The only reason I want hand animation is so I can see what tool someone is carrying. Obviously, I don't want people with an invisible sword coming into my home. Besides, mining, swordfighting, and all the rest are going to look ridiculous if it's just two stationary people staring at bricks that magically disappear.

What I really love about this is that it is implemented like crafting! A lot of ideas I see on here don't seem very Minecraft-y, and very gimmick-y, but this is implemented in a Minecraft manner, without seeming like another boring crafting bench. This could really work! ;D

Interesting ideas. It would be nice to see some cool stuff above ground, as many of the best resources are all tucked away deep in caves. Something for those of us who like ocean views would be really excellent.

This would definitely allow for those of us who are unlucky, or too scared to go down into the deepest parts of caverns to make good stuff. Perhaps a consequence for the failure to put the ingredients in all the right slots (Basically, not following a recipe EXACTLY). An explosion, maybe? Nobody said alchemy was safe! :wink.gif:

Yeah, you're right. I didn't think about it being glass, since it shows no signs of reflectiveness in game. I guess I was thinking of it as a Minecraft material, not relating to real life. Well, I have no idea what it could be used for since it is glass. :/

Excellent point! That is precisely what we need, Droqen.

We could do with some use for Obsidian, but I think that obsidian tools would sort of be awful. I would prefer some sort of obsidian armor or something along those lines...

Wow... These are so scary. I would NOT be able to play survival/infdev single player anymore, if I was all alone in the world knowing these creeps were about. D:

I suppose so, but couldn't you just turn the volume down if you really didn't want to hear it? However, that would really disable your ability to detect mobs.... What a dilemma.

I imagine in Multiplayer Survival, we are going to have some MAJOR issues with people mining right through the walls of a castle or city, and then filling them up again, and no one is the wiser. In this way, it would be really easy to simply sneak into a city by breaking down a wall, which is quiet, and takes a maximum of 5 seconds for a cobblestone or stone wall. I would like it if we had some really loud and audible noises for mining cobblestone and rock, to alert people inside the city that there is obviously some mining going on near the walls, and someone is possibly digging a hole in your wall. Thoughts? Suggestions? Corrections?

I think that all in all, we don't really need currency. If anything, we should craft the currency from gold bars, not pick it up from monsters. If we pick it up from monsters, that means there is an infinite amount. However, if we craft it from gold bars, it means it can only come from a player+gold bars, both of which are finite resources. Currency would be useful for allowing more trading options (Player 1:"What if I don't have coal to trade for your gold, but I do have iron?" Player 2:"I don't want iron, I want coal." Player 1: "Then I guess we can't trade"), but we don't need the reckless inflation that getting the money from mobs would bring.

Hm. I wish there were invisibility hacks, so I could dress up like slenderman and sneak about in caves, noclipping through walls, and going invisible if they got to close. I would seriously scare the cobblestone out of anyone who got near. >:3

posted a message on Death in Multiplayer
As someone new to the forums, but not new to minecraft, I must say that I really like the idea where people respawn as mobs (except for the creeper-players *shudder*) and only get to respawn if they kill someone else. However, this will mean there is always someone on the server who is a creature, and if everyone dies, no one can respawn. Besides, it doesn't seem very Minecraft-y.

That being said, I really like the idea of not respawning again for a set period of time after you lose all of your "lives". I would prefer that you had a choice of either respawning in a respawn zone, or where you died, though this may enable griefers, so respawning in a respawn zone would probably be better. I just think that death should have some SERIOUS consequences, so you can really scare off people by threatening them with death. That would cut down on random killing a lot, except from the most dedicated griefers who are willing to spend hours getting full diamond equipment just to kill people and make them unhappy. Those people could easily be handled by admins. I don't think anyone on here is wrong, I'm just saying what I would enjoy.
