posted a message on I can't connect to Minecraft Realms at all

My friend made a Minecraft Realms server last night. Everyone else is able to connect to it just fine but whenever I try to the loading screen goes to "building terrain" and then instantly goes to a screen that says "Connection Lost, Disconnected". I've tried everything, but it keeps giving me that message. My computer is fine, I turned both my firewall and anti-virus off, I've closed unnecessary apps, the world file is under 500kb, and my internet is fine. There's literally no reason this should be happening.

I tried again today. A different friend made a different realm just to see if the problem was on the original friend's end. We tried it again and it still didn't work. Same error. It's obviously on my side but there's no reason why it should be doing this.

I downloaded this and opened the .jar file. However, when it opened, it gave me a message telling me that I didn't have Minecraft installed. Obviously, I do. Anyway to fix this?

Ok. If you know any other people who would like to try then go ahead, since it is a multiplayer map.

posted a message on Need Beta Testers for my Map
So, I made a PvP map and I'm looking for some people to beta test it. It is a team-based strategy game. Basically, there are two identical bases made of obsidian with chests on chests of supplies and weapons. The players are encouraged to build and expand their base while trying to protect their Victory Lever, which when pulled by the enemy, ends the game. Now, I need at least 8 and at most 24 beta testers to test the map. Please either post here or message me. Thanks.

I opened the crash report notepad file and simply copied what was in there. Anyway, I just tried to play Minecraft and it crashed before I got to the main menu. Here's what I hope is the full crash report:

posted a message on Performance Issues with 13w41a
So, I downloaded the newest snapshot with the launcher, and started playing. I immediately noticed that my game was lagging terribly. I turned all of the video settings down to their lowest settings, but I still not getting anywhere above 5 frames. Now, I'll admit that my computer is not the best. However, in all of the other releases, and even the other snapshots, it has performed well. This is the first time this has happned since I got a new computer. Do you think this is a bug, or is it the new features putting a burden on the system?

I have a similar problem with mine. I transformed a surface dungeon into a farm, where I blocked off every hole in the dungeon and filled the whole thing with water, hoping to drown the skeletons. Do I need a different design or is it similar to OP's problem?

I hide mine in a server with an anti-grief plugin. More seriously though, I once made an obsidian bunker and hid my diamonds under a random block inside it.

posted a message on Minecraft and .minecraft Aren't Connected?
I used it on a world then created a world. I'm not sure how many worlds I had, I think just the one I operated on with MCE. However, would MCE disrupt connection between the game and the disc location? Among other things, I can't get mods to work, screenshots I take aren't saved, and world files I place in my saves folder don't appear in the game.

posted a message on Minecraft and .minecraft Aren't Connected?
So, a few days ago, I downloaded and started using MCEdit on my worlds. When I closed it and booted up MC again, all of my worlds were deleted. I also can't download worlds because my saves folder still shows I have all of my worlds. The only mod I had at the time was TMI. I deleted minecraft and redownloaded it, but it still doesn't work. This has happened to me before, but that was on my Win7 computer, which had the Previous Versions option in the properties. Win8, which is on my new computer, doesn't have it, so I can't revert my .minecraft to a state before the data wipe. I tried to get an older .minecraft from my old computer, but nothing works. Can someone help?
