CC for MC 1.8.1 is out now in a test version. Robinton posted a link on the previous page. I think CC is a big enough project to keep him busy you know. I think his other mods are just on a lower priority scale :wink.gif:
So I got curious and I decided to do a little test regarding this patch and a few of the mods out there. This was instigated because I noticed a couple of mods changed there wording a bit.
Here's what I saw: Optifine is now compatible with Minecraft Forge. Because Forge is required for such mods as Industrial Craft and what not, I figured I would check to see if with the help of this patch I couldn't have fancy water in my Industrial Craft + BuildCraft World.
My findings: As long as you install everything in the right order this patch lets you use Water Shader and Forge together, and going a step further IC and BC didn't cause any problems when I added them into the mix. Or I should say they didn't cause me any game play problems. It seems that the oil from BC uses code connected to the way water renders, meaning that oil becomes transparent and wavy like water. Yet when the fancy graphics are turned off... the oil stays fancy while the water returns to normal. Hey though, that's nothing really to do with this patch, and a small price to pay to be able to have fancy water in an Industrial Craft + Build Craft World.
Hey, how did you get the water shader to work with forge and it's mod? I tried if and it totally broke my game.
I haven't got the courage to read through 100 pages so anyway generous enough to answer a few questions quickly?
First, what is auto-climb mentioned above? Is it something similar to /longerlegs in Singleplayer commands?
And second, how does world generation and ore generation work? Will I only find diamond at y -20000 and below? That will require a "bit" more diggy diggy :biggrin.gif:
I don't know if it has been mentioned already but the leaves of the big trees generated by SeasonCraftory appear in grey on Rei's Minimap. Is it fixable?
I'm glad you chose to work with Forge. I think it will still be used after Minecraft is released next month, unless their API will do the same thing as Forge but I doubt it.
When you talk about increasing the number of blocks ID, does it includes the sprites ID?
When do you thing 1.8.1 version of Cubic Chunks will be out?
Any chance of making this mod for Minecraft Forge? Minecraft final version is coming soon and my guess is that all serious mods will work with forge, making them all compatible with each other :smile.gif:
@ Welka1982 - i mostly updated that mod for myself, and i have mcpatcher + bettergrass installed so thats what i updated the mod for.
to get it working with no grey sides, use mcpatcher check bettergrass, and load modloader into mcpatcher. this lets bettergrass work with modloader installed. as for all the options in the properties i have all set to true and didn't test with false as i like all of them. as for betterwood it worked for me i believe the little i tested of that.
Thans for coming back to me, it's much appreciated. What do you mean by "load ModLoader into MCPAtcher"? Do you mean run MCPatcher with BetterGrass checked and then install ModLoader?

This could also be applied to dirt, water, air? and lava. Even they only 2x2 or 3x3 megablocks. I suppose it would still save some memory.
