In my opinion, peaceful is supposed to be played without need to worry about health. Large drops and lava is easy enough to avoid if you're careful, but hunger can get you whenever you're unprepared. If a newbie at minecraft died from hunger because he didn't know what a sword was and couldn't figure out how to to kill the pig after hitting it a few times, it would not only be sad for him, but for the community. Peaceful was designed to be a mode where you could just relax and watch the sunset without worrying about starving to death.
I'm 13 too! Either way, this story is shaping up quite nicely, and I think you have some pretty good potential. Do you hack in items and stuff for your screenshots, or did you incorporate this into your normal world? Because if you did this as part of your normal world, with enough people, you could probably make a video version of this and post it on Youtube.
How would you attack? Also aggressive mobs in the sunlight that are not burning is slightly suspicious. A chicken in the middle of a base without grass is slightly suspicious as well. People also usually kill passive mobs they meet, for the drops. However, the overall idea is good.
Depending on how long the world has been on, I just dump everything into one chest, have chests for blocks and items, or split into "Every block and item gets it's own chest".
30 Days as well, although if you locked yourself in a small obsidian hut that's well lighted, and contains a small farm you would probably be able to survive indefinitely.
