Any information about the actual server itself? Is it survival? Creative? Pvp arenas? Something else?

It's very possible that that could be the case. Anyways, now you can claim you had beta-testers :)

why don't slime balls give slowness debuff?
It could deal less damage but work like a splash potion, I think that would be cool

Do you mean thrown slimeballs or a new splash potion with slimeballs as an ingredient?
If you mean thrown slimeballs, I considered that, but thought it would be slightly OP, and would make splash potions of slowness slightly redundant (after all, why not just use slimeballs, as you can even damage mobs that way).

I like idea number one, however I will probably go to the nether before I find slimes

Oh yeah, in 1.4 slimes spawn in the jungle. Sorry about that.

I like idea number two, alot. Slimeballs are not rare, but not common, and this would be an excellent PVP tool

I like idea number three, as you'd expect slimeballs to be ingredients of potions.

Edit: Sir, you have just earned +1. Congrats.

Thank you very much, kind sir. I'm just wondering what you think of the first suggestion. Do you like it or not?

As many people know, slimeballs are currently not very useful. In fact they really only have two uses- Sticky Pistons and Magma Cream, and most people find killing Magma Cubes is an easier way to get Magma cream. Thus, I think that there should be more uses for slimeballs.

    New added uses:

Part 1 (What we can do without adding blocks)
    1. Make Soulsand

This isn't the most useful of all the suggestions, but it makes sense to be able to make soulsand out of slimeballs, zombieflesh and sand, in the following pattern:

    = 2 soulsand
(Zombie Flesh Idea courtesy of Gurkudrengur)
(Lower amounts of soulsand idea courtesy of The_Creepers_Friend)
(Image and final recipe courtesy of Jassycats)

    2. Throwing option

Slimeballs should also be throwable, much like snowballs. Like snowballs, they wouldn't do much except for push back mobs/players. However, throwing one at a Magma Cube or Slime will heal them, while throwing them at boss mobs will damage them (at the minimal damage an arrow does). This would allow an easily spammable, but not over-powered weapon for people to use against the Enderdragon/Wither. However, like arrows, slimeballs would not work against the Wither once it gets beneath half health.

    NOTE:
    a. Many people think that there should be a temporary slowing effect when thrown. What do you think? Comment below, please!
    b. Should slimeballs be able to do damage through brewing or other means? Please comment below on this, if you have an opinion.

    3. Potions of Slowness

There are several potions that players are currently not able to legitly obtain, one of them being Mining Fatigue. I think that slimeballs would be a suitable ingredient for brewing a potion of Mining Fatigue, as they give out a feeling of "slowness" to me.

    4. Spawner Takedown

Right now (especially on adventure maps), spawners are a big challenge for players to take down. Why not be able to use slimeballs to slowdown the rate of spawning? If say, the amount of time between each spawning is 6 seconds, then the slimeball would reduce the spawn time to 12 seconds (note that the numbers are made up). However, this would only apply for 3-5 spawn cycles (not sure how many it should be exactly).

    5. (NEW!) Anti-bonemeal

What if there was a way to stunt growth for plant growth? This would give potential for griefers to cause havoc among farms, but the upside to this would be that one would have a chance of a double harvest in the end (as in 2 wheat, 2 pumpkins etc...). This would allow people who don't have the time to visit their crops as often to get more out of their time, as they could spend the longer growth time doing other activities, and then come back and obtain more resources than they would have.

Part 2, (New blocks and stuff)

    1. Rubber!
    -WIP- and open to suggestions!

This great idea came from ZonbiTara, and would involve smelting slimeballs to obtain a rubber item. Uses would include making a trampoline (basically a block that, when one jumps on them, lets one jump two blocks high). This would be a simple way to allow one to reach otherwise inaccessible places.
A slimed version (or default, I've not decided), would only give the higher jump when there is a redstone current.

    2. Sticky blocks
    -WIP- and open to suggestions!

A novel concept combining ideas by Fireheart0011 and tonytwo, sticky blocks would allow blocks to gain some sticky characteristics. For example, craft a slimeball and sand to get 1 block of sticky sand (which wouldn't be affected by gravity). The same would go with gravel.

    EFFECTS:

Sand/Gravel: Sticky sand/gravel is not affected by gravity, with only slight difference in look! However, when a redstone current is run to the sticky sand/gravel, it becomes a normal block, giving it use in traps and other mechanisms.
Noteblock: Adds a muffling sound effect over all notes played, giving notes a new sound.
Fireworks: Adds a new effect (particles remain seen for longer)
Bedrock: Lessens void fog in the surrounding 5x5 area, centered on the slimed block.

Any suggestions for more blocks to be slimed? Add in your ideas!

    3. Slimeblock and Glue
    -WIP- and open to suggestions!

The slimeblock would be crafted from 9 slimeballs, and would freeze any player who enters it for several seconds, and it would also apply the "Nausea" effect. This would be a decent trap and deterrence against griefers.
When shift-clicked onto a block, the slimeblock works like conventional glue, and would allow the next placed block touching that surface to stick to the block. To remove the glue, one would simply mine one of the blocks, breaking the glueing effect. The practical applications of this would include saving on pistons, more compact redstone designs, movable structures (such as statues or even houses) etc.

I just have a question- what's the purpose of automatic skin? For servers? People don't normally run around in third-person mode, just saying. Even if it was for servers, what would keep each person's skin unique?

    Re-submitting definition of Power-Gaming:
What is Powergaming? Powergaming is also acting in a way that a character usually wouldn't in order to achieve a specific goal. This is kind of like Min/Maxing, and it usually sacrifices other elements that make a game fun, such as role-playing. It means not just going out of character, but also building a character (training stats or doing something similar) and using a character (by attacking random innocents on a street, for example) in a way that is not in theme.

    IGN: Werds1

    Age: 23

Role-PlayExp.: Not much, I've done a few casual RPs here and there.

WhyUs: This server seems awesome, and I'm interesting in trying out the Role-Play genre for sure, while not being a completely different character (like an alien or something similar).

TimeYouCanDedicate: 1 to 2 hours a day, more on weekends, sometimes less if I'm busy.

Have you played Assassin's Creed? Only on a friend's console, not much other than that. I believe it was Assassin's Creed II. However, my friends talk about it quite a bit, so I know the backstory and random stuff about it.

IC (I'm using Modern English, but if you want me to use older English or even Italian, please say)

    Name: Letholdus Le Doulcet

    Gender: Male

    Age: Approximately 32

Fears: The Nobles, but not much else other than that. However I am protective of my family, and do not with for them to come to harm.

Personality: I am loyal to those whom I believe in, but am skeptical of all else. However, I am rather naive in the political world, having been from a peasant background (although I am one of the few of the peasantry who got an education). I am also cautious but thoughtful.

Skills: Blending in with the background, not being noticed. I am also able to memorize large amounts of contents, as well as move efficiently and silently.

    Nickname (Optional): None.

    RP Example (Add Dialogue):

The wind howled across the empty night streets, devoid of all life. I silently crept through the town gate, sneaking past a bored, urinating guard. I hid a smirk and crossed into the city of Paris, anxious to meet my family.
"Hey.. yeoman, who just snuck past Ralph", a voice rang out behind me.
I spun around, drawing a dagger, and saw the face of the Captain of the Guard.
"Sir.. Sorry sir", I whispered, voicing quivering, as I sheathed my dagger, "I didn't realize that you were around, sir!"
A sinister smile spread across his face as he stepped towards me, hands reaching into his pockets. Large thick beads of sweat pored down from my dirty face as I watched, horrified. His right hand darted into one of his numerous pockets, and brought out a sack. It jingled softly in the night, a sound that any beggar or poor man knew instinctively. Money.

"You want this gold, son?", the Captain softly breathed, his foul breath clogging my nose.
I nodded dumbly, unsure what to make of the situation.

"Well then, I got a job for you. If you'll just kill somebody for me, this sack will be yours." The voice, so harsh, rang in my ears, as I contemplated the situation. My family was out of bread, and we scarcely had any other food. I stared at him for a second, unsure of myself. I'd never taken a job for the underground before, much less killed someone. I shuddered at the thought. But my family. My kin. The only people I knew. They were at stake. I drew a deep breath and spoke.
"Sir, who do you want me to kill?"

Skin (Link, picture, description): I'm currently using a self-made futuristic skin, but will probably switch to something more RP like when going on the server, such as http://www.minecraft...075/adventurer/ (unless you want a custom made skin).

Backstory (1-2 LONG paragraphs): Coming from a relatively well-off peasant family in mountainous France, I really had no reason to leave my home country. During the first few years of my life, I was one of the lucky few in the region to be educated, a twist of fate that came by a fallen, but nonetheless caring, Duke. However, when I was 20, my drunk father went on a rampage, killing several fellow villagers over a disagreement. Our whole family facing execution, I led them out of the region through a secret means that I had learned (as most of the mountain passes were blocked off or patrolled). I left them at the great city of Paris, to seek a living for myself, and after several years wandering as hired arm, now find myself here in Italy.

While I have spent time as a mercenary, and am capable in combat, my experience with cities, particularly the upper-class, has been minimal. I eventually hope to earn enough money to buy a sizable house for my family, and work as a craftsman or teacher, some safer job. However, I know that this will probably not be in my future, as my talents lie elsewhere.

What is Roleplay? Roleplay is the act of impersonating another for the purposes of leisure, and not deceit. To roleplay is usually to stick to a character and act as he/she/it would, and not as the person roleplaying usually would.

What is Metagaming? Metagaming is using outside information about a game to take advantage of it, by using information that a character would usually not know.

What is Powergaming? Powergaming is also acting in a way that a character usually wouldn't in order to achieve a specific goal. This is kind of like Min/Maxing, and it usually sacrifices other elements that make a game fun, such as role-playing.

    What is Assassin'
s Creed? Assassin's creed is a game set in an alternate universe, where there are secret sects of people, such as Assassins. To make a long story short, Assassins are trying to recover some ancient items, which the Templars are also trying to get. Assassins go back in time through the use of animus, and try to make the world better. When they return to their time, they gain some skills in the process.

EDIT: Will Spoutcraft require a clientside-mod or something else entirely?

I would, but could you describe what we get if not world edit? Creative mode? Fly-hax and supply chests? Survival mode? Adventure Mode???? In all honesty, how is World Edit something lazy people really on? It's called being efficient. I'm pretty sure if you used World-Edit on some of your larger, simpler shapes, figures etc., you would be much faster done. Furthermore, what do you have against World Edit? What about Voxel-Sniper, World painter, MCEdit, all those other map editing tools?
Also, what time would you guys be on? If Skype is necessary and you guys are not on 24/7, and we are not on at the same time, requiring Skype would be useless.
