Your idea is bad and you should feel bad.

    Well, I don't. :biggrin.gif:

In seriousness, though, why put yourself (or anyone else) through the misery that is playing Minecraft in 3rd person? There are currently plenty of pointless days (Talk Like A Pirate Day for example) but they are generally a bit of fun as opposed to a form of torture.

First of all, like I said at least 3 times before, you would HAVE to do it. If you wanted to you could. And it could be fun if you stop complaining about it. It'd be more of a challenge to do stuff and that's the point. And besides, you wouldn't HAVE to do it the whole day. You could quite at any time, I suppose.

It's not mandatory. What I meant by you have to is that if you are going to participate you do. XD

I've never thought someone could think of something as bad as this. Especially how forced-meme hes trying to make it feel.

Sorry, I'm not the best at getting across how I mean things to sound with only text. :l

What if you had a map and you need to find something in your map ( you are losed and you need to go to the center of your map , what means the place you create it , what means your house ) , But it doesnt let you change views , and you cant see the map... that would be really annoying...

Again, you don't have to participate. And if you still want to, just switch to first person for a second. ^-^

Hell no. He comes here with a terrible idea, which is initially described as mandatory. People disagree with it and he flames them. Then after people say not if it is mandatory he says it isn't. It is then proven that he said you HAD to do it, meaning mandatory.

... When did I flame anyone? Please tell me and if I did I'll apologize. XD

The point of my idea is that it's hard to do stuff while playing in 3rd person, so it'd be a challenge when playing and it'd be cool and funny to see what people can or can't do. It wouldn't be mandatory (sorry if I made it sound like it) but I just thought it'd be a fun thing to do.

It wouldn't be mandatory. Where'd you get that idea? And how would it even be possible?

Eh... Notch needs to improve third person before I even bother using it.

That's the point. It'd be more of a challenge to do stuff.

This makes me want to cry. like A LOT.

The emo corner's over there. *points to a dark corner*

    No.

    Just no.

    Yes.

    Just yes.

I thought it'd be really cool to have an official Minecraft holiday thing every year, where on that day , Minecrafters everywhere have to play all day in 3rd person view! Also, all the Minecraft YouTubers like ChimneySwift11, PBat, SeaNanners, Luclin, Paulsaoresjr, IHazCupquake and Wolv21 could make videos about what they did on that day and stuff. I think it'd be a cool thing to do each year in celebration of Minecraft. Not sure what day is would be.

TL;DR: It's a Minecraft holiday where everyone plays Minecraft all day in 3rd person view (F5).

    What do you think?

Yeah, my friend already told me about that. I've already added it to the next update, but I just haven't finished making the mobs' eyes look right. (Stupid sheep and zombies! D:<)

Yes, I did just resize it. And it took longer than I expected, though not too long. And I'm not saying it's perfect. I'm still working on it. I'm going to change things to make it look better in 16x16. And also, to the 16x16 Doku pack, I made this because I personally thing Gerudoku looks much better than Doku.

So you basically just grabbed the whole thing, and scaled it down by 2. Everything in the terrain.png is really blurry because of this. And all the holes in the door are blocked up, same with a lot of other transparent bits. Even the glass isn't symmetrical. The doku-clip pack in my sig is exactly the same as this, but properly refined into 16x16. No blurry bits.

Exactly. And as I said above, I'm still working on it. It's not 100% done. And it probably never will be.

All you've done is open the image files in Photoshop or Paint.net (or some other image editing software) and have resized it by %50 with "Nearest Neighbour" selected.

    Technically, "Best Quality" was selected.

Sorry but patching really isn't that hard and it doesn't cause your Minecraft.jar to mess up that often. Why would you even bother modding your game if you weren't willing to go through some s***?

The point of this texture pack is do have it without modding entirely. And also, you can still switch to the original textures and it installs just like normal 16x16 texture packs.

Also, could you do the custom water for this? Just resize it i guess.

I'm not sure, but I think you would have to put a file in the minecraft.jar manually to do that, and I'd rather have it install like a normal texture pack. Tell if I'm wrong, because then I could probably do that.

Also, soon I'm adding the new saplings, better glass, doors, mob faces (XD), and the dirt shading thing in the next update.

And finally, this thing's got 250+ downloads! Whoo! I'm not sure if that's good for 2 days, but whatever. I'm happy!

AWESOME! This would be better for people with people with laggier computers or they don't like use MCPatcher.
Also may I see the items.png? I want to see what you did with that.

    Thanks, man!

Actually, I didn't change the items.png. I only resized it, but I can show you that, too, if you want.

To anyone who loves this texture pack, but doesn't want to have to go through patching and deal with errors and such, I've made a 16x16 version of Gerudoku, with a few changes of my own!

    Please check it out here!
