I noted villagers open and close barrels.
Can they take/put stuff from/in the barrels?
no, i am playing vanilla 1.17.1 using seed -1192028314. i found that seed playing on xbox but on pc i have to use the launcher. i start in birch forest and go from there. i have no mods that i know of. i haven't dug down to level 11 yet on this new spot. it's called sunflower prairie. home had lots of diamond so i want to see if that is still the case here. i brought enough diamonds to make two diamond picks. how do you get the text from my post into your post?
Did Mojang add scarecrows?
Make a back-up of your world and try it on 1.17.
If it works fine, you stick with this version.
If not, play on older version.
I'd suggest to wait until full version of 1.17 becomes available.
That's because people keep asking for the next release instead waiting for more 6 months for the full release.
So Mojang decided to remove few contents instead release 1.17 with full glitches to please them.
Recently I was looking at the Minecon live video on Youtube for Minecraft 1.17. And realized there was a structure shown with barrels cobwebs and a blast furnace when the warden was shown. Will this be a new structure or is it for display purposes? Just wondering. The photo is in the attachments.
I smell wines for some reason.
No need to be sad.
Longer is better than rushing the update to please fans with full of glitches.
I'll admit, I'm pretty disappointing that the Caves and Cliffs update has been essentially delayed. I understand Mojang's health concerns, and made sure to go over their announcements, and one important factor seemed to go completely unmentioned- the new release will now be available conveniently around the holiday season.
Maybe I'm looking too deep into this- I've never had much reason to doubt Mojang in the past, particularly given the increased quality of these new updates. The Nether update was announced in September 2019, and released around Summer of 2020, giving a couple months less than a year from announcement to official release. The Caves and Cliffs update was announced in October, and so a Summer release would be more or less expected.
Now, obviously, you can't compare apples to oranges- these two updates are quite different, and we can't know whether one is more technically difficult than the other. The combination of the pandemic, and possible technical difficulties regarding the more drastic changes to worlds would mean it would make sense to delay the update...
...But there's some nagging part of me that can't help but think the decision to move the update to the holiday season, while providing enough features this summer to keep us intrigued, might have more to do with having the release coincide with the holidays than some of the other reasons they mentioned.
Am I reading too much into this? Perhaps I'm just being paranoid, but I couldn't help but point this out. What do you think?
I don't mind if I need to wait 2022-23 for the next release as long as the update is well done.
I played rd-161348 version today and I'm challenged myself to catch all jumping guys into traps.
First I built a wall around the world so jumping guys won't escape.
Then I built traps.
I managed to trap all jumping guys. They are eight.
Would be nice, but we cannot ignore that there are downsides to having an increased amount of mobs in the game,
such as increased memory and CPU requirements.
I'd be interested in a survey to see what kind of PC's the majority of people were using to play this game before making a final judgment on like this,
desktop and laptop ones only, not game consoles, smartphones or tablets.
If anybody want to add their stuff, the minimum requirement would be 64 gigs.
Well, it looks like this is going to be quite a while longer. A bit disappointing at first, but good on them for avoiding any crunch. Also.. .Is it just me or does Agnes look like she's trying hard not to fall apart? Either way, I believe this also marks a raising of their standards.
It's better to take time for a new update and not feel a rush update with plenty of glitches.
1.17 requires OpenGL 3.2 or more recent I think.
I need to set the memory option to play 1.17 with less lags on my HP with 8 gig.
In my opinion, it was Release 1.6. There were a lot of things that urgently needed improvement, but Mojang somehow decided to add horses, as if half of the games out there didn't already have horses. Hard to appreciate the fact that baby zombies now spawned naturally.
1.10 was at least understandable. Perhaps Mojang was scared of adding something too controversial after 1.9.
Can't forget 1.14 either with the new textures.
Baby zombies are hard to hit because they're too fast and I rarely use horses.
