    posted a message on Flatmaps?
So i've been looking for a flat map for a while. I found one that was just dirt and bedrock, it was pretty useful for testing certain mods (Millenaire's, and FiniteLiquid). But I really want one that I can actually play on, with stone, ores, etc.

Is there a map/generator out there that has this?

Any time I use the playableflatmap gen on small size everything works fine, but when I try to generate a medium map, there is no dirt, just the bedrock walls and ores. I haven't tried large or huge yet. Is there an easy fix for this?

Edit: It happens on Large too.

I'm also pretty sure it had something to do with the lag spikes on the finite maps, because of massive water "interaction". Which would only be amplified on larger maps.

I was pretty sure it was when he switched from indev to infdev. The infinite version of indev. Anybody know for sure?

So which version of indev/alpha did Notch get rid of lake draining, and water being finite? I was asking so I could take a look at how it was done then.

What are the odds of landing in a lavapit? I mean, think about it. There has to be like, 1 in a thousand chance that you'll land in lava. Seriously. Its not like there's a whole layer of lava under you

Next time you have a temporary glitch and can see through the ground for a bit, you'll change your mind. There is a ton of lava, and a lot of holes in the obsidian

I know right, and you can make enormous, seriously enormous projects. I'm working on making a 256x256x64 castle.

Is it just me or is playing single-player still more fun because of various issues? Having a centered spawnpoint means you have to walk a long time if you don't want to be disturbed. Having to get an admin to teleport you instead of having a "friends" list that lets you do that gets pretty old. Being greifed and trolled constantly is no fun either.

However, you can play however you want on singeplayer, no one will disturb you, sadly though not even if you want them to. You can hack, you can build towers into the sky. You can rape and pillage. You can make massive dynamite explosions. You can make enormous cave cities and then leave them there if you want.

Really just wondering what everyone's favorite is. Please include why.

There is a stickied thread at the top of the support forum that is a how to on how to use this. However, my advice is to use some other form of registry service rather than Advanced System Care.

posted a message on Minecraft wont work on download or in browser.
Alright, attempt #1 unsucessful, I looked at Java's website and it said to use the add/remove programs program. Seemed pretty simple and easy, but upon doing so I am presented with this error message.

The Windows Installer Service could not be accessed. This can occur if the Windows Installer is not correctly installed. Contact your support personnel for assistance.

Being thoroughly experienced with this issue I decide to check some basic things attributed with this error, but none come up with any sort of flag, everything is set as it should be, with a few exceptions.

    1. The windows installer service is set to both manual and not started. However, the installer service is an automatic service and is only started while your using. So I set it to automatic and tried to start it again, but again the same error message, so I try delayed start as well, and obviosly, and as expected, yet again it doesn't work.

Here is where I would normally uninstall a program and install it again. But uh, how do you re-install the main re-installation program? Contacting an MSE and customer support only yeilds "Do a clean install of the OS.".
