Hey, I have an idea for an addition for Optifine.
I really hope you like the idea and go through with it because it'd be very handy for me and a few others. X3

So, I'm one of the lucky ducks to have a 4K screen, however my GPU isn't intended for games, so if I want to run shaders smoothly I usually set the resolution to 720p, because it still looks fine.

But... See, when I switch between shaders and regular 4K play I need to rescale the UI and change the mouse sensitivity to do that, which is annoying.
Do you think you could make setting profiles that we can make, save and switch between?

This would help a lot and seems to me like it'd be simple enough to make.

Play in 4k at all times, downsample when using shaders using the Render Quality option in the shaders menu.

I just got an idea that may help users (like me) that want to use shaders. How about you disable the arms too ? If i understand correctly you already did that with the player head, and disabling the arms will fix the double arm problem, and still have the advantage of seeing your body when looking down and who nows, maybe it will be even better this way ! If you consider how other games that include the body do it, you often have hands rendered as separate things from the rest of the body (see Crysis for example, or L4D) It would be great if you could implement this !

Sorry, its hard to tell with the inflectionlessness of text some times. I tend to jump to the defense of Mod Makers because I feel they are under appreciated. Some people seem to think its their right to get these free mods quickly, lol.

I understand and trust me, I've seen my share of toxic people demanding mod authors to update their mods literally 2-3 hours after 1.9 came out. If anything, i have immense respect for mod authors that are passionate about their work and continue to maintain their mods, despite having to deal with retards that demand everything right here and right now.

I noticed a problem with the round logs, (that wasn't the case in 1.8.9). Simply put, you can see trough the "roundness" of the log, but the blocks behind are transaprent. The pictures best describes it. So my question is: can you fix it ?

I've finally gotten around to making a basic and crappy version of the mod run on 1.8. Now I have to work out how to fix the positioning of the head, because I'm unsatisfied with how it worked before.

I welcome whoever may be working on a version for 1.7 to continue working on it, as backporting it will take time away from me working on new features for the mod.

Can you give us a download link ? I NEED my "look-down-and-see-my-legs" fix :) Even if it is buggy.

I liked the old interface much more, this one has all kinds of problems:

If you have a large screen and keep the GUI size to large or normal, the menu icons are minuscule

Whenever you open the inventory you cant close it if you dont click somewhere or you use escape, because the search area gets always selected

As ebennett365 said changing the enchanting menu made it much more annoying to use and navigate (also applies to brewing and fireworks)

As CycloneStorm also said Hiding the set time and Loadouts inside a submenu is a terrible idea

Please revert back to the old UI :( or at least make a different version ? Please ?...

EDIT: The overlapping potion effects was such a minor problem compared to this mess ! I don't know, remove the status effects or nudge them down but dont remove the TMI interface :(
