Example Crysis 2, GTA 4, Dwarf fortress.
In case of crysis 2 anyone with a new ATI graphic card might as well **** themselves.
GTA 4 was crap on PC and many modern systems were unable to run the game without encountering pop ins and stuff.
Dwarf fortress is badly optimized but that is justified case because that game is much more huge than any game on the market
My system could run minecraft with full view distance, fancy graphics on constant 60 FPS.
After a few updates it runs it at 15 FPS on far fog and 10 on tiny fog.
Also making it fancy just improves the FPS by 1.
How the hell do you have better FPS by making it fancy on on far fog?...

The one with internet happens to be a computer which was mid ranged in 2000.

I would say that a quarter of the people that play Minecraft aren't pleased with their fps.
In my opinion Mojang should try and focus on reducing those lag spikes and lag in general. I cannot play on normal or far fog settings, even with; fast graphics, optimine (performance mod) gamebooster, and setting the java process as high priority.
Minecraft was working good enough for me at the 1.3 version. Then once wolves came the entire game just became laggy. If anyone agrees with this please tweet at the Mojang team to improve the speed of minecraft.
I can play on normal fog, fast graphics, none-smooth lighting, and Minecraft the only thing open on my TABLET.

Minecraft is far superior to infiniminer, a game not many people really cared about. Fortresscraft is simply trying to profit from the success of minecraft while failing to make any real improvements to the game that the community of Minecraft modders couldn't do over a weekend.

I happened to have the luck to begin a file in a snow world, where it always snows, but when I was building my lighthouse it puzzled me that when I get above the clouds, it keeps snowing.
where is the snow coming from?...
because snow comes from clouds I don't see why it has to snow above them. maybe something could go into development to only have snow from a certain height.
