I take everything nice I said before about BTW. Every time I wanna craft something simple, I realise I need another tool/machine to craft it, which requires itself another machine... Sooo frustrating :biggrin.gif:

I read that. I missed the part where it says the hopper breaks at the 8th dust but I do remember the part about the "cuddly friend". I admit I had something else in mind for the cuddly friend than a Ghast :biggrin.gif:
What about the rinds. What are they?

Alright maybe I just suck at this, but surely there's an easier way to power three saws in a row?
EDIT: Also I hear passive mob spawning changed in 1.8? That might explain why I can't get any passive mobs to spawn in my mob trap. Any good solutions for farming leather/feathers etc?
God, this is way too complicated. You can power all 3 saws with only one line of mechanical power and seperate the power only at the end of the line into your 3 saws. You don;t need 3 seperate power lines. Gearbox are multidirectional and can be split.
For feather, you can can run a chicken farm, that's easy enough but the hard bit is to get it started. You need 1 chicken locked in a fence and wait for it to lay eggs. Through the eggs on the floor and hope for new chickens to spawn. Rinse and repeat until you get at least 50 (or more) of them. You'll need a LOT of patience for that since you get an average of 1 chicken for 8 thrown eggs.
Finally, for leather I don't have a solution without installing another mod. Equivalent Exchange allows me to transmute raw material such as feather or wool into leather and I also have Mo' Creatures which spawns agressive wolves that give you leather when you kill them.
Hope it helps

Thanks man! Glad you're enjoying the incremental approach I've been taking with the design of the mod!
I'm not a fan of huge jumps in tech either.
I agree with you in the fact that when you run IC2/BC on their own, the different between the vanilla gameplay and the new tech gameplay is a huge leap. I use IC2/BC along with BTW and I like it makes the link between the vanilla gameplay and and the industrial one, introducing "low tech" before and along with the high tech. In addition, BTW has some essential machines/items that these hich tech mods don't have or need, but that makes the gameplay so much deeper.
I love BTW and how hard it is to craft the items since most of them are relying on the crafting of another one, which needs another one, so on and so forth...
However, I will allow myself a little moan ^^ The wiki needs a bit of updating/cleaning up. In 2.99 you've added the wolves rinds. I didn't find a bit of info about it, what it is and what it does. And there's nothing on the wiki about it. I might have missed the info on the OP but I've read it a few times and didn't see anything about. I'm french, so I've no clue what wolves rinds are ^^
Also, I was filtering ground netherrack for the first time the other night in order to get concentrated hellfire and soul urns. The wiki doesn't mention anything about the hopper exploding at the 8th ground netherrack you filter and a ghast spawn in your face when it happens. That scared the hell out of me !! lol.
Altogether, BTW is beautiful mod and I love playing with it.

No. Recipes allowing flowers/gems to be used with my other mods (flowers with wood, etc) will be coming in 1.9
I don't have flowers/gems turning into dyes because it doesn't make sense for a flower to become an inc sac or a gem to become cooked cactus. xD
I agree, it doesn't. However, there are two ways around it. To create dyes, you could grind the gems and the flower into corresponding colored powders, craft them with a bucket of water and bonemeal (or without the bonemeal if you consider it's too hard to find) and there you go, you have your dye. For the black ink, add some paper into the recipe to make it more realistic and simulate the sack.
For users like me who play with Better Than Wolves, you could make it so you have to use the mill to grind the gems/flowers in order to get the colored powders.
Just some ideas :smile.gif:

That shouldn't be a problem. I wish I had a wolf handy to test it. You don't have any other wolf related mods installed? Then again, if there was a conflict, your wolves wouldn't produce dung at all...
I have doggy talents but they're supposed to be compatible. I've been waiting 2 minecraft days now and they havent produced any dung :sad.gif:
