If you downloaded the mod in the last 45 min pls redownload. there was a minor issue with trees not spawning which has been fixed.
As always, changelog is on the site.
Downloaded twice in the last hour and a half, rebuilt my .minecraft and server files twice. Still no trees besides a jungle... So just a little irritated that I should choose to try this mod out today. The filesize had changed between the two downloads, but the issue seems to have remained.
Congrats on the SMP release though, quite excited... but no trees is more hardcore a mode in TFCraft than I wanted to play
By this does he/you mean spawning at all or spawning after trying to replant? Or both?
Not spawning at worldgen.
[Edit] Just my luck the first world I spawn after the fixed patch is a tiny jungle, and the most enormous set of plains and hills I have ever seen. The lack of these fabled new trees disturbed my confidence. All is well now; I am excited to start exploring the mod
Does anyone notice sounds playing twice? Like the nearby cave sound playing two different sounds, one zombie making two different moans at once, or their slamming the door being super loud? This only happens with this mod installed. I remember iChun having similar sound issues when he first introduced see through portals so it makes me think it has to do with the second render invoked for the portals in this mod. You might talk to iChun about that, Azanor; he was able to fix it in the portal gun mod. Just thought I would point that out.
okey this my sound noobish but i got a black screen after i instaled all the mods and i get this in modloader .txt

I get this error in my modloader.txt that doesn't seem to be an error when i open my inventory and i don't get an error report (the blue screen with minecraft on top)
If you crash on inventory opening, it's likely related to NEI. If you're using Convenient Cnventory, make sure you install NEI into the jar after Convenient Inventory. Besides that, I am not sure what it would be.

1. Please use spoiler tags next time you post an error log, example is in my sig. Thank you :smile.gif:
2. I hope from what I removed from your quote above, it's obvious what you didn't install.
i have a problem with redpower. when direwolf made his watermill plant i followed it exactly how he does everything is the same but the deployer does not pick up water bucket. when i trough a water bucket in the pipes it works fine and puts the empty Bucket back it the deployer. can some one help me
also how do you sort your alchemy chests. it wouldnt let me
thanks
Is it receiving redstone? Is the transposer set to take water buckets and not empty buckets like Direwolf's mistake? Is the water source a proper infinite spring? Maybe upload a screen or two somewhere if these questions don't lead you to your mistake.
Also the sorting is middle clicking with convenient inventory, and it should work with alchemy chests yes.

So, I corrected the duplicates, added silicon, and realized I had buildcraft 2.2.1.2 instead of 3.1.3
now this is the error I get. I am starting to think that mods are not for me even though I really like what Direwolf is doing. Any help is greatly appreciated, and thank you in advance!

Don't get discouraged, anyone of us here started with a bumpy start too. Just be patient and learn what you can and you'll get the hang of it. Make sure that you have Forge version 1.3.1, not 1.3.2. If you have the wrong version installed, yes, I am afraid you will have to do the minecraft.jar part of the install over again.

I literally just had the same error using forge version 1.3.2.0. Using a fresh new minecraft.jar, I installed everything and used forge v1.3.1 and the problem was solved.
Blame Direwolf cause he didn't make a modpack so it can be easy for every lazy person out there. Blame him because most of the mod authors don't allow their mods to be included in modpacks. Blame him for not just making a mod pack anyways, taking what little compensation the mod authors get for all the hard work they put into their mods that they give to you for free. Blame him for posting a step by step guide on youtube to make it easy for you, and for posting his config files which would fix the most common errors you would have.
Spend your time making silly achievement pictures that hardly make sense. Don't post some information about your problem so that someone might come along, recognize your problem, and help you fix it so that you can have fun along with us.
[/sarcasm]
Guess what? Modding isn't easy! Neither is real life! At least modding your minecraft is free! Stop doing useless stuff like this and post some information so we can help you just get to having fun. And by the way getting our help is free too!

Thank you for using spoiler tags to post error logs in the future (see my sig if you don't know how). You probably have the wrong version of forge. Please make sure it is the current version (1.3.2.0).
{EDIT} Sorry I am incorrect. If you are using the mod versions which he uses in the video, you need to make sure you get the old version 1.3.1.0. If you download the newest versions of all the mods, the newest version of Forge will do though. The same configs dire posted will still work with the newest versions.

Yes, i do have audio mod.....
When you install audiomod on a mac, you need to make sure you merge folders that you put into minecraft.jar. By default it replaces all the vanilla minecraft paulscode folder instead. I am not sure the exact steps to do this myself though.
I have an idea for this, Chest Merging. With this it would allow the chests to be merged into double chests, using 2 different kinds of chests and it would add together the amount of space, and if it gets too much for the screen to handle it would add Pages to the chest, and have double chests of the same kinds too (Hurr. I dunno why I added that.)
Actually the really nice thing about these is that they don't merge, meaning you can place several in a row and have lots of inventory space in very little block space. Also helps in keeping things organized.
Respect for your awesome work CPW, love what you've done with this.
Jeb claims the API is their #1 priority right now. For all we know, they could be working on it and wait to release the jungles and the API together.
As for critical API features, I'm guessing a system would (should) be included in which mod authors request IDs (like DHCP) instead of picking some they hope don't conflict.
If he said that, presumably it means now that they are done with jungles, barring any bugfixes for them. Something like automatic assignment would be the easiest way, yes, but what if you want to share your world with someone else with the same mods but who's IDs have been assigned differently? Perhaps worlds will come with a file that keeps block ID information. I think changing the IDs at runtime like that would necessitate some serious changes to the minecraft base code though.
must be a full time for you to be doing this helping noobs thing
lol
have no clue what "hayo" means either
I just enjoy helping people enjoy Minecraft as I do. Everything I tell people is something I have discovered myself while modding and it's a nice way to kill a half an hour a day. It's good for my brain and communication skills too :tongue.gif:
Hayo! is probably just a silly catchphrase, poking fun at advertising cliches.
Hey direwolf20, could you give us a folder with all of the mods that you use? Just for the people who read your list and go into total confusion. It's not that i'm a Minecraft mod noob or anything... it's just, my ability to comprehend stuff is very low do to my ADD (Attention Deficit Disorder, not Addition).
Unfortunately if we can't get permission of the mod authors to put them into a pack, it would be illegal to do so. And people have tried and can't get permission from some authors. Direwolf has done the most he can to make it easy to install everything, even giving you config files with compatible block IDs set up for you. Unfortunately this is the best way it can be done without burning bridges with the mod authors.
The file is Redpower.cfg, and if you opened it in MS Notepad, you WILL screw it up as MS Notepad does NOT handle line ends and carriage returns used in the file. Wordpad, Notepad++ (different to MS Notepad), Open/Libre Office or MS Word are better choices for editing the Redpower.cfg file.
The easier way is to delete the file and run Minecraft again to let the file auto-gen again (when installing mods, it's best to leave RedPower as the LAST mod you install initially).
If you're careful and pay attention, you can fix it with notepad without screwing anything up. But I imagine any of those alternatives will work fine as long as they don't add their own invalid characters as most word processors do.
It's actually something specific to the way Minecraft works, not java, and if you want to have modded content added to your game, there are a few things to know to help it make more sense. Everything in Minecraft is given an ID that must be unique to that thing. Everything that can exist in the world, such as dirt, stone, fire, air, furnaces, ores, and any other "blocks," have to have an ID of 255 or lower. Items, such as tools, monster drops, diamonds, and more, can be any ID from 256 to virtually infinity.
When you add mods, they usually add their own blocks and items. But since block IDs are limited, two mods might give the same ID to their own blocks. It would be a pain for mod authors to go through all the mods out there and find IDs which nobody uses (and there probably aren't any by now.) If two items or blocks have the same ID, that's a conflict, and mod authors usually let you change IDs in config files, knowing you will likely have this problem when you use multiple mods.
Some, like eloraam who wrote RedPower, have set up so their mods to automatically set their IDs around what's already used. It seems nice but until everyone successfully adopts the same thing, it's a double edged sword. We can't predict where it will assign it's IDs, so you get unexpected conflicts when it fails to do so correctly. On the positive side, since your conflict is with RedPower, all you have to do is delete the redpower.cfg so that it's autoassigner can correctly find open IDs among the mods which only assign defaults.
Sorry for the wall of text, but I hope this helps you understand modding minecraft better and removes some of your potential frustration in your modding future.

Revert to Forge 1.3.1, 1.3.2.0 is broken at the moment
Your error wasn't too long so it's not so bad, but how to spoiler is in my sig. Are you using the beta 3.2 version of Advanced Machines?

Missing Buildcraft Core.
1. Please use spoiler tags next time as shown in my signature. Thank you :smile.gif:
2. See this post and grab the latest beta version of Forge from his link
http://www.mod-buildcraft.com/forums/topic/major-version-mismatch/#post-10073
This should fix the problem.
If you crash on inventory opening, it's likely related to NEI. If you're using Convenient Cnventory, make sure you install NEI into the jar after Convenient Inventory. Besides that, I am not sure what it would be.
See my answer for redpwns two quotes above yours.
1. Please use spoiler tags next time you post an error log, example is in my sig. Thank you :smile.gif:
2. I hope from what I removed from your quote above, it's obvious what you didn't install.
1. Next time you post an error log, please use spoiler tags as shown in my sig. Thank you :smile.gif:
2.This is a block ID conflict. Are you using Dire's downloadable config files to help sort out ID conflicts?

Please use spoiler tags for your error logs in the future (see my sig). You installed an SMP addon for wireless redstone instead of wireless redstone itself, look under the downloads section in the wireless redstone thread, not the addons section.
Thank you for using spoiler tags to hide your error logs in the future (see my sig). You have duplicates of several mods in your mods folder. I have bolded them in the spoiler above. You're also missing buildcraft silicon.
List tags are malformed.

You're missing Forge.
More info about when this error occurs please.
Error logs or it didn't happen. Modloader.txt, and/or minecraft's displayed error log.
v2 no longer uses substance, but enderpearls in place of them.
Stop posting every 5 minutes. Wait patiently until someone answers your question. The answer is in iChun's first post, go look there.

When you install audiomod on a mac, you need to make sure you merge folders that you put into minecraft.jar. By default it replaces all the vanilla minecraft paulscode folder instead. I am not sure the exact steps to do this myself though.

Actually the really nice thing about these is that they don't merge, meaning you can place several in a row and have lots of inventory space in very little block space. Also helps in keeping things organized.
Respect for your awesome work CPW, love what you've done with this.

It begins again... XD Looking forward to it! Video looks good, and hopefully the config files will help to quiet this thread down a bit :tongue.gif:

If he said that, presumably it means now that they are done with jungles, barring any bugfixes for them. Something like automatic assignment would be the easiest way, yes, but what if you want to share your world with someone else with the same mods but who's IDs have been assigned differently? Perhaps worlds will come with a file that keeps block ID information. I think changing the IDs at runtime like that would necessitate some serious changes to the minecraft base code though.
Either that, or the shielding modules should be pretty expensive, and destroyed if the reactor goes up.
