I just came to say that the game kinda crashes when i try to save any settings... and by "kinda" i mean it locks up for a while, i get some exceptions in the console and then resumes, but any change doesnt get saved after quitting the game...

I noticed that you just said that you fixed the same issue, but for me it doesnt seem to work.. maybe an incopatibility with another mod ? I actually kinda have a suspect, mainly auto ste pup mod. Why ? Because i also had this mod in mc 1.9 and something similar happneed (settings nto saving) but without the apparent crash.

    Below is the error log.

EDIT: well, it seems that my log was too long, here.

I can't help but notice the flood of

[Client thread/WARN]: Failed reading metadata of: http://www:http://i.imgur.com/MfRhezf.png

Ill have to add/remove mods to see what's causing this... aaand its from the excore mod. Ignore it. Filed a bug report to the author.

You might have cycled through the view system and gotten stuck on the one that disables RFPR. There's 4 different modes, all of which are cycled through when you press F1. Try that a few times and see if your problem persists.

I mentioned that i have both visible at the same time, not that i cant see the RFPR body. Also cycling the view modes the best i can get is to disable my hud entirely (old hands included) so as i can see only the new body, but not having the hotbar and the hud is kinda dumb... I was trying to figure out if this isnt yet finnished (and thus my bug) or if there is a setting or incompatibility with something that im not aware of ?

EDIT: i finally managed to figure out that it was the shader compatibility option (ctrl+f1) that was causing trouble. But as the author said, its buggy... sigh, i guess illl have to wait untill they manage to fix it.

Ok, I've read trough the previous posts but i cant seem to find an answer to this : your "old" hands are still visible in first person, how can i turn them off ? Tried it with/without shaders, with/without mobends and nothing...

With the vanilla launcher on the other hand everything works perfectly. What is happening ?

Also in the setup tab The Minecraft.jar is marked as "not found".

I have to mention that on 1.9 with the same setup (forge+liteloader) it worked without any problems.

-sigh- okay. Just for you, I added an option in the user interface. Right click anywhere inside the "Options" box (except on the checkboxes), and there is an option to "Start flying on fly keypress".

Thank you so much ! ^.^

You can double tap the fly key to enable flying. A lot of people also wanted to be able to enable fly, but not actually fly, so they don't receive fall damage. Is double tapping it really that much of an inconvenience?

I am sorry but it kinda is, and given the fact that you already did it in the past, adding something liike a "useSinglePressToFly": true, as an option in the config would be perfect. Also even more annoying is that i actually did try to get used to it the way it is now, but the fact that you double tap to enable flying, but just single tap to disable it is even more confusing. For the time being i'll stick back to v15 but i really hope you'll add this back in a future update...

Here's version 17. I reworked fly in this one in an attempt to appease everyone ^_^

So first, there is no longer an option in the user interface to enable fly. There is a keybinding you have to set, which by default is set to NONE, which is equivalent to having fly disabled.

Pressing the Fly keybinding enables fly. This disables fall damage and lets you double jump to start flying - just like creative mode.

Double tapping the fly key turns fly on immediately. i.e. you'll start hovering. Pressing it again will turn fly off.

Download here. Let me know what you guys think, and report bugs as soon as you find them!

Please for the love of god bring back pressing the fly key once to enable flying ! It's so annoying now x) I know you changed this around a lot but please, add this feature back in and i'm pretty sure you'll please everyone (myself included)

(I may be doing something wrong here so bear with me if the issue is on my side)

It seems that BF doesn't work when running under liteloader (as some other mods that i use do too) as in: it's not there at all.

    Any idea why?

Just as a side note/rant: why does this thing even needs to exist ? (liteloader i mean) it's always such a hassle, always gets updated so late and when it does it's a mess... There's only one mod i like/use that requirers it (voxel minimap) and it's not like it's something so specific that it requires something that liteloader has to offer and plain old forge doesn't(there are plenty of minimap mods out there doing very well using forge alone)

EDIT: Forget i said anything, I managed to get it working.

Has nothing to do with the minimap. Might be shaders (not sure). Thanks for reporting though!

The thing is, i tested it with and without other mods, and it pops up only when i have the minimap enabled too ! And yes, i did noticed it sounded pretty strange for a map mod error but... meh, again, as long as it doesn't crash the game, all things considered (with the altest forge releases borking so many mods) i don't mind this :)

Well, here's a good one OctarineNoise, check this out (using the latest forge version):

EDIT: it seems that disabling the better grass kinda fixes the issue.

EDIT 2: NOPE, it's back, although a bit less frequent. It may be conflicting with Forge maybe ?

Sorry, its hard to tell with the inflectionlessness of text some times. I tend to jump to the defense of Mod Makers because I feel they are under appreciated. Some people seem to think its their right to get these free mods quickly, lol.

I understand and trust me, I've seen my share of toxic people demanding mod authors to update their mods literally 2-3 hours after 1.9 came out. If anything, i have immense respect for mod authors that are passionate about their work and continue to maintain their mods, despite having to deal with retards that demand everything right here and right now.

Forge is currently completely reworking their api. Most mods may be unaffected by one change, while others are destroyed by the same change. After all, how many mods do you use that case the light to change every time you move. Not a mob, but a player. Don't be so hasty to poo-poo a mod author who is giving you free content :D

I never said it as an insult, if you read on the previous page, i asked him again why was this happening, because i was genuinely curious. I love this mod, and a lot of the other mods that AtomicStryker makes, so i have no intention to "poo-poo" (lol) on his work! It just seemed strange that every one of his mods had some problems with the latest versions, considering they all are pretty different in what they do. Maybe it's just the way he designed them, being more dependant on certain parts of the forge api, I have no idea, that's why I was asking :)

Is there a particular reason you need forge x? If they keep breaking it every week my motivation to keep fixing it plummets somewhat

Other mods do update more frequently and they in turn require you to be running x forge version and upwards to use them.

The thing i don't understand, again, as I asked before, is why it this such a hassle for your mods to deal with forge updates ? (in that they require you to "patch" them every time, to work with the latest forge releases) Every other mod that i use (currently having @40 mods loaded) still works after a forge update and they vary in complexity from simple stuff like "better than bunnies" to stuff like optifine and minimaps...
