I was in a cave and the roof had some sand with also some sand walls. I put a torch on the wall and then all of a sudden sand poured all on my and suffocated me.
Sorry for your failure, but this is fairly well known.
The Halloween update caused many problems with the spawning rates, but was reverted this past week. The mob traps are still not working as they did pre-update though.
I've just started experience what appears to be a bug, but I couldn't find anything when I searched.
The bug is basically that when I place a painting on a wall, then remove a block from behind it (for a secret switch) upon reloading the save the painting stays on the wall for a few seconds, then falls off. I've tested it with different pictures and removing different numbers of blocks from behind them, but I still have the same problem.
Was something changed in the latest update, or am I doing something wrong?
I've tried using torches and ladders in the block slot where I remove the block, but the problem still occurs.
Essentially what I'm trying to do is I have two 2x1 paintings spaced a block apart with the bottom block of each one removed from behind the painting. If you throw a block into each of the hole you press down two pressure pads which them opens an iron door at the end of the room. All the redstone works, I just need to fix the painting problem.
Put a door behind it after you remove the blocks. This way, its covered, doesn't fall off and if you want it to, can be opened by redstone
That doesn't work with my current plan (which I know works because I have seen someone else do it)

He's probably hacking in materials, doesn't want everyone to make comments about using a 3rd party editor, but in reality only drew more attention to it by whiting it out.

I love how you make a thread saying you are sorry for making too many threads, and then link to another one of your threads saying "This is my new thread"
You have the most flawed logic I have ever experienced.

Have other people had the same problem with paintings falling off walls after the update?

Please let it die out.

You're out of luck, sorry.

Testing right now, I'll let you know how it goes.
EDIT: Tried both torches and ladders. Neither worked.

That's weird because it is clearly a reoccuring thing for me.
The save I'm playing on was started around June, do you think having an old save and transferring it to post-Halloween might have caused a problem?
