    Umm, this log says that MCPatcher can't find minecraft.jar. That does nothing with the mods. Actually, that is absolutely useless log. :/

    And what exactly did you do? Everyone is sure that he/she did everything right and got a bug. :)

    Alright. So it's probably in the way I installed it. I tried removing my modified minecraft.jar from the bin and I got the exact same response from the regular launcher. It's bound to happen, me making a stupid mistake. Thanks though. I'll try something else here...

    EDIT: Cool. So I tried installing SSP and All-in-one with MCPatcher, patched it, and now it works. I should have tried that earlier. Thanks, haha

    I use to be able to get this mod to work (granted it was probably 8+ months ago, and it's been 6+ months since I've signed into the forums). I tried to install it again (I'm 99% sure I unpacked and moved the files correctly), got the 'Done Loading' screen, so I launched it in MCPatcher, and got this:

    Apparently a NullPointerException is being thrown because minecraft.jar cannot be found. I'm not the best at Java, but I'm guessing it's because I have minecraft.jar as a folder, not an actual .jar. To open the jar initially, I added .zip to the name then took it off. It then treats it as a folder. See, this entire process worked in the past, but not now. So I need a way to compile the jar (other than putting everything into Eclipse...). But you know more about this than I do. Thanks.

    Exactly. They will not despawn, while "regular" animals will.

    Ok. Code wise, how does that work? I'm just curious. Is it some boolean like
    if animalBreeded == true{
    }
    ?

    Can you paste that code? I want to know how that part works.

    Question: you said earlier that if you breed your animals you won't lose them/despawn. What do you mean? If you breed an animal it keeps it from despawning? I'm confused.

    I've encountered a problem with your mods:

    Whenever I try to play Minecraft with a jar that contains either OldSurvival or NBXlite, I get a blackscreen. No error message, a clean ModLoader log, just a blackscreen. And I did not forget to delete META-INF.

    Please give me some hint on how to get rid of that, I really want to go on playing my old 1.5_01 map :(

    That doesn't happen for me... I think with the new Minecraft version you might have to make the folder an actual .jar file or something. (javac in command prompt) I know there are some major changes to that. I know how you feel, sometimes I try to instal mods and it just doesn't work out... same thing.

    OH: if you are on Mac, sometimes you will only delete the two files starting with Mojang in the META-INF. It just depends on which mod you're installing. Other than that, I really can't help you.
    _________

    On another note, what if I wanted the old terrain generator, but not the old mob spawning code? Which classes would I NOT put in the Minecraft.jar? Would I have to go into the source and manually edit them? I'm wondering because I want to keep my animal farm

    It might be nice if you separated the terrain generator into its own mod. Cause that's all that I really want in NBX lite.
    By the way, all your other stuff is great.

    posted a message on How do I make a runnable Java program?
    (if you were looking at my other thread earlier and wondering why I haven't posted on it in a while, I will put that off for awhile. I have it saved in a text document and will PM if I have questions. For now I'm just leaving it off)

    I made a pretty small program and I'm wondering how I would save it or find a way to run it as a stand-alone application, outside of the console in Eclipse.
    I've tried to run it as an applet (embedded in HTML) and I couldn't figure out how to do that. I tried to run it through command prompt (terminal on Mac with the command 'java') but it just tossed me an error message.

    I also tried saving it as a Jar file and a Class file but still nothing.

    Do I need to change the code at all?

    import java.util.Scanner;

    public class Calculator
    {
       static Scanner typeinput = new Scanner(System.in);

       public static void main(String[] args) { decider(); }

       public static void decider() {

    	System.out.println("Would you like to calculate the area for a triangle, rectangle, or circle?");
    	 String message = typeinput.nextLine();

    	 if (message.equals("triangle")) {
    	   System.out.println("Enter the base length of the triangle:");
    	  double base = typeinput.nextDouble();
    	  System.out.print("Enter the height length of the triangle:");
    	   double height = typeinput.nextDouble();

    	   double preCalculation = base * height;

    	  double Area = preCalculation / 2.0D;
    	   System.out.println("The Area of your triangle is: " + Area);
    	 }

    	 if (message.equals("rectangle")) {
    	   System.out.println("Enter one of the side lengths:");
    	 double length1 = typeinput.nextDouble();
    	   System.out.println("Enter the other side length");
    	 double length2 = typeinput.nextDouble();
    	 double Area = length1 * length2;

    	  System.out.println("The area of your rectangle is: " + Area);
    	 }

    	if (message.equals("circle")) {
    	  System.out.println("Enter the radius of your circle:");
    	  double radius = typeinput.nextDouble();
    	  double Area = 3.14159265358979 * radius * radius;
    	  System.out.println("The area of your circle is: " + Area);
    	 }
    	else{

    	}
       }

    No. It's completely good as long as you build it legit. The reason they don't allow on some servers is because it acts towards the passive mob limit. Which means no mobs for anyone else.

    But on singleplayer, it's fine. Not cheating as long as you didn't cheat to build it.
