So adding the ability to actually put your left hand to use will kill the originality of the game? Even though there are many other games that don't have a double-wield system?

The memories on previous updates with epic PVP moments and awesome mob /boss Battles....... I don't mind a left and right hand.... But BOTH hands showing? No.....Just NO!

The left hand won't show if there is nothing in it. So you can basically just... not use it if you don't want to.

The Dual Wielding is I think AWFUL

...Because it will somehow ruin PvP even though you can't attack with your second hand.

But the Quivers are GREAT

I don't' really see the point of them, lol.

And Multiple Arrows are NEITHER.

...Why? Poison-tipped arrows aren't badass?

Very awesome pack, I must say! I especially like the way you did the lava. Finally, somebody managed to make realistic textured lava. Definately one of my new favorites 16x16 packs. But of course, I have one gripe. The stained clay. I think you made the stained clay a bit too realistic. (The colors are so extremely dull and faded that I might as well use normal hardened clay)

[Epic Facepalm] Why would you want double-wielding to break minigames? Isn't that... well, a bad thing? And even then, double wielding is not something that is forced onto players. The second hand (or the "off" hand) cannot be used to attack anything, so PvP should remain pretty much the same in the gameplay aspect.

Bows are extremely useful and powerful, especially when enchanted. Bows are used to no end on most PvP servers, but yes, more arrows = better bows.

Well I don't see why people are getting their jimmies in a twist over dual wielding. In my opinion, this seems like a cool Idea, and gives PVP and it's features more potential. How would something like this ruin the game? Unless you're going to give me a detailed explanation on why dual wielding, or anything for that matter is going to ruin the game, then don't complain about it.

...You know, that kind've reminds me of something- whenever a new feature is announced for an update, one half of the MC community thinks it's great while the other half complains. And then when the feature is actually added, they change their minds and they love it. Literally the same thing is about to happen with this update.

I didn't mean to offend you, but just because they add something does not mean they won't add other stuff you like. And as far as adding new stone, they tried that with andestite, diorite, and granite. People were happy at first, but after a little bit of initial hype people realized that not only did they not look that great, but they also added a new block that filled up valuable inventory space while mining (Remember those diamonds you found? Well they didn't go into your inventory because a single block of granite was in it's space) and was mainly just a nuisance especially when trying to create nice looking underground rooms without too much work. I'm not trying to shut you down or prevent your opinion, but as far as "the devs are out of ides" goes, of course they are. Its been SIX YEARS. I also don't understand why "don't use them" is such a terrible response. I am legitimately asking for a more detailed answer to this question. I do not understand how the terracotta could be any better for what it is trying to accomplish. Like i said, there needs to be a direct replacement that mimics or takes over the role of the terracotta for this to be a reasonable argument. I realize there is a huge number of people who disagree with these blocks, but it makes up less than a tenth of the total community, and even less are as strongly opposed to it as you are. Unlike the new wool palete, which affects already existing builds, or the combat update, there's nothing in the snapshot that you couldn't go your entire experience without using. Any pixel artists will tell you the concrete is a miracle foe making better looking builds without using the loud texture of wool.

And finally, the simplest, easiest, and best solution, just save us all some time and use a resource pack. I saw someone made more monochromatic versions of the terracotta that keeps the pattern but eliminates all the wacky colors. I don't have a direct link, but just peruse the reddit and you'll find it.

Awesome blocks http://i.imgur.com/kpvAGFS.png These are pictures of smooth blocks, not carpets, which is what you are talking about, or designs, which is the primary purpose of terracotta. You wouldn't replace pistons with airplanes because they're "better". If you want to replace something, it has to have the same purpose.

Blocks like that or even the carpets from chisel 2 (which I loved.) The current blocks look like poorly designed carpets They're supposed to be mosaic blocks, not carpet. and the concrete from what I can tell is just a solid color. Which allows a vibrant, true-color alternative to stained clay which, if you couldn't tell, is very bland and unsaturated, not to mention that the white is a peach color.

I personally love both the new blocks, and the new color palette. I gotta get used to the newly textured and very bright wool, but it's definitely an improvement to how they were before. Agreed. Unfortunately the wool messed up some builds' colors, but overall it's an improvement.

0.6 seconds, actually. Swords don't even take a second to charge. Infact, players are invincible for 0.5 seconds after taking damage, so while you're waiting to recharge you couldn't do damage anyway regardless of how fast you clicked, and that was the case before 1.9.

Also, I don't like the shield. If I want to block an attack, I right click my sword. If I want to not get hit by an arrow, I dodge it. 1.8 made PvP amazing, 1.9 ruined it.

In 1.9 if you want to block an attack, you right click with your shield. Almost no different, except shields block 100% of damage. You can still dodge arrows if you want of course, it's not like they prevented you from strafing. You're probably better off strafing than using the shield as you could still attack and moving at full speed.

Awful. 1.8 made PvP awesome, 1.9 ruined it.

1.8 didn't change PvP aside from fixing block hitting.

The new swing speed and axe damage is STUPID and un-necessary.

The cooldown, probably the worst part about it, is ridiculous IMO as clicking fast and strafing was always the norm, now we have shields and we just hit one another, wait 2 seconds then hit again, dealing less damage due to shields.

Shields ruined the point of dodging.

Clicking fast and strafing is a hilariously horribly low skill ceiling
