    MrShellhed12, haters will hate. I can't fault Forge. Minecraft full version isn't even out yet and you expect API to be perfect or have no downside. Don't forget all these mods and API are made by Minecraft enthousiasts using their own free time to do it. I can only thank them for that.

If you're not interested in ever planting turnips, beets, or grapes, just turn them off! The seeds won't drop from the grass either. =)


    Hopefully in the (near) future, we will be able to use forge and its mod alongside Robinton's CubicChunks and/or Extended IDs mods. He's working on extending the block IDs to 4096 which whould be more than enough. I don't know about sprite IDs. From that day onwards, we won't have to worry about the amount of ID's we have left.

    Alternatively, we can also hope Smith_61 updates his ExtendedMinecraft mod.

    Now, regarding the duplicated ores, I've no doubt it is something being worked on already. The forestry mod is a good example and since I'm not the only one annoyed with having 3 types of copper or 3 types of steel.
    However, if Elooram "only" works on combining ores of the same type/name, it might not reach its goal properly since the names may vary slightly even for the same ore/ingot. If he achieves it, great. If not, the other solution would be someone coming up with a GUI allowing you to tell the game to combine ores/ingot into one. I don't know If I say it right. For example, I'd like to be able to tell my game that My coppers ID 001, ID002 and ID003 should combine into one unique ore with the ID001. Same for the ingots. It would also have to tell the 3 differnts mods to use that unique ID. Just trying to say that a mod doing that automatically like the one Elooram is trying to develop might be a bit tricky.

    Also, just a quicky about your earthcraft ores. I started playing with your mod yesterday and I was surprised how quickly my silver pickaxe got used. I mean, I digged only 10 or 15 blocks max and it was gone. Is it normal ?

    They requested a forge compatible version for a good reason; drop the zip in your mod folder and play... How more simple do you want it?

    Oh, I forgot. It's compatible with ANY other forge mod and they work great together. Pam's mods, BTW, IC2, BuildCraft and all their add-on just work great together.

    The only complaint I have is the doubling of ores (in my copy of Minecraft, I have 3 types of copper) but that's down to the modders, not Forge. A mod like Forestry uses IC2 bronze to build machinery. If IC2 isn't installed, then the mod will implement bronze in the game. But you don't get 2 different bronzes in your game. Most mod should use this "smart" ores addition.

    PS: If MatrexsVigil reads me, I love Pam's Mods but Harvest Craft use way too much block IDs (30) and I had to do without it in order to have the other mods I wanted :sad.gif:

    Don't be so harsh on Forge. I can play with twice as many mods thanks to Forge that I can dream about without it.

    Ok, I fixed. I simply deleted the 2 config files of ID resolver so it started assigning IDs from scratch and it took your mod into account. I can now you Dynamo and Motor. Thanks for your help :smile.gif:

    Could someone also explain where you get those java crash reports. I've no idea where to get them and it bugs me not to be able to post them when I come across bugs.

    I install ModLoader, Forge 1.1.2 then CC Test 3 and all I get is a black screen after logging in. No crash report, nothing :sad.gif:

    ID Resolver doesn't even appear to tell me there's a conflict. Minecraft just shuts down. The thing is that ID resolver doesn't tell you what ID's are left and I only have 9 left ^^
    I looked in the forums if there's a way to know what IDs aren't being used but didn't find anything.

    It's no big deal, I can do without your mod but the thing is I'd love to use it. I think you had a brilliant idea to make the junction between BTW and industrial craft.

    You're mod is still new and has a big future ahead. I'm sure you'll figure out how to make it compatible with ID Resolver. I've come across a few other mods like that where ID resolver doesn't kick in.
