No I agree with RubberDuck, he doesn't make his point well though, the game has become popular which I'm okay with, but rather than reacting positively to this, mojang has reacted negatively. They have added new blocks, new areas, new styles and so on. But minecraft is meant to be a 'sandbox' game not an RPG or Adventure game. Since the Adventure update they havent added anything really new sandbox wise. They made you basically die unless you hunted and ate, they added levels. Now don't get me wrong this was a great update coding and new-stuff wise but I used to enjoy the freedom of the 1.3 and 1.4 updates. It was meant to be a realistic style (excluding the nether ofc) but maintaining that funny sandbox mode and that quirky little DAMMIT LAVA attitude. Notch nerfed fire, lava and invulnerability to mundane things like hunger. Every update I now dread because there are 100 RPG's and Shooters out there but only one Minecraft. All I am saying is that for us original minecrafters, the game has gone a bit off track. We want more stuff to build with, more variation and less restrictions, instructions and goals. This new 'ending' they have brought out may have crushed my spirit in this game. Mabye I'll just stick to 1.7...

I ****ing hate the "it can only be a sandbox game" bull ****. It is NOT imposssible for a game to be a Sandbox-RPG-Adventure game. I cannot stand that dogmatic ******** at all. Balance can be worked out, and isn't subjective to the game - style is.

Endermen originally came from the Nether. This is obvious/hinted by many things. The portals (which I'll get to later), them getting hurt by water, and the look of the Nether.

I'll start off with the look of the Nether.

-The Nether & its Connections
You know how the Nether looks all messd up (I know - right) - how it looks all stringy, and weathered down. Keep that image in mind, and watch this video.


Looks kind of similer, no? Kind of like Endermen picked up and placed blocks there for years? Well, that's what it looks like to me. :dry.gif: Still, it's kind of alike.

This also brings up the point of water. Water, it seems, would snuff them out. Put out their fire, as they never would come into contact with Water there. It seems natural that it'd brun them, like magma burns us. I'm assuming they're very hot (as they come from the Nether).

That's all fine and dandy, but how did they get here?

It seems as if they biult a portal to get here. Ever notice how the portal is 3 obsidian tall - the hight of an Endermen? This is by far the biggest point. This is the reason why portals are 3 high. It also bring up the Far-lands (which are sadly missing form 1.8). Also evidence of them Being here first. I'll add onto this later; right now, we move on.

-The Begining, of the Begining

We can imply that the Endermen met the ones here before us (IE: Strongholds). I'm assuming that they were friendly for awhile. You know those Tunnels in the strongholds - I'm guessing those were Poral rooms. But no portals in there! But let's not get ahead of myself.

Back in the Nether, we have Nether strongholds. These were:
A. Made by the Ancestors.
B. Made by the Ancestors, and the Endermen.

I'm guessing "B".

But somthing must have gone wrong - there are no portals. I want to say there was a conflict between the two. The Ancestors must have saw them as "too dangerous." They asked them to leave put the wouldn't. So, a war erupted between the two. Obviously, the Ancestors lost, but right before (on both fronts), they destoryed all connections to the Nether. That's why there are no Endermen in the Nether anymore.

All of them are stuck in the Overworld, now with no way out. I'm assuming they're trying to Rebiuld a Portal to get back into the Nether.

You know what's funny, the fact that we have a suggestion forum. This is a suggestion thread, bro. This forum is meant for point out bugs and such; of which, this thread is doing none of.

It is not a bug they do nothing - it is because they are not finished - a placeholder, if you will.

And the "pre-release/beta" argument is valid. This is a test, and it's obvious. If this were full release, I know what you mean - this would be unacceptable. Then again, this isn't. This is for you to find bugs, and point them out. Not for you to ***** about "Y WE NO GET OPTION TO TURN OFF HUNGER?!?!?!"

This is not the full release - deal with it.
