I didn't ever think of making a Map myself, since I wanted to wait with such things until TaleCraft goes 1.0b!
When TaleCraft goes 1.0b ('Beta'), I will probably make a example map.
I think this is a good idea. Cryect made an example map showcasing new features and it showed clearly how everything was set up, so everyone could see how to integrate the newest AC features.
TC is a bit different since you have an instruction manual, but for someone who learns better from watching or exploring rather than reading, having an example map would be helpful.
I know there are at least two maps currently being made, but I'm pretty sure they're nowhere near ready. The mod is still pretty fresh, so I wouldn't expect a whole map collection for a while.

It looks like it can't find forge? Is it looking for the wrong version of forge? The installation completed successfully according to the installer.
EDIT: Looks like I might have missed a step. Trying again.
Rhino is what Adventurecraft used for JavaScript. Super easy to use and shouldn't be difficult to implement. It would be nice if you used similar commands and structure. It would make porting JavaScript from AC to TC super easy and I'm still pretty familiar with AC's setup.
Wait, Talecraft?
Well, that answers several questions, and opens up a few more.
Yeah it isn't quite functional to the point that I could add all of the features we want. But it is getting there. I've been keeping an eye on it for a while.
In regards to the chunk errors, they occur while using mcedit as well. AdventureCraft does something odd to the save files that corrupts areas. I've ran into this problem before.
I just wrote around 1000 lines of code! The result?
I implemented some of the blocks from the original AdventureCraft!
The experimental-prototype (the one without the Soundsystem) will be out in a couple of days.
I will just finish the (experimental/prototype) event system!

So I know that the glass is supposed to get rid of neighboring surface textures, but I feel like having some glass blocks that don't do that would be handy.

This is wise. Something about AdventureCraft corrupts maps and save files. It is unavoidable.

It would be nice to have something similar to, say, the AdventureCraft scripting guide that showed all of the exposed options we could use.

This is exactly why I started over on my map earlier this year. I was afraid that something like this would be an issue!
AC maps probably will need to be redone entirely in either AC2 or vanilla minecraft.
