As for the servers, they are probably not updated to 1.5 yet.

Why: I really love ftb, but cant stand large server, especially ones without whitelist. This server sounds exactly like a server i would want to play on, a small tight-knit group.
Playtime: i can play everyday for 2-8 hours
I'd be very hesitant to white-list Nickleeb. He griefed a server I played on with his brother, steveleeb (obviously don't accept this guy either.) Be warned.

1.I don't see a rule about that, I see nothing wrong with it.
2.I love the Nether Quart blocks so much ^__^
Not against the rules, but just because it isn't doesn't mean it doesn't makes him look like an idiot.

And that palace is a very big and awesome palace! So big it probably reaches to the far lands! *sarcasm*
Anyway, good try. I'm sure you can continue it a bit more, right?
He said he doesn't have any idea on how to continue the build. Maybe instead of trying to be cool by writing in a different font, you could have read the rest of his post and maybe offered some ideas.

edit: Meh, one thing that bothers me is that the mod using Steve-esque looking skins and stuff. I was thinking more along the lines of the villagers already in the game (the squidwards.) Oh well, still looks nice.
Aug 1, 2012WinkyNutter posted a message on For people that dont know how to mod but have good ideasWith the introduction of Villager trading in the game, I was thinking it would be cool if there was a mod that added in NPC Cities. Not only are there villages, but there could be randomly generated stables and castles and other medieval structures and things. It could add in knights and other random NPCs like bandits and other things. Yeah I know there are NPC mods like that already, but when I think of this, I think it would fit ideal in the new adventure mode, and the player has no control over what the NPCs hold and stuff like that. This mod would also make it to where you have to trade and make a lot of money before being allowed in the large cities and castles. Then, you could work your way up as a merchant, or as a sellsword. An assassin, or a beast slayer (the mod could add dragons and other beasts.) Once you get enough money, you could buy the city or buy a "permit" to build a city or castle. With your money you could buy knights, sellswords, butchers, miners, bankers, and allow traders in your city to sell goods. Pretty much the sequence would go.Posted in: Mods Discussion
Start in the new world ----> Find a village -----> Do quests or trade to get emeralds and goods ------> Get enough money to get into the big city. ------> Do more quests (harder ones) and trade to make your way up and become the richest man/ woman in the city. ------> Buy sellswords and archers to either take over the city, or help the lord of the city attack another city and take it over for yourself, or buy land to build a new city/castle. ------> Run the city. (Forced to keep a budget and not run out of money. Make decsions that could either help moral of the citizens or make them angry and attempt to over throw you.)
Kinda thinking along the lines of a Game Of Thrones-esque world/adventure type mod.

Hey, guys, random question. Looking for more mods to use in tandem with TC3. Any newer-ish ones that you guys have found?
Have you tried BiblioCraft? It adds shelves, armor stands, potion stands, etc. so you can show off all your magic stuff.

On another note just a little mini-modding, while this pertains to survival, this is advertising a video therefore this post is in the wrong section.
A bit a of topic here, but this can be posted in many sections.

Do you have a thing against caves? D:
1) Makes the game way too easy to get resources
2) Makes mining a pointless task
3) I like to build underground without having to fill in massive areas.
4) They lose their magic as a "nice find" when you're tripping over them every 20 blocks.
5) It's just my own preference.

Nov 5, 2012as of 1.3.2, most mods(any that is FORGE based, will work on LAN as well. If its not run on forge, LAN won't work correctly using the SSP versions. You will have to setup a server with the SMP version to do that.Posted in: Mods Discussion
Summary: Not every SP mod works with Lan.
Forge Mods: Yes.
Non-Forge Mods: No.
BTW(Better than Wolves, i presume) is a NON-forge based mod. You cannot(to the best of my knowldege) host a LAN server with BTW. it doesn't account for Multple players correctly without the SMP files, which can only be installed correctly into a server.
From the BTW Readme file:
****** Installation Instructions ******
1) Make sure minecraft is not running.
2) Install Risugami's ModLoader (http://www.minecraft...?f=1032&t=80246)
3) Open your minecraft.jar with Winrar or other program
4) Delete the META-INF folder in minecraft.jar (you should have already done this when you installed ModLoader)
5) Copy all the files and folders in this mod's MINECRAFT-JAR folder into your minecraft.jar (overwriting any existing files).
****** Server Installation Instructions ******
1) Make sure minecraft is not running.
2) Open your minecraft_server.jar with Winrar or other program
3) DO NOT install Modloader and DO NOT delete META-INF. Unlike with the client, these steps are not necessary, and it will not work properly if you perform them.
4) Copy all the files and folders in this mod's MINECRAFT_SERVER-JAR folder into your minecraft_server.jar (overwriting any existing files).
5) Optionally, copy the mod's config file into the same directory that contains minecraft_server.jar.
6) Obviously, clients connecting to your server will need to have BTW installed.
8) Receive heaps of praise from the players on your server for installing BTW, and laugh maniacally as you ban dissenters.
Edit: BTW is incompatible with almost every other mod in existence, that could also be part of the problem.
You will have to setup a server in order to play BTW in multiplayer. Hope this helps some.
Aug 2, 2012Posted in: Creative ModeHey guys, my name is a critz and I just wanted to share I new 1.3 glitch I have found.
In a nutshell the glitch creates a boat that flys for about 20 blocks before turning aroundand flying back to a source. The boat is undestructable, isn't affected by blocks placed in its path and cannot be entered like a normal boat, making it a floating moving platform which you can stand on and move across voids of nothingness.
Now moving across voids is nothing special BUT never before have parkour maps been able to have dynamic platforms which move from point a-b without pistons and other junk which wrecks the effect of a floating platform gliding through the sky.
Now you are able to jump from moving-floating platform to another which could create pretty epic dynamic parkour maps.
Anyways I found this in the prerelease but have not had time to play around with it, check out my video and see what you can do with it, would love to see some video responses etc!
Give me a like and stuff if you thought the glitch/video was half decent, I'm new to youtube and it means a lot haha.
