2. Economy: We don't like text based economy- too boring. So your money here is gold ingots and nuggets. You can obtain them through prizes, selling goods, jobs, or simply mining it! All new players will receive 20 Gold to start!
3. Stores: All shops are owned by players, so you can purchase goods without spending countless minutes/hours obtaining the necessary materials you need quickly. Stores can also be purchased, just see the town bank!
4. Awesome RANKS:
Deity>Kings/Queens>Lord>Knight>Monk>Peasant>Guest
There is also a special rank for those who donate called "Taxpayer." Player who donate get special perks that no other rank can obtain!
5. BANK ACCOUNTS: Make an account, deposit your gold, gain interest!
6. MCMMO rankings: This plugin allows you to gain xp and rankings such as wood cutting, mining, axes, swords, and many more!

So this post is really about the Ocean biomes- and the lack of it. Not the physical aspect of it, but what it means to be an ocean.
Minecraft has come a long way with developing features on land and user friendly recipes. New mobs have been added constantly. But the ocean, is just boring. Do you think they have future plans for the ocean biomes?
We came up with some simple ideas that would make them much more interesting to visit.
-Sharks- (Aggressive) Obvious hostile mobs that attack when you're within vicinity to them.
-Jellyfish-(Passive-Aggressive) Colorful jellyfish that range in size or shape and do not attack, but can damage you similar to a cactus does and poison you.
-Actual fish?-(docile) Perhaps adding some fish liven up the seas?
-Whale- (docile) We've seen its capable to support large mobs such as a dragon, why not add whales? Perhaps they could have some form of benefit to the player as well?
-Seaweed- Aquatic plants would definitely add to the scheme of the ocean, and perhaps they could be added as a medicinal or some other form of potion ingredient?

I'm sick of pre-releases. It takes away form the excitement of the game- the anticipation for waiting for something new. Instead, we get to test lame bugs and reconfigure our .jar files (though very easy) just to check out how the grass grows.
Not only that, but its a server killer. Our 1.8.1 server basically had no frequent players because everyone wanted to focus on the pre-releases as opposed to playing a solid updated version and waiting for a final release of the version. Our server runs bukkit, and we know they don't have a habit of updating the system quickly. So it's either they give the pre-releases to bukkit BEFORE they release them, or don't do it at all.
Another thing that really burns me up is this ridiculous reformatting. ALL of the hard work we have put into a server ultimately gets crushed when we find out the current world is NOT compatible with the updates. Therefore forcing us to create a new one and remotely transfer buildings and creations over. We are currently on world 4.0 from restarting so much. It's ridiculous and unnecessary. This crap needs to be fixed.
I am an Overseer (1 Step below Admin) For our relatively new server. We're a small a server that can hold up to 40 players as well as support a boast of plugins. We have a low amount of female players within our server and would like to find more active ones to even the balance. Here's a little bit of info about our server..
For starters, we use as our currency. We feel that using material based economy plays better and feels more realistic then text based.
-We DO NOT spawn items. If you expect items handed to you on the server, then seaside is not for you. This is strictly SURVIVAL.
-We have a numerous stores that you can purchase just about anything at to save you hours of time of finding or obtaining it yourself. This also helps the economy flow.
-Upon arrival, new players receive a designated plot in which they can let their creativity flow through. All other plots or expansions will cost a little bit of Of course you can always build out in the wild.
-The world and the main city is protected by WorldGuard. The city itself is broken up into multiple zones so you don't have to worry about those pesky griefers. If griefing does occur, we do have plugins to find out who the culprit is immediately.
-Along with the numerous buildings and store built already, we have multiple games sites including a gladiator arena where you can win various prizes and overall change your gaming experience!!

I replace the original minecraft.jar with the leaked version, and all I get is a screen that says "updating minecraft" but and the loading bar doesnt move

Predatorily bird like a hawk or eagle. Perhaps train it in some way that it attacks foes around you.
And perhaps a Whale? I don't know what kind of restrictions you may have on mob size though, but it would definitely be an awesome feature.
