I want to let people know that optifine, at least when I wen to download it, is not safe. When I go to Optifine.net and go to downloads, it sends me to its adf.ly link, but when I press skip ad, it opens a new tab with the page in the image below. This page will not let you change tabs, or close your browser, or navigate from your browser without use of alt+tab to get back to your desktop and closing its process/task using task manager.
Can someone PLEASE post a screen cap showing me how the hell to make gold bricks.. I've been trying to figure it out for 3 hours... and its starting to frustrate me.. I understand you need a chisel.. now someone tell me how the heck to do it please.
thank you.
I posted this same topic yesterday.. re-downloading wont stop it... so either avast is stupid.. or Minecraft.net has malware infecting it and it's in the game download... I even added MC to the exceptions list and it still comes up.. I think Jeb and Notch need to kinda.. I dunno.. just REMOVE THAT URL from the launcher.
Okay.. you have to add the path of where ever you have minecraft.. for example.. mine is on my desktop.. so I had to add C:users/willtereika/desktop to the exceptions list. and it worked.. thanks guys for the help with this.. I was ready to go all "HULK SMASH" up on my laptop I was getting so frustrated.
It's just Avast being Avast. It's being awfully sensitive.
Add Minecraft to the exceptions list.
I have added Minecraft and the url to the exeptions list and it still detects it... >w< I checked Norton Safe web.. and it says that its fine.. but still.. I dont want to risk it as I REALLY cant afford to have my hard-drive wiped/restored... I have tweeted the problem to notch AND Jeb.. so maybe they can just remove that URL from the launcher and fix the issue.
Is anyone else out there having this issue..? Every time I run the launcher (I have tried re-downloading MC after deleting all minecraft things on my PC) Avast Antivirus immediately says that a URL in the launcher is infected/IS malware...
Anyone else having this issue..? Below is a screen cap of the alert.
