I decided to start a post where I will post animations I have or am working on. I work with Blender for my 3d work, it is a free program so if anyone is interested in learning 3d it is a great software to start with.
This is the latest one I have completed. It is a short intro for SlgZero's youtube channel.
This one has been a project that has been on hold for several months. I am going to be starting up on it again soon.

Hey! I'm new to the forums and really looking for a new profile picture, my current picture is my old skin. I made this skin a couple minutes ago XD anyways please pose it like this: Facial Expression: Smirking! Pose: Holding two swords with arms crossed. Thanks! Also, just wondering what program do you use to pose the skins?http://imgur.com/MUwewgb
Welcome to the forums
As Elias2012 said, I use Blender for my 3d work and requests in my shop are paid only. If you would like to request use the application in my original post. If you wanted a free request there are several other shops that could provide you with a new profile image.

Really like those skin/characters The blue character gif is really cool!
Thanks, I was happy with how it came out as well.

Hey, what rig do ya use?
I created my own rig for this. It is the starting point of all my character renders. For the eyes and mouth expressions I make them individually since not all the skin face layouts are the same.

I would truely appreciate video tutorials, I too am trying to achieve my goal of being a graphic designer and I would like to merge my 2 passions, minecraft and graphicc designing!
I am planning to do some small tutorials in the future once I start making videos more regularly on my youtube channel. Good luck with your pursuit at being a graphic designer.
Dec 9, 2013A few more graphics and images I have done for my clients.Posted in: Other Fan Art
Created in illustrator, was my first attempt at an image in this style. Was happy with the outcome.
A banner for a server's website that I made completely in blender.
I have a lot of these character renders, but I liked how this one came out. It is very subtle with the glowing lava, but it adds a lot to it.

How did you learn!!!!! I want to be an animator but blender is hard.
Been using it off and on for the past 5 years. Blender can be intimidating at first, but there are plenty of free tutorials out there to help you out. For animating, it is not an easy task. There is a lot of work involved in order to get a good looking short clip. It takes a lot of patience and passion to do it, but it is worth it in the end.
A couple sites that helped me start out are Blender Guru and CG Cookie. They have a lot of good information for beginners to advanced users.
Dec 6, 2013Posted in: Art ShopsQuote from elias2012Hey man. Awesome work. I just got blender but all the rigs i've tried SUCK!!!!!! What rig do you use?
This rig is one I made myself. I haven't tried any other minecraft rigs, so I can't point you at the right direction. I have mentioned this earlier, but in case you didn't see it, I will be offering a service soon where I will create a model based on your skin and you will receive it with a functioning rig. This way you can do your own poses and animations as well. More detail on it will come when it is available for purchase.
On another note, I updated my original post. Terms and Conditions added.

I would also be very interested in purchasing a rig (with or without character) for personal use, should the option ever be made available.
Other than that, amazing work. I've been browsing through your shop thread, and i'm fairly sure it's safe to say that your character renders are second to none!
I think I will add a package with the character and rig included so that people can make their own images with their personal skin. I'll work on it soon, maybe have it available in the shop by next week. I will just need to make some adjustments to the rig and make it more user-friendly.
And thanks, glad you like my work

Good thing I use blender too! It's such a great program and it costs zero. It would be great if you could sell a bundle with the character model and rig, maybe add in a dog or two. I'd love to get some tips for rendering minecraft too because I'm pretty new at it. Best part about your renders is probably the way the textures are 3D too. Overall great style.
Yeah, so glad I came by blender, it can basically do what those other 3d programs can. I will have to regularly create more mob and animal rigs. Right now I have a Wolf, Zombie, Skeleton and Enderman rig.
Do you use cycles for rendering? That is what I use since it is now Blender's official renderer. It is great, I just need to learn it some more and get used to working with Nodes.
About the 3d textures, they aren't actually generated from the texture itself. What I do is add geometry to the model to add depth to clothes/armor and whatever items are on the texture. This way you get shadows from it as well. So basically it is like a hat layer but throughout the entire model.

when i said that u wont get much people i meant that ur greater than amzing but there is someone called archosmanf he does gfx too but for free and he has 70+ hole pages of people and he handles it that means u can handle it too if u do it quick if u want search for it
I know you didn't mean anything bad by it
I have seen his thread and he does get tons of requests. He also does good scene renders, but to be honest, some of his finished products are better than others and you can tell which ones he rushed through and that has nothing to do with his capabilities. He could make each request great, but in order to fulfill his requests he has to sacrifice certain details in some of them. Since it is a free service that is acceptable.
Dec 2, 2013Thanks DaySurvivalist, I appreciate what you said I use Blender for my 3d work, it is just too good of a program for a free one. I haven't considered selling characters with the rigs included. The rig I made isn't very user friendly and has some issues that I got used to and have been able to work around. I would have to make some modifications to the rigs in order for it to be sell-able. It is something I will think about adding to the shop.Posted in: Art Shops
Dec 2, 2013Posted in: Art ShopsQuote from Hi5TBoneAre you doing these for free? Otherwise iv never seen this many people buy designs !
I used to do it free several months ago, but while it gave me good practice it was tough to keep up with the demand. That was the main reason I closed it, it just took too much time and I couldn't spend that much time on free work. I decided to re-open it since I was still getting weekly requests by mail and pms and some willing to pay for it.
Quote from SwirlyBBi think people may not come here a lot since it costs now and btw this was a great thread before the money thread update came out
I do expect a large decrease in requests, but this way I can keep up with it and the extra money would be helpful since I don't have a fixed income and rely on my freelance work, local and online, in order to support myself. I will be adjusting my prices based on how things go, but since most requests I will possibly get will be from server owners or any minecraft based business my prices won't go too low.
I may offer occasional free services that will be limited to a certain amount of requests in the future for the average forum user.
