Hey, Chylex, I crashed when using the Spatial Dash Gem. it worked the first two times, but the third time I fired it over a slightly larger distance(maybe 20 or so blocks to the top of a tree) and it crashed my game.

Do you have any idea what this issue is here?

posted a message on Petition: Mojang needs to change the EULA!
    Quote from Pr3castDragon

This EULA change will MURDER Minecraft.

    1 No donations
2 No money to pay for server hosting
3 Almost All public servers shut down
4 No fun custom coded servers; No more Minecraft youtubers; No more mod / plugin developers
5 Huge server / server hosting companies and Donation companies such as Buycraft, Mineplex, MCProHosting, etc shut down; Google, Twitch, etc impacted by user loss
6 Victims of company shutdowns no longer have a job
7 Hundreds of thousands of lives ruined
8 90% of minecraft players stop playing
    9 Mojang shuts down
    10 Minecraft dies

I know it's not fair to Mojang, but people wouldn't be so dependent on this nowadays if they got off their butts and enforced this from the beginning.

    >no donations
if you did any reading of your own, you'd know that donations will still be allowed
you just can't sell parts of the game
    >no money to pay for server hosting
Like I said, donations won't go away, just blatant penny-pinching. But let's say this change actually did ban all form of donations.
Many servers actually pay out of pocket with these magical new things that nobody seems to believe exist.
    JOBS.
If you have a job that pays a decent amount, you can put down money on hardware of your own to host a server, or rent an inexpensive server(although buying and maintaining the hardware yourself is far wiser)
    >almost all public servers shut down
That's not going to happen, though.
    >buycraft, mineplex, MCPH shutdown
    >google & twitch impacted by huge userloss
BuyCraft gets shafted because you're literally being made to buy parts of the game.
Mineplex is fine because you're buying improved service/features, and not actual parts of the game.
MCPH is server hosting. You can buy server space without violating the EULA.
also that bit about google and twitch made me laugh
How does any of this have to do with twitch or google?
    >victims of company shutdowns no longer have a job
    What companies?
    >hundreds of thousands of lives ruined
    What are you talking about?
    >90% of MC users stop playing
    >Mojang shuts down
    >minecraft dies
But none of that has any chance of happening.

    Quote from TheOatBaron

    - True, you can have a job/allowance - but they don't have to be your only income. Why not allow people to also make profit off of Minecraft servers (that are compliant with customer issues such as stolen credit cards etc.)?
    - It costs money either way, proper hosting is just more money-effective. I don't see what you're trying to argue.
    - You say you hate F2Ps, which are free to plays. I'm going to assume you meant pay to play, otherwise you'd just be contradicting yourself. If you don't like pay to play servers, just don't play. It is a personal choice that the server owner makes. If he puts in the time to research what the community wants, what the possibilities are, what is the most cost-effective hosting, how will he deal with players, build the structures, download the plugins, advertise, and put endless hours of work into the server, he should be able to make profit/income off of it by selling some of these features (items and plugin commands). I believe Garry's Mod handles this properly, a lot like Minecraft used to. Allow people to buy the client from them (Minecraft/Garry's Mod) and let the developers and owners make their own profit by manipulating the game into something people like.

"Why not allow people to also make profit off of Minecraft servers"
because you don't own Minecraft and you have not been given the rights to do so
what part of "You don't own Minecraft" do you not understand
If you want to make money, do it in a less cheap, shady way
Find some other way to separate bratty kids and irresponsible parents from their money.

If you host a server, you do it because you want to have fun and create fun for others. Not because you want to get paid.
If you ask for donations, you do it in a not-for-profit manner.
You don't sell the game piece by piece to the player to squeeze extra pennies out of the userbase.
You don't act like you're entitled to make money off of a game someone else made just because they were nice enough not to swat you for all these years.
People are finally getting called out on their actions and they don't even have the decency to admit that what they're doing is cheap and illegal, and pack up and do something else.

    Quote from Venusaur

Buying perks or items on a MULTIPLAYER SERVER in which there are THOUSANDS of options, also doesn't prevent you from playing the game you paid for. Bukkit plugins that provide most perks were also not included in the original base game.

"doesn't prevent you from playing the game you paid for"
if you're blocking me from using features of the game and saying "you have to pay us money to use these", what you are doing is preventing me from playing the game I paid for. The "Game" refers to every piece of Minecraft. If Jim from down the street were to sell me a toy horse, and then you yank off one of the legs when I decide to play with it at your house, saying that "you need to pay extra to play with the leg here", you're trying to profit off of Jim's hard work.

"Bukkit plugins that provide most perks were also not included in the original base game."
Yes. And it's fine to monetize that sort of stuff.

the thing people need to realize is, if you're a server owner, you either need to pay for it with your money, get donations in a way that doesn't leech off of Minecraft, or just not host a server

I'm running a modpack that uses a lot of different items, and this continually happens whenever I open my inventory on load, or sometimes I'll even get to open my inventory, but the items tab displays no items, and the game crashes upon attempting to reset the item filters.

For players, they alter their permissions with a similar book. I think the mob targeting book actually doesn't work in SMP for some reason (that I still haven't figured out), but the player permissions book does. :)

Ah! That makes sense. Thank you! Also, want a PM giving info on my modpack?
I hope to have a test run of it up this weekend.

I am creating a multiplayer modpack for my new server, and some of your mods will be in it. I have a question regarding UtilityMobs.
I see that in the instructions, you can define which players have which permissions, but how to I alter the permissions ingame?
I know I can alter mob targeting with books, but how will I let my players give their buddies permissions to their turrets and golems ingame so that they don't get slain by the defenses?

MCF's 1.5.2 mod list marks your mod as SSP only.

Is this true? I've seen what your mod can do and it's FANTASTIC.
I was hoping to use it in my new multiplayer modpack.

In the next version, will I be able to set my turrets to target not only certain monsters, but to include/exclude certain players from their targeting checklist in multiplayer?

I'd REALLY like to see that feature.

Do you think that you could make the armor GUI backwards-compatible with Minecraft 1.2.5? It would mean a lot if you could do that.

I'm sorry if this has already been brought up, but, this happened while I was playing:

I had an army of Red soldiers, with full melee armor/weapons, and netherrack turtles. I created a 2nd army of Black soldiers and gave them ranged gear, then unleashed them on the reds, but then the game crashed and in the crash report it said that the Netherrack Turtles conflicted with the Gravel projectiles. I'm using other mods, but none of them should be a problem, as I either wasn't using them actively, or they are under-the-hood mods. I hope you can fix this.

Also, I have a suggestion for the mod. Perhaps they can use string as a grappling hook, in order to climb an extra block?
