Dec 10, 2010I live to explore!Posted in: Alpha - Survival Single Player
Seriously, there's nothing I enjoy more than stumbling across a tiny gap in my mining endeavors that ends up leading to a multi-level lava chamber with waterfalls and deep recesses in stone.
Building is fun, too. I'm trying to plot out how to make a T-Rex playing the drums in front of an atomic explosion, but that sort of thing is a pain in the ass to map out.
i live to be awesome
Dec 10, 2010LOL DELLPosted in: Alpha - Survival Single Player
i'm running a replacement computer right now that just so happens to be a dell, send help
I'd just wait for more optimization, as stated above.
It's weird, though, I would assume a processor like that would be able to beat the **** out of Minecraft somewhat better than it does. It sounds like your game runs at more or less the same frame rate and etc. as mine, except I've got a piddly like 1.8ghz single core and a half-gig of RAM.
Oh, and on-board video.
MINECRAFT HAS NO IDEA WHAT IT'S DOING WITH RESOURCES
Dec 10, 2010I'm well aware you're not a mod, and running in here waving around the rulebook like a kindergartner tattling on someone eating glue is obnoxious at best. Adopting an attitude of lofty snobbishness isn't really appreciated, ever.Posted in: Mods Discussion
"but i wasn't snobbish" Sarcastic rhetorical questions and mini-modding fit the bill. If it causes multiplayer problems, okay. Just come in, mention that it's being used as a griefing tool, and leave it at that. You don't have to start a mini-crusade to get everything shut down.
Slightly more on-topic; Could you add feathers to the spawn list? They're absent, and it'd be nice to have them for custom arrow purposes.
Then again, if you've got an add-by-ID method in the works, I guess that request doesn't really matter.
Also, the kit idea sounds pretty damn handy. I hope it works out.
Dec 10, 2010You can just use [img] tags to auto-resize the images and provide links to the full-sized versions.Posted in: Alpha - Survival Single Player
Looking alright, though. I'd like to see more after you've completed your project(s).
Dec 10, 2010Posted in: Mods DiscussionQuote from Seebo »SMP already has mods that the server owners can install that allows players to spawn stuff.
SSP does not.
If a server hasn't taken the initiative to start anti-griefing and anti-hack scripts, I'd say this mod is the least of their worries.
This is not a multiplayer mod.
Dec 10, 2010You could have built something similar for WAY cheaper.Posted in: Alpha - Survival Single Player
Buying a prefab just saves you a million lifetimes worth of headaches, unless you're into researching parts and ensuring they're all compatible with one another.
It's usually not too bad, though.
Dec 9, 2010Someone made a video about this a few days ago, it works with both sand and gravel.Posted in: Alpha - Survival Single Player
Any block that isn't a full one will work for breaking that sort of thing, such as mushrooms, flowers, half blocks, torches, so on.
(or, at least, so i've been told)
Dec 9, 2010Did you miss a strip of skin on the right side of the head? It's a black line out of nowhere.Posted in: Skins
Also, you might want to paint the tops of the legs the same color as the pants, just so it doesn't look like he's wearing assless chaps when he runs.
Other than that, it looks pretty sweet.
Dec 9, 2010Just so you know, the standard keybinding conflicts with 303's grappling hook mod.Posted in: Mods Discussion
It's re-configurable, but you may want to pick another key to open the menu with in order to avoid conflicts.
(that is up to you though)
Dec 9, 2010@duartel: Does it matter? Really?Posted in: Alpha - Survival Single Player
You are not the pirate police. Let other people worry about whether or not he bought the game.
Slightly more on-topic: I've been messing around with Growler GunCam lately. Seeing as my computer isn't all that spectacular, it works pretty well.
Seems to **** up my output video on several settings, though. Trying to get that thing to export a watchable movie is an art in and of itself.
