod will also fix the texture of the rain. It'll now be brighter and, depending on the strength of the rain, it'll also not be so thick. That means fewer drops of water.

As I mentioned above, the rain will come in different strengths. The strength of the rain is random. The textures of the rain will change accordingly to the strength of the rain. Let's say the weakest rain is zero, and the highest rain is a hundred. If the rain is zero, there will be no sound and no texture. If the strength is a hundred, the rain will be very thick, and the sound is at the loudest. Even though a hundred gives the most amount of sound, it will still be silent enough for you to enjoy your game without having to yell to your friends or turn down the volume. This mod will not change the gameplay in any way.

I have not spent very much time on this mod. It's a small mod, but it does what it's supposed to do. I'm not planning on updating this very often, but I will try to keep up with the Minecraft versions. And I haven't searched around a lot to see if there are already mods like this. I'm guessing there are, but in that case, you have more to choose from.

    Review:

    Screenshots:
This is the lowest amount of rain. Very difficult to see in a picture, but small drops can be seen. Gives nothing, or very little sound.

Slightly more rain, still very silent and gives little ground particles.

Here you can see how much it can rain. Gives more sound than the previous strengths and will also drop more particles.

    Information:
Please do not use direct links for the mod downloads for public uses. Doing so will keep people for getting the information needed, and it will keep them from getting the last update of the mod. Use the minecraftforum.net link.

If you want the rain strength to synchronize, that means, all the players can see the same rain in the server, make sure you put the mod in the server too.

Remember to delete any old versions of the mod before downloading the new one.

If the game crashes, do the following:-Download and install the LATEST-RECOMMENDED version of Forge, and make sure it has the same version as this mod.
-You might be missing your config folder. Just create a new folder in .minecraft called "config". For servers, create the folder where you've installed the server.
-Make sure you have added both of the .jar files to your mods folder. One of them is the regular mod, and one is the core mod.
-Download and install the latest version of Java.
-Update all your drivers. Outdated drivers can cause lots of trouble.
-Maybe you have a mod which conflicts with this one? Try disabling all the other mods, and then try to start the game. If it crashes, then post the crash log in this thread, or PM me.

I haven't had a lot of time to test the mod. If you find any bugs, big or small, feel free to post it in the thread or send me a private message.

Hmm, that's odd. The mod does nothing but brighten up the water particles. Are you sure they are completely gone? Or maybe Extra Utilities uses the rain texture somehow and the mod messes it up as rain is less thick? Take a good look and see if there are no particles or they are just difficult to see. It shouldn't just disappear. Thank you for reporting this issue :)

EDIT: My bad. This is an issue from the mod's side. I just read your comment again and realized something. I'll fix this as soon as I can

The "k" spamming was a bug testing feature I forgot to remove, but it should be gone now. And yes, extract both jar files to the mods folder. I'll put everything inside one jar sometime, but for now it'll do with two. The reason is that one of the files gives access to some fields and methods inside Minecraft, and the other file does everything else; fixes sounds, textures and handles configuration.

Well I didn't change the way configuration works. Maybe I did something by accident. I'll look into it later. Thank you for reporting a possible bug :)

No worries mate, studies always come first. We're grateful that you even made the mod in the first place.

    Exactly like Hikachan said!

Thanks for the wonderful mod :)

I must agree studies are important. I'm happy you guys like the mod, and are patient enough to wait so long for a new version. The new release will be much more stable, which means few bugs. I've managed to fix the sound a bit, as the sound would be very buggy upon opening/closing inventory or chat. This is still an issue, but it's a good as gone (unless you try to make it happen). I hope of all my heart you guys will like the new update. The next few days I will be able to answer questions and update my mod if new bugs appear.

Hello my dear Minecrafters! First of all, I'm giving you my biggest apologies for the inactivity. I've been very busy with school and stuff, so I haven't been able to update my mod, nor answer your questions and issues. I am hoping I can have a little more time the next days to comment on your replies and update my mod. I'm hoping I can release a more stable update possibly today or maybe tomorrow. I'll get rid of the bugs you guys have told me about, and possibly just make it a little bit more efficient.

Thank you all for your patience and hope you can forgive my inactivity.

oh okay, sorry for asking for the second time then. I'll wait till FTB is stable on 1.7.2 and i will definitely use your mod :D

Don't be sorry, I can't expect you to read all the comments. And it sucks that the 1.6.4 code is so messy, I've already spent quite some time trying to make it work. Let's just hope FTB (whatever that is) comes with 1.7.10 asap then :)

Sorry for being so inactive the last couple of days. I will be updating the mod soon to add a configuration file. The 1.6.4 version is yet not finished, although it's getting close. Will be doing some research on the weather slider too and see if I can fix any bugs and stuff. Again, I'm sorry for being inactive, but I'll try to answer questions and such as much as I can. Still don't know what's wrong with Mediafire though, I'll look into that too.

I've been thinking of making some configuration. Shouldn't be hard to do. And maybe the rain should be a little louder. I'm thinking a config file will be the next thing I make. Thanks for the feedback. I love to hear ideas and such :)

It's been confirmed the last version will get rid of the flashing rain bug. Thanks to Dry_Taste for helping me with that.

We just reached 500 downloads! Thanks to everyone for supporting me and the mod. I will be using Adfly from now on, but I will have a direct link available for those who wants to avoid the ads.
