    Quote from Mcdude123Nate

Not really when you have a half ass GPU that can barely run minecraft on my laptop screen.

Go into your Windows visual settings and find the button that sets everything so it's optimized for performance. It's not very pretty, but could be noticeably faster in general things like opening windows, though maybe not by that much.

    Also, nice.

posted a message on STAY AWAY FROM ADFL.LY
I -AM- using Adblock Plus and Norton (shut up), and some HTML5 ad or something sneaked past Adblock Plus and Norton popped up saying it blocked an attack on my computer.

LUCKILY, HOWEVER...there is a Greasemonkey/Chrome adf.ly bypass script called Deadf.ly that works with Firefox and Chrome and it automatically skips straight past adf.ly, eliminating the dangers of this. Do a search in the technology section here for "deadf.ly" and it will come up. Has done me wonders, not only am I protected from the risk of sneaky ads, I also don't have to wait 5 seconds.

Sounds like it might be some form of malware. Get the free version if a program called Malwarebytes' Anti-Malware and run a quick scan, and remove everything it finds.

NO. Not alienware, they are ripoffs, you'll never need anything larger than 8GB for any form of gaming, and that's reeeeaaalllyyy pushing it. Just build a desktop yourself, it should be under $600 and be perfectly suitable for hardcore gaming. The people here know what hardware you'd need for that.

Hmm, since my phone's camera isn't actually crap like a lot of phone cams are, it really brings out the creepyness. If you think you're up for it, give me some rep and I'll post a link to the pic :tongue.gif:

posted a message on Guys, it WILL be out for other devices. READ.
It's starting off exclusively for the PLAY, partially to advertise the PLAY, and partially to continue building anticipation for people who can't afford the outrageous plan prices of anything that isn't prepaid, but it is being ported to other Androids and iOS devices soon enough. Mojang is starting to get unfair like this, I wonder why.

Also, on the list of topics, the description for "Pocket edition" confirms this.

And again. why are we flaming so much? In The Shaft, one of the Mojang employees said they had recoded the game in C++ for portability. Notch had said back when the announcement for PE was made that it was being developed for Android and iOS.

posted a message on [16x] [1.6.6] altCraft [WIP]
    altCraft 1.4.5
    Created by the G33KINATORS

altCraft is a WIP texture pack collaboration between WinCamXP and CaptainIreland, and it is our first (and possibly only, unless we decide to make a 32x32 version AFTER we are DONE). Though still early in development, most (if not all) of the blocks are either complete from scratch or modified, with many items modified or unchanged and a small amount from scratch. The GUI is from scratch, and the mobs are mostly unchanged (except for the awesome zombie, courtesy of CaptainIreland.

When we are done with this texture pack, it is our goal to have EVERY texture made from SCRATCH. All default texture modifications are placeholders, but they will be used as concepts in many cases.

    BUGLIST:
Since this is a WIP, help us out by pointing out bugs. I'm aware of the armor and health half-point issue, that will be fixed in 1.5 along with more mob updates. If I'm correct, I think somehow the items may have gotten a pixel off...I'll have to check that. Also, I'm aware of the dark clouds. They'll be white-ified in 1.5!

This is certainly NOT yet another SimpleCraft, as you can see by looking at this.

    altCraft 1.4.5:

Some version slightly outdated, however still a great example of how great it looks:
